Morning all! And welcome to the December edition of lose 7lbs!

A huge to welcome to the newbies, long term followers and contributors and the lurkers!

I would dearly love to lose 7lbs in December but accepting that I'm probably going to relax things a little, have some chocolate or some cheese, mulled wine and stollen.

I will still be following ww and 16:8 most days. I'm also going to try stay mostly vegan with the exception of local eggs which I think should help me stay on track!

Stats are:
Dec starting weight: 18.13
Dec target weigh: 18.7
Loss for November: 3lbs
Loss for 2019: 6stone 5lbs

Happy December to all and let's get our festive groove on!

The last time I was at the gp I wanted to say I’d lost two stone since I’d last been in, but I didn’t!

Koko everyone

cricketmum84 · 03/12/2019 06:58

Morning all!

Didn't do great yesterday with eating, had my chilli for lunch but then had a bit of upset in the evening with eldest DD and I can't eat when I'm upset so didn't bother with dinner.

Still 18.12 this morning so I feel a bit cheated!

Plan for today is:
Am - green tea and lemon
L - quorn chilli and brown rice
D - smoky aubergine chilli from the ww book with quinoa

There's an abundance of chilli today lol!

Welcome to all the new joiners from the last couple of days. Really hope you find this thread helpful!

Have a lovely Tuesday everyone ❤️

@DownUdderer I'm 6 and a half stone down from the last time I was weighed at the doctors so I couldn't not mention it 😂😂

Smoky aubergine chilli sounds delicious!

67.9kg. Feeling very uninspired about meals but probably:
B: Fruit salad, advent choc
L: Borlotti beans, green veg
S/D: Cheesy party snack things, yoghurt, salad
Circuits class.
Good luck today everyone.

Ihatesundays · 03/12/2019 07:39

Tired last night so no workout. Weight creeping back down today (73kg) hopefully a good sign.
DH is out tonight so can do a big workout in the front room, also I can have a light dinner.

DownUdderer · 03/12/2019 08:22

@cricketmum84 phenomenal!

7Worfs · 03/12/2019 10:45

Indulged in some chocolate yesterday after abstaining for weeks.
Weight is same today, phew. Now to stay away from Christmas treats. It’s going to be a long month!

Baguetteaboutit · 03/12/2019 11:14

I'm up 0.5lb. I've stayed in my calories so I won't stress about it. Did another round of cardio today which feels particularly virtuous as I was > < close to dodging it.

Am doing a better job of getting my food timed to get into 16:8 - only took a month to get organised Grin

Tryingtwo · 03/12/2019 12:46

Stayed the same, still 15st 10.8lbs. Had 1360 cals yesterday and plan to be under 1500 today so hopefully the increases are over for this week.

Tryingtwo · 03/12/2019 14:28

Slight change of plan now for today/tomorrow. My dm has a voucher, ehich expires at the end of the week, for a local pub, she has invited dd and me out for lunch tomorrow. I have looked at the dietary info and have three choices which are between 520 and 689 cals. Now I know, I'm going to stick to 1250 cals today and skip breakfast tomorrow so I can keep to my calories tomorrow.
Reading the dietary info was an eye opener. My usual choices at this pub are all over 1100 cals plus either a soft drink/1/2 of cider and occasionally a pudding (I didn't dare look at the calories in those). It's so damn easy to pile on the pounds isn't it?

lilgreen · 03/12/2019 15:29

B: a thin bagel with 1tsp peanut butter
L: avocado on slice of rye, apple
D: small jacket potato with beans and small amount of grated cheese.

Megsmcgoo · 03/12/2019 16:49

-Porridge pot for breakfast 5sp
-Same salad as yesterday, quite pointy but once I’ve done a proper food shop it’ll be better!

  • Bolognese with macaroni as I’ve just seen we have no spaghetti!
  • couple of apples and advent chocolate 🍫
DownUdderer · 04/12/2019 02:14

I’m trying to go very low carb today, I was a bit off plan yesterday. I’ll have egg mayo and low carb bread for lunch.

It’s just so smoky at the moment, it makes my eyes dry.

cricketmum84 · 04/12/2019 07:00

Went off plan yesterday as I had awful migraine and couldn't cope with cooking. Had a bag of twiglets for lunch and 2 cauldron sausage with sweet potato mash for dinner.

Down to 18.11 this morning. I wonder if increasing my food a bit and introducing more carbs has had an effect on my metabolism as I'm feeling hungry more often now and the scales have finally started moving again!

Plan for today is
L - some sort of salad, may add spicy roasted chickpeas
D - 2nd attempt at the aubergine chilli plus brown rice and salad

I have a days holiday today for a meeting at DDs school and a spot of Christmas shopping :)

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

@DownUdderer are the fires still burning?

OP posts:
Egghead68 · 04/12/2019 07:20

67.6kg
Went over with a large glass of wine yesterday (medicinal - felt like I had a cold coming on).

I suspect today is not going to be a healthy eating day as I’m craving sugar but I’ll try to stay more or less within calories.

Have a good Wednesday everyone!

Ihatesundays · 04/12/2019 07:33

Weight is creeping back down (72.8kg). Still frustrating though.
Would be nice to have a week or two where I had genuine regular weight loss.

I’m doing 16:8 so I don’t follow any particular diet, which might be the issue. I just try to be good with food in general and think small slips are fine as I am time limited, I’m not a massive eater anyway. Worked before anyway.

Egghead68 · 04/12/2019 09:13

OK I have a plan.

B: Salted caramel tiramisu (312), fruit salad (140) advent choc (70)
L: Tofu stew (460)
D: Tofu stew (460)
Walking club, spinning

Eating the tiramisu now and it is a disappointment - I think I actually prefer yoghurt.

Tryingtwo · 04/12/2019 09:20

Today's my weigh in day. 15st 9.4lbs which is 1.4 down from yesterday but exactly the same as last Wednesday.

DownUdderer · 04/12/2019 09:36

The fires are still burning. They’ve not stopped for a month at least. One was heading our way a few weeks ago, then the wind took it off in the opposite direction. I was relieved. Now a different one has sprung up and it’s creating all this smoke and our veranda was covered in ash this morning. I’ve never seen anything like it. I think we’re all dreaming of rain.

I had steak and veggies for dinner. I’ve managed a pretty good low carb day. If I can string a few good days together in a row I’ll be hopeful for a pound off.

Onesmallstep67 · 04/12/2019 10:17

morning everyone, hope your week is going well.

DownUdderer, sounds pretty scary, let's hope that rain comes, and soon!

I've bobbled back up to a smidgen over 15 st 12lbs but the bag of Maltesers last night is possibly/probably to 'blame' ( obviously not me !)
Overall not eating too badly, just need to knock my tendency to reward my 'good day' with unneeded extras. On the positive side I am happy to be staying under 16st and as long as I end the year at this weight or lower I will be satisfied with what I have achieved. Xmas Smile

Baguetteaboutit · 04/12/2019 11:20

Back down to 10 st 5.75. Day 4/30 cardio done.

B: Porridge w. trimmings
L: chickpea curry on spinach
D: chicken, sweet potato, broccoli

Baguetteaboutit · 04/12/2019 11:26

Disappointingly, even though I've a bmi of 23.4, my waist is still in the danger zone at almost 32 inches. The joys of being an apple Hmm. I think I'm going to be on this thread for some time come. I'm determined to be healthy.

Egghead68 · 04/12/2019 12:12

Sounds awful @DownUdderer. I hope you get rain soon.

I can't remember if you are peri/menopausal like me @Baguetteaboutit (forgive me if I am completely wrong!). If so, it seems superhard to shift abdominal fat. I guess it's oestrogen-related.

Wildroselosesit · 04/12/2019 13:13

Hey everyone, can I join?
I joined ww on 1st May this year weighing 15st 9.5lbs, and now 6months on I weigh 10st 11.5lbs. I would love to get to 10st 7lbs for Christmas. Looking forward to get to know you all 😊
