Some spam above, I can’t remember how to report it. I’m not 100% focused at the moment but I’m trying to be good! I’ve been to the beach today and had a swim in the water.

Egghead68 · 08/01/2020 03:55

I reported it earlier.

Terrible insomnia (must be catching this week @cricketmum84) and just eaten 750 calories to try to settle myself - didn’t work :(

Going to be tough getting through the day on no sleep and another 750 calories...

Egghead68 · 08/01/2020 06:30

65.9kg. Up .9kg after my nighttime feast. Hopefully it’s the weight of the food inside me.

Black coffee needed now!

bluepixie · 08/01/2020 07:08

So yest was a write off. Went for dinner had starter main and pudding! And plus that cheese sandwhich at lunch. im up 1.5 pounds coz of that. Very cross.

I’m also doing a fast today. 800 cals is prob lowest I can do, same tmrw.
Then my weekend break.
Plan - 2 eggs
Lunch - salad with a small bit of feta
Dinner - ready meal of 300 cals

bluepixie · 08/01/2020 07:09

Hope ur not too tired egghead! Let’s both get back on track today Halo

cricketmum84 · 08/01/2020 07:24

Morning my lovelies! I slept a little better last night so feeling a tiny bit more normal this morning although still quite sleep deprived and a bit shaky. @Egghead68 you have my sympathies!

My weight is jumping around a bit even though I'm eating very little and not snacking so I'm staying away from the scales until Saturday.

Plan for today is black coffee this morning. Snacks only from work fruit bowl.
L - Morrison's salad bar
D - 2 veggie sausages with roasted cauliflower and broccoli

Have a great day everyone!!

I have actual weight loss. 71.5kg.
Hopefully weight watchers is going to work and this is the start of it.

AdventureTravelDreamer · 08/01/2020 08:22

@JontyDoggle37 I'd definitely be up for an accountability buddy too.

Have been easing myself in the last couple of days if I am honest but need to pick it up a gear now I think! Part of my issue is that I agreed to do Veganuary with Ds & Dd and so it has thrown me from foods I would normally eat when on a diet such as eggs, cottage cheese and yogurt (I'm veggie anyway so it is only the diary I am cutting out) On the plus side it does mean I am avoiding all the leftover biscuits and chocolate in the office Smile

Am working from home today so I can go to an appointment with DH so should be easier to stay much lower calorie.

cricketmum84 · 08/01/2020 08:32

@AdventureTravelDreamer alpro simply plain yoghurt is absolutely lovely. I actually prefer it to natural yoghurt. It's a zero point food on ww so must be low in fat. I have it with berries as a snack but also make raita with it with mint sauce and grated cucumber to dip veggies in.

Morning all (and thank you Jess!)

I've had a banging headache all night, probably either caffeine or sugar withdrawal though isn't it. Must have lost a lot of water as my weight is down 2kg from yesterday!!

Stuck to my food all day yesterday and also got in a 15 min mile workout, so I've been positively angelic 😇 that's only day one though...

NerrSnerr · 08/01/2020 09:20

I'm still plodding on. Only started the diet on Monday so weight isn't down yet but feeling motivated.

Going to try and get up for a 7am spinning class tomorrow.

Egghead68 · 08/01/2020 09:27

Thanks @cricketmum84 and @Cream123. Glad you slept a bit better @cricketmum84.

Nice loss @Ihatesundays.

Hope you made your 7am spin class @NerrSnerr. Every week I say I am going to go to them and I've only once managed to get myself up and ready in time.

We can do this!

Egghead68 · 08/01/2020 09:28

and nice loss @BeyondFlubeInclusionaryRF

Onesmallstep67 · 08/01/2020 09:31

Morning everyone. I seem to have zero willpower here at the moment. If anything I am not just snacking I am positively overeating and not sure why. I have always loved food and can never understand people who seem a bit indifferent to it. For the most part I still make healthier choices ( that bit seems to have become almost second nature now which is great) but there are still way too many goodies in the house and I am eating them even though my brain is telling me not to. And I happened to hit upon lots of reduced stuff in M&S food , some of which was fine but i bought a pasta salad, thinking my daughter would want it.She didn't ! So that got consumed in about 3 lots yesterday- in addition to chocolate covered brandy snaps and more than a handful of Celebrations !!
The good news is that after all of that I am still 15st 11lbs. But I have been around this weight for ages now. I hope when I get my act together the weight should drop a little. I promised myself that I was not going to regain any of what I lost last year. Time for a more sensible ( restrained ) approach I think- wish me luck !

Egghead68 · 08/01/2020 09:33

Not sure if I'm allowed to advertise another thread but a few of us on here (well 2 at least) are doing the walk or jog or run a mile a day challenge on this thread:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/3779618-Run-jog-walk-a-mile-a-day-in-2020-Join-the-bandwagon-early

It's a really manageable amount of exercise for a lot of people.

Tryingtwo · 08/01/2020 09:45

After Monday's 1500+, I wasn't hungry yesterday until about 11pm so I went to bed rather than eat Halo. Only had 977 cals so average for both days is about 1250.
Weigh in today 13st 11lbs which is down 4.4lbs for the month, surprised but happy.
Dgs2 saw me weighing out frozen berries for my porridge so went and got a spoon. He helped me eat my breakfast by eating all the strawberries and half the blueberries as well as a few hefty spoonfuls of the porridge itself!

JontyDoggle37 · 08/01/2020 09:46

Morning, quick check in. Down again, another 1.3lbs to 12st 5.5. I’ve had a banging headache since the middle of the night. I don’t drink caffeine or eat much sugar but I’ve stopped alcohol and I’ve got a nasty feeling my body is telling me exactly how much wine I was drinking. Just another motivator though to stay off it. Only managed 20 mins of the planned 60 mins exercise this morning as I felt so rubbish when I got up.

JontyDoggle37 · 08/01/2020 09:46

For everyone saying they’d like to be an accountability buddy, I’ll go through all the posts tonight and pair people up

Somesortofzilla · 08/01/2020 09:53

@Ecci @JessJonesJumps @MsTSwift that's a fab loss! congrats!

@naturistmum think that's what I need, accountability. I gave up on meetings, I'd bring the kids and it was just a mess, I never got to stay for the meetings as the small fella would cry and the other jumping around the place begging to go outside. weighing was enough of a chore. Oh that sounds exciting, I'd love to go and not be scared of someone taking pictures!!

@MirandaWest I know what you mean. Honestly, the only thing that has kept me on track is making my meals ahead of time. Tonight after dinner I'll be making lunch and dinner for the next 3/4 days and I'll keep going with that or I'll snack. It's hard.

@beyondFlubeInclusionaryRF oh exciting! Good luck!

And everyone else, well done!

Well today was Dday, I took to the scales this morning, apres using the facilities obvs (you never know!!), and aren't I down 6.4kg!

I know I can't expect this kind of loss again but fuck lads, goes to show how bad my snacking was!!!!

Even if I only lose 1kg between now and Feb that's still a fab loss in my books!

I did b2b FD Mon and Tues, all on plan, back to 'normal eating' today but sticking to my no snacking, and make it count woe. I think the 5:2 is my way Smile

Good luck everyone!

Tryingtwo · 08/01/2020 10:05

Somesortofzilla congratulations that is an amazing loss! I had to convert to lbs as kgs don't mean anything to me so 14.11lbs so over a stone!

Tryingtwo · 08/01/2020 10:12

JontyDoggle37 I meant to say yesterday that an accountability buddy is a great idea, I looked back to the beginning of this thread, to confirm my start weight, and so many people have disappeared already.

bluepixie · 08/01/2020 10:13

I’d like a buddy too!
But I’m about to start an ivf cycle next week with a aim to maintain during the month I’m doing it, so don’t expect any losses from me. I usually gain a lot during them (have to take steroids ) but really don’t want to this time. But I’d like to stick around here still (I know it’s not a maintain thread but it most likely won’t work and I’ll be back on post a week binge and tears to start loosing again)

recklessgran · 08/01/2020 10:38

I'd like a buddy too! That's a great idea @JontyDoggle37.
@Egghead68 I'm going to look at your mile thread - thank you. I definitely need to up my game exercise wise.
Down another half pound today so that's 8.75lbs since I started last Monday. Yippee, I think I've found the right diet for me at long last.

HRHPrincessMegan · 08/01/2020 11:28

Morning.
Start weight 11st 13lbs
End of week 1 weight 11.11st.

I am slightly disappointed with my 2lbs loss, especially as the scales haven’t shifted in the past 3 days. I’ve exercised each of the last 5 days and eaten very sensibly but I haven’t eliminated carbs which is I suspect why the scales are being stubborn. On the plus side I have eaten any rubbish and I’m feeling energised and well. I think it’s going to be a slow burner for me.

JessJonesJumps · 08/01/2020 11:51

Some brilliant losses! Hurrah!
Well, as suspected, yesterday's 3lbs loss was a fluke or faulty scale so I was 1lb up today. However, I did eat cake yesterday and did no exercise so it wasn't a surprise.
I did a 30 mins circuit work out this morning just at home with a video but I'm feeling very proud of myself even if I did have to adapt some of the exercises for my hip issue. I also got a supermarket delivery so have lots of healthy food and snacks.
A random alarm near our house keeps going off at 3am and waking DS, who in turn wakes us... so I am tired and grumpy but hoping not to succumb to emotional eating in response. Sending you all lots of wishes for a determined, non-hungry and energetic day Grin
