Fab thank you @JontyDoggle37 for doing the pairing up :)

Well I’ve lost 1 kg since NYD, suspect it might be the loss of alcohol bloat though, as I’m also doing dry January.

We’ll see how much I lose on the next weigh in (Wed 15th).

Thanks to the person who recommended filler soups. I’ve found Tesco low fat lentil and veg is a good one at 175 cals per tin. I have to add a bit of chilli to mine.

KnucklesMcGinty · 08/01/2020 12:41

Jonty I'd be interested in pairing up, thanks. I'm still following the thread but don't want to post everyday - if I do, I'll become obsessed, in a bad way!

beforeIhit30 · 08/01/2020 13:23

That’s really kind @JontyDoggle37 I don’t want a buddy on this occasion (currently tracking is keeping me honest!) but I wanted to say that’s a really nice offer from you to coordinate Smile

I don’t have a set weigh in day, I just do it as and when, but it will usually be at least a couple of times in a week. I’m 159.8lb (which is... 11st 5.8lb). Anyway, I’m in the 150s! Just Grin but yay! I also checked my measurements against when I first took them in mid-September and I’ve lost 2” from my hips and 3.5” from my waist Shock so feeling pretty good about that.

Had my pepper breakfast again Grin going to make myself something else now, not sure what but will probably involve berries, nuts, cocoa nibs and cream. I think. Not sure! Getting peckish again. Was going to take baby to a group today but got the days mixed up and it’s tomorrow, so I’m now feeling lacking in structure for the day. Might watch a documentary whilst I eat my assortment (I’m wild like that). Then baby we’ll go for a bit of a walk.

beforeIhit30 · 08/01/2020 13:24

*maybe, not baby...

JessJonesJumps · 08/01/2020 13:42

before well done on losing inches! And thanks for the reminder because I forgot to take measurements last week. I'll take them today.

Egghead68 · 08/01/2020 13:54

@Onesmallstep67 reduced stuff in M&S is my downfall too.

I'm trying to shove everything in the freezer and then ration it.

Good luck getting back on track!

Katinka2 · 08/01/2020 16:19

@onesmallstep67, I’m with you on finding this week so hard. I can’t get my head round it this week . For me I think I’m in the back of my mind still disappointed I’d put on over Christmas even though I’d expected I would with all the festivities. I feel I on the whole made good choices though compared to what I could have eaten.

I’m so hungry this week and keep eating carbs. Blaming it on peri menopausal hormones. Doesn’t help the Celebrations tub keeps winking at me!
I’m hanging in there, determined to have a very small tuna pasta when we eat tonight and hoping this is a blip. I so want to lose this weight by early summer- must keep thinking of my summer clothes sitting in drawers.

BeyondFlubeInclusionaryRF · 08/01/2020 17:08

Had to go back to bed earlier, painkillers weren't touching my headache. It's just about bearable now, but still there. I had tinned oxtail soup earlier with added salt, in the hope it was a salt headache (given water loss), but that didn't help.

Dinner is now cooking and is white fish with pesto, steamed veg and salad

Juliette20 · 08/01/2020 17:16

I've just started this week:

Starting weight: 191lbs
Jan target: 186 lbs
Loss for December: +1lbs
Loss so far: 14 lbs
Target: 160 lbs
Plan: MFP plus cutting out bread, most dairy, meat, sugar and crisps.

bluepixie · 08/01/2020 17:52

Managed my 800 day in 850. Mouth zipped shut now.
Welcome @julitte and yes thanks for matching @JontyDoggle37

bluepixie · 08/01/2020 17:53

Sent to soon!

Good of u to do...

cricketmum84 · 08/01/2020 19:09

Our local news just showed a man who had managed to lose 10 stone. He was still 230kg though. He then put on 6 STONE over Christmas. How is that even possible?!?!

Just thought I would share for those of us feeling rubbish about gaining a little over Christmas!

tibni · 08/01/2020 19:21

Hello all, I'm keeping going! New job very full on trying to suss out cases so not had a lunch break all week so only 1 meal a day currently and so busy not really noticing.
Sorry not kept up with how everyone is doing currently but sending you all positive vibes Smile

recklessgran · 08/01/2020 19:37

Hi @tibni glad new job is keeping you busy - sounds great if you then can only manage one meal a day. Win, win!

Hoolahoophop · 08/01/2020 19:46

Cricketmum Shock I'm not sure I could eat that weight over Christmas and I'm a proper glutton at times.

Cream I have done the same today I hope.

But I'm not trusting my calorie count. I fasted all day then had 80g (dry) brown rice with a small serving of home made Thai curry. I guessed 800 ish, google gave me answers of between 80 and 300 cal for the rice and Fitbit reckoned 300 for a cup of curry. I wasn't counting when I made the curry so no idea what's in it (it's part of my freezer stash!)

Ah well it can't be much higher. So I'll count it as a good day. Grin

KnucklesMcGinty · 08/01/2020 20:03

I started back at my very intensive exercise class today, so I was starving and had a massive dinner. It was healthy bean chilli, and within my non-fasting window though, so could be worse. I fully expect to be hungry tomorrow too.

KnucklesMcGinty · 08/01/2020 20:07

Targets & rewards
How is everyone choosing their final target weight? I'm thinking of aiming for a BMI in the middle of the healthy range, which is about 66kg for me. I'm considering a reward if I can maintain for 3 months - a trip to rigby & peller.
Any thoughts? What is everyone else planning?

NerrSnerr · 08/01/2020 20:22

@KnucklesMcGinty my target is to be about 9 stone initially which is within a healthy BMI and a size 8-10. I still have my 8-10 clothes so want to be back in them. My reward will be getting into my clothes again, it'll be like having a brand new wardrobe as it's been about 5 years since I fitted in them!!

Juliette20 · 08/01/2020 20:28

How is everyone choosing their final target weight?

Top end of BMI, I think anything less than that might be unrealistic. Haven't been there since before I had DD2. And anyway, I'd be a size 10 at that weight and would look pretty slim at 5'7 and a bit.

Onesmallstep67 · 08/01/2020 20:29

@Egghead68 and @Katinka2 thank you for the empathy. I'm glad I'm not alone in my struggles! I have had a better day, shovelled much less rubbish. Had a massive stir fry and feeling full. Will have a 10 cal jelly with a squit of cream if I feel the need ( to be bad)
I'mnot sure if this counts as a NSV but I managed to find a pair of high heeled knee high boots which actually zip up over my calves. Making me feel super gorgeous and that is always a bonus Wink

Egghead68 · 08/01/2020 20:34

@KnucklesMcGinty am going for an end target of 60kg it’s what I weighed in 2005 which is the last time I was a size 10 and it puts my BMI towards the bottom of the healthy range at 19.5.

I don’t like to think too much about end-goals though. I am just trying to get through a month at a time.

Egghead68 · 08/01/2020 20:35

Glad you had a good day @Onesmallstep67 and good NSV!
