I had a snaccident while cooking dinner. Half a bag of peanuts.

lilgreen · 23/01/2020 19:53

D: salmon fillet baked in foil, green lentils, wilted spinach and mushrooms

y0rkier0se · 23/01/2020 20:12

Weighed in at 16”3 again this morning. Had a banana and strawberry smoothie for breakfast, some cold chicken, a bag of whole grain snack crisp things and three oranges from lidl, eaten in lidl carpark on the way to a course for lunch. Then had a lovely tea - pork fillet wrapped in Parma ham with peppers, courgette, mushroom, tomatoes, mozzarella and new potatoes for tea. Delicious. Finishing on 1500 kcals.

Egghead68 · 23/01/2020 20:22

Today’s been a write-off but a lot of fun. Back on track-ish tomorrow.

JontyDoggle37 · 23/01/2020 20:48

@JessJonesJumps big glass of water and do something to distract yourself!!
I’ve been ok today, not brilliant, but a massively long day (still more work to do) so have managed very well, one small snack and quite a few coffees but all skinny milk.

recklessgran · 23/01/2020 21:00

Thanks all for your reassurances. I've been reading that it's very common in the 3rd week of Keto to stall for a bit. Apparently it's the body's shock reaction which causes water retention replacing the fat being burnt in the cells. I'll take that for now even though I don't really understand the science. Feeling good anyway.
I ate 2 chipolatas whilst dishing up the DGC's dinner. I think that's O.K. apart from the fact that it's my OMAD day. I had tuna mayo and salad followed by a sugar free jelly. Been very busy today workwise so I've been desk bound. Current steps 1060. Bad reckless!

lilgreen · 23/01/2020 21:06

Anyone see the diet tv program with Hugh and Steph? Apparently delaying eating impulse treats by 25 seconds helps to say no and sniffing peppermint oil, drinking peppermint tea helps quell your appetite.

Ihatesundays · 23/01/2020 21:25

I did a power walk tonight and my fitbit says it used 455 calories! Not sure that’s quite true...

Egghead68 · 23/01/2020 21:43

I think 455 cals is possible if you walked briskly for an hour or so.

I saw the programme with Steph McG and Hugh F-W. Sniffing peppermint oil seems like a good idea. I must get some.

cricketmum84 · 23/01/2020 21:56

Must try the peppermint tea thing!

Good eating day today. Ended up with a spicy Thai noodle bowl for lunch as I didn't fancy soup. 8 points so not too bad. I was seriously hangry though and very snappy!

Had a bit of a work crisis so didn't have chance to make my curry. Lovely DH did me 2 no porkies sausages with butternut squash mash and the last of my beetroot stalks and leaves sautéed in a teaspoon of flora.

Are you drinking plenty of water @recklessgran? I keep being told the best way to beat water retention is to drink more water (it never makes sense to me lol).

@lilgreen lovely to see you back in the thread!

@AdventureTravelDreamer come back we miss you

Egghead68 · 24/01/2020 05:53

65.4kg after a total binge yesterday.
Plan: stick to fruit and black coffee.

Ihatesundays · 24/01/2020 07:37

I was convinced today was my day. Absolutely no change. Aarrrgghh!

DownUdderer · 24/01/2020 07:42

Some really good weight loss for some of us! You're inspiring me! Thanks! It was ridiculously hot last night, then a crazy storm rolled in and knocked out the power for our suburb! So I couldn't even have my fan blowing, we got power back this afternoon. A tree must've come down. I had lost a pound this morning, that must've just been from sweating!

DownUdderer · 24/01/2020 07:43

Ihatesundays the worst bit of weightloss is how unpredictable it seems to be. Keep on keeping on. Drink lots of water. 😀

lilgreen · 24/01/2020 07:45

@DownUdderer I can’t imagine the heat. So cold and dismal here in my part of UK at the moment.
Weight is a fickle creature. After my delight yesterday at being only 3lb up at 9 10, I had a good day, consumed less than 1300 cals, big dog walk and this morning I’m up 1lb . Grrrrrrrrrr!

cricketmum84 · 24/01/2020 07:56

Well after a night of approx 2 hours sleep I am utterly exhausted and ready to go back to bed! Haven't bothered to weigh.

Fruit and yoghurt got pushed aside this morning in favour of quorn bacon in a toasted pitta. Will just have watermelon for lunch now I've used 6 points already.

Maybe beetroot risotto for lunch although I'm trying to be as low carb as possible. Any beetroot ideas more than welcome!

Risotto for dinner not lunch. Too tired to concentrate properly sorry!

Skyejuly · 24/01/2020 09:00

I'm back down to 9.13 after maintaining. Goes to show daily weighing moves so much.

KnucklesMcGinty · 24/01/2020 09:03

Poor you @cricketmum84. I just want carbs when I'm tired.
That's interesting about peppermint tea. I drink lots of it because it doesn't break the fast like normal tea with milk. I've never noticed if it reduces appetite, I'll try to pay attention!

Vebrithien · 24/01/2020 09:23

Morning all, this time of year is so hard for motivation!
I'm 14 weeks now, tummy is feeling hard at the bottom. Have maintained my weight at 91.5kg for 3 weeks now, so am looking to carry on in that vein.
Also had all the screening results back, and they are all low risk (phew!).
Got swimming with DD today, and then think we'll have a quiet afternoon.
Take care all.

Onesmallstep67 · 24/01/2020 09:53

Happy Friday everyone. Ending the week feeling better than I did on Monday morning. Teetering just on the cusp of 15st 6/7lbs. If I can be sensible over the weekend and up to the end of the month I'm hoping to drop another pound or two. Everything crossed.
@Vebrithien , lovely to hear that things are going so well with mini V. and you are feeling well Flowers
@cricketmum84, you have my sympathies, feeling knackered after such little sleep must feel rubbish. Let's hope your Friday is kind to you.
Have a wonderful weekend Smile

Tryingtwo · 24/01/2020 10:58

Good morning all, just a quick check in. 1356 cals yesterday 6 over target - I had 90 cals left so had a little bar of dairy milk at 96. Smile

Skyejuly · 24/01/2020 11:00

I just ate my Los toast without thinking. Why do I do that.

Somesortofzilla · 24/01/2020 11:16

Morning all!

@recklessgran that's very frustrating, good to know that it's a common experience though! Do you have today planned for yourself?

@cricketmum84 that's tough, I'm sorry you're so tired, give in to the need for carbs, your body needs it!

@lilgreen I have never heard of that! Thank you! (walks off to buy peppermint oil)

@DownUdderer wow, you're really not getting a break! Hate being too warm I'd never

@Vebrithien that's great news, and a massive weight off your shoulders (I know, I know) well done at maintaining! Glad it's all going well for you growing small humans is exhausting Grin

I have to say this was the longest week ever. Prepping for court next week, in on Tuesday, think I have everything I need and my solicitor is confident he'll get his arse handed to him. SO I've made loads of plans, although threats of snow so may have to rethink if they are actually right!! All going well we'll be outside all weekend, worst case scenario we'll be making a snowman.

Have a great day!
