Morning all! And welcome to the December edition of lose 7lbs!

A huge to welcome to the newbies, long term followers and contributors and the lurkers!

I would dearly love to lose 7lbs in December but accepting that I'm probably going to relax things a little, have some chocolate or some cheese, mulled wine and stollen.

I will still be following ww and 16:8 most days. I'm also going to try stay mostly vegan with the exception of local eggs which I think should help me stay on track!

Stats are:
Dec starting weight: 18.13
Dec target weigh: 18.7
Loss for November: 3lbs
Loss for 2019: 6stone 5lbs

Happy December to all and let's get our festive groove on!

@Ecci - I do sit ups, crunches, planks, side-planks, reverse crunches, oblique crunches, leg lowers and ...absolutely no change. I still have a huge fat lump on my stomach that is out of proportion with the rest of me (though I fantasize that there is a 6-pack underneath it Grin). I think the only solution is losing overall fat but it seems to come off my stomach last...

@Startoftheyear2019 no proper advice but I am giving into temptation in a limited way (e.g. one mince pie not three) so I don't feel too deprived.

7Worfs · 04/12/2019 18:00

Thanks for the wishes 🥳 had the plainest of dinners - chicken breast, mushrooms and 3 new potatoes, yet I really enjoyed it.
Fasted since 5pm, got to behave.

Megsmcgoo · 04/12/2019 18:31

Hi all! Hope you’ve had a good day, working from home day today and that’s a danger zone, find I want to snack so much more when I’m by myself and OH doesn’t get home until 9. However it is an on plan day Xmas Grin

2 poached eggs and 2 slices of toast
Tomato soup and 2 crack breads
Chicken noodles with lots of veg

Fruit salad and advent chocolates

Ihatesundays · 04/12/2019 18:41

I’m still keeping on with the 16:8

At 11am I had a banana and a biscuit (I keep trying to drop the biscuit but i really need it by then)
Sandwich and yoghurt with fruit for lunch
Baked potato with salad and small amount of cheese for tea (busy night)

Wildroselosesit · 04/12/2019 19:35

Thank you all for the welcome :-)
Is anyone else here doing ww blue? Today I've had green tea for breakfast, cheese and ham salad with hula hoops puft for lunch and chicken fajitas for dinner. I still have 10 points left for the day, ill use 6 on a sweet snack later and rollover 4 for the weekend

cricketmum84 · 04/12/2019 19:56

@Wildroselosesit I'm trying purple at the moment as my losses totally stalled on blue for weeks. I had a go at green but had so many points I used them all on rubbish lol

Wildroselosesit · 04/12/2019 20:00

@Cricketmum84 how are you finding purple? I think I'd binge on pasta!!

Vebrithien · 04/12/2019 20:12

Thanks everyone Xmas Grin

cricketmum84 · 04/12/2019 20:39

Purple is pretty good so far! I only eat pasta maybe once a fortnight, I am eating a lot of brown rice though.

To be honest my appetite has reduced massively over the last year (combination of stress, medication and just eating less overall) so I'm quite restrained on the carb portions.

I find it a lot like sw but without that constant undertone of "EAT EAT EAT" lol

Megsmcgoo · 04/12/2019 21:13

Ah I’m on the green plan! First week for me and enjoying it so far

Wildroselosesit · 04/12/2019 22:05

Purple seems more geared up to cooking at home all the time, not many points for sauces or eating out etc. I might give green a go if I stall on blue, but to be honest I'm quite near to goal now so I'll stay as I am if it continues working for me.
I'm not sure how it's going to go with all the festive meals out and things though, how is everyone else planning to handle Christmas food?

I'm thinking ill do what I can, when I can. So if its a meal out I'll relax, and if its not a planned social event (or Xmas day obviously) ill stick to plan. I don't want Christmas to become an excuse to eat a mince pie a day but equally I've worked really bloody hard to get almost 5stone off in the last 6 months and I want to enjoy myself a bit 😊

cricketmum84 · 04/12/2019 22:31

@Wildroselosesit yes I agree, and that really works for me, I don't use any premise sauces and cook pretty much everything from scratch. I think it's really good that they have the three different plans for different lifestyles though. And I'm really enjoying not having to weigh out rice!

It’s super smoky today. And hot, so it’s a high alert kind of day.

I went to the shopping mall today. I bought new gym pants, which I wear for hiking, and a new sports t shirt. It makes me laugh on the inside because I’ve never been sporty and have never shopped in these sporty shops! Anyway I’m happy with these new items. They were in the sale, so that’s always nice! I bought some cotton wool balls from a different shop, so the kids can make Father Christmas pictures later, and I got them for free because I had some points to use. That was nice! I just love getting things for free!

I had a mint and chocolate slice from a cafe, I hadn’t had breakfast. So it was a huge sugar hit. I don’t know why I did it! Just mindless. My Ds has a cupcake. I sort of enjoyed it, but I felt so ill afterwards. Yuck. That was a wake up call. I’m normally low carb and try and avoid sugary things. I felt sick and I hope to remind myself of that feeling to help me be sensible from now on.

Over the festival season I’m hoping to make good choices, not be too strict, but go with the flow. I’d still like to lose weight in December, but we’ll see how I go.

Welcome newbies and hello everyone. Koko!

puds11 · 05/12/2019 01:31

Hello can I join for December! Would love to loose 7lbs but realistically aiming for 4lbs. Gone from 187lbs in July to 156lbs now and finally have a healthy bmi! Would like to be closer to my 145lb goal. Using mfp mostly, walking and some gym.

DownUdderer · 05/12/2019 01:42

Join us! I’d like to lose 4 lbs, I’ve just to to focus a bit more!

Egghead68 · 05/12/2019 06:25

Stay safe @DownUdderer

67.3kg so 0.5 down this month amazingly despite going over calories on wine the last few days.

Plan:
B Muffin & peanut butter
L Greek salad
D Tofu stew
S Yoghurt

Hope everyone has a good day.

cricketmum84 · 05/12/2019 07:19

Stay safe @DownUdderer that sounds scary :( and welcome @puds11

I'm saying off the scales now until Saturday and crossing everything for another little whoosh!

Plan for today is my usual green tea and plenty of water. Just realised that I must be pretty much caffeine free now. Apart from maybe 4 gingerbread lattes over the last few weeks but I'm knocking them on the head now.
L - leftover portion of smoky aubergine chilli and quinoa
D - mushroom, garlic and leek risotto made with brown rice - haven't tried this before but arborio rice has points in so thought I would give it a go!

Hope everyone has a lovely Thursday, it's almost the weekend!!

Ihatesundays · 05/12/2019 07:38

@cricketmum84 cats job to interfere with Christmas trees....

I have an actual real to live loss. 0.4kg taking me to 72.1kg... I can see the 60s (also the 10 stones for non kilo people)

puds11 · 05/12/2019 08:36

So I’ve just weighed myself, which I was dreading, and I’m 152lbs! So 4lb goal reached! Now for that extra 3lbs. 7lbs is achievable after all.

MsTSwift · 05/12/2019 08:49

Ohh well done. I am stuck at 10.5 list 1.5 in last few months. Being really good but hit a plateau. Grrr.

puds11 · 05/12/2019 09:01

Thank you Smile The plateau is the worst! I hope it ends soon!

WoollyFoolly · 05/12/2019 09:15

Caved and ate more chocolates yesterday but skipped tea to compensate and today down to 12.1 - hurray!
So much illness in our household at the moment, 2 out of 3 kids sick and my DH just text to say he's also coming down with it. Hoping this means we'll have all had it and recovered by Christmas.

MsTSwift · 05/12/2019 09:42

Just resent that I did a turbo session cycled 3 miles in addition and forewent a bratwurst at a Christmas market skipped breakfast AND lunch and yet scales not moved...how is that fair?!
