Morning all! And welcome to the December edition of lose 7lbs!

A huge to welcome to the newbies, long term followers and contributors and the lurkers!

I would dearly love to lose 7lbs in December but accepting that I'm probably going to relax things a little, have some chocolate or some cheese, mulled wine and stollen.

I will still be following ww and 16:8 most days. I'm also going to try stay mostly vegan with the exception of local eggs which I think should help me stay on track!

Stats are:
Dec starting weight: 18.13
Dec target weigh: 18.7
Loss for November: 3lbs
Loss for 2019: 6stone 5lbs

Happy December to all and let's get our festive groove on!

Full of cheer, cheese and mince pies, just as baby Jesus intended. Xmas Grin

Megsmcgoo · 25/12/2019 20:16

Happy Christmas all!

DownUdderer · 26/12/2019 06:01

I'm a pound down today, I really couldn't find any snacks yesterday! I'm happy and surprised! I'm down five pounds for December.

I think because I'm not drinking alcohol it really cuts down the calories.

7Worfs · 26/12/2019 09:37

Very impressive, DownU, I’m not drinking either (still BF-ing) and it really helps.

I’m 0.7kg heavier than yesterday, but I’m putting it down to water retention. Xmas Grin

Now I’m entering the danger zone b/w Christmas and NYE where there’s too many leftovers... It’s going to get messy I feel.

cricketmum84 · 26/12/2019 10:20

Happy Boxing Day everyone! After worrying about overeating at Christmas I'm actually doing the opposite! Didn't really have much Christmas dinner and had no dessert. Then fell asleep in the evening and didn't eat anything at all the rest of the day! Drank too much though and feel a bit shaky today. Wondering when is an appropriate time for a G&T??

Cooking for the in laws today so busy busy prepping veg. Wish me luck!

P.s still maintaining at 18.13!

Morning all. Wasn’t going to weigh but couldn’t resist. Up 3lb!
25th:
Started the day with an hour’s dog walk.
B: scrambled egg with strips of smoked salmon, sourdough toast
L: canapés of smoked salmon, mini veggie spring rolls, mini ham& leek tarts, olives
D: Christmas dinner but only ate 2 potatoes, turkey, tbsp stuffing, sprouts, red cabbage, roast parsnips, carrots, bread sauce.Small amount ofChristmas pudding with ice cream
S: 2 crackers with cheese, lots of champagne
Can see where the 3lb has come from now, but I think it’s mainly water and trapped food!
Ice skating today and later, turkey salad so hopefully short lived gain.

Ihatesundays · 26/12/2019 10:44

Shouldn’t have weighed myself - oops!

cricketmum84 · 26/12/2019 12:19

Little NSV for me. I hadn't realised just how much my face shape had changed since I started losing weight last Christmas!

Cheeky Christmas snap comparison for you :)

cricket that’s amazing, and your complexion is fab, lovely healthy glow 👌🏼

Egghead68 · 26/12/2019 14:55

Looking good @cricketmum84.

I wasn’t too bad yesterday (2400) but today I really went for it for some reason and hit the chocolates, cream, booze and roast parsnips.

Planning to get back on track tomorrow.

lilgreen · 26/12/2019 20:36

Looking good @cricketmum84 in both photos.
Well I ice skated today for 2 hrs and skipped lunch so was sooo hungry by 5.30.
B: poached egg on a crumpet
L: nowt
D: cold turkey, 2 roast potatoes and salad plus a bit of Hellman’s light mayo. 1 small glass of Merlot .

cricketmum84 · 27/12/2019 07:00

Aw thanks guys :)

Well we are on to that in between stage where all the crisps, chocs, cheese and pork pies need using up! It's so hard to stay strong at the time of the year.

Yesterday I cooked another full Christmas dinner for DHs mum and dad. His mum got drunk after 2 glasses of wine and kept telling me the same 3 stories on repeat so I decided to join her 😂

I had about half a slice of mushroom wellington and some sprouts and broccoli. No dessert. Then I'm the evening (whilst watching Gavin and Stacey from series 1) had 2 crusty rolls with some smoked salmon pate.

Haven't weighed this morning!

Back to work today but it's my short day where I finish at 2.30 and have lots to do so it will fly. Then not in the office until the 7th bar a couple of days working from home.

I was also gifted some gorgeous looking posh vegan chocolates for Christmas so thinking I may portion it out into 4ww point portions for a daily treat in case I come over all Cookie Monster and devour the lot!

Have a lovely day everyone whatever you are up to!

Forgot meal plan!
Am - back on the water and green tea
L - Morrison's salad bar - nothing creamy or cheesy
D - family are having turkey fajitas, I'm thinking jackfruit chilli on romaine lettuce as wraps!
Snacks - work fruit bowl, graze nuts

Morning all. Well done to those of you maintaining for still losing over the festive period, you’re amazing! Weighed in this morning for the first tine in a week and as expected it was bad news - up 3.7lbs!! Some of that will be water retention from salty food yesterday, but my god it’s really gone back onto my face! Lots of it was alcohol too, so back to none today. Back on track today, food plan is:
B: avo and egg on toast
L: Roast Goose in lettuce wraps with tomatoes, peppers and sweet chilli sauce
D: Goose and bacon pie, broccoli, carrots, gravy
There’s definitely a Goose theme going on lol!

JontyDoggle37 · 27/12/2019 08:51

Also forgot to add I’ve been ill all Christmas with a cough/sore throat thing which isn’t going away and I’ve been really poor on the self care front so this morning is hot honey and lemon, paracetamol and antiseptic gargle, and as much water as I can drink to get all my systems into ‘clear out’ mode. We’re also going for a walk round the woods with the dogs so that will do my metabolism wonders too. Have a great one everyone.

lilgreen · 27/12/2019 09:02

Well those +3 lbs are still there this morning despite my lack of lunch and ice skating yesterday.Angry Annoying that just one day of indulgence can undo all that good work.

7Worfs · 27/12/2019 09:24

I think a lot of the overnight gain is water retention due to salty goods as Jonty said.

My lowest weight was Christmas morning at 58.9kg, I’m a bit heavier now and still plenty of food around that needs eating...

lilgreen · 27/12/2019 09:28

Thanks @7Worfs I hope so. I’m not giving in. Won’t be drinking today and planning a big walk with the dog. I have teen DDs so don’t want to deny myself around them too much as I’m always conscious that they should have a good and balanced attitude to diet.

Ihatesundays · 27/12/2019 09:38

I’m a kilo heavier and I feel bloated.

I’m off the booze now. We are going out for pizza later but will be good all weekend - promise!!

WoollyFoolly · 27/12/2019 09:45

Morning all! Holding fairly steady at 12.1 here. Masses of food in the house still, will take stock later on what can go in the freezer, what can go to food bank. Pointless eating it all up for the sake of it.
So - any good recipes for leftover turkey?! We don't normally have one as half the family are vegetarian but we had a small one this year and still have half of it left. I'm not a massive fan of turkey myself.

Tryingtwo · 27/12/2019 10:06

Good morning all. Nice photos cricketmum84
Christmas morning weigh in 14st 0.4 lbs. This morning 14st 2.2lbs. Back on plan today - sounds simple but in reality the last 2 mince pies, chocolate robins,...... are calling loudly eat me, eat me now.

Upupandiwent · 27/12/2019 12:19

Can I join in, please? I've put on about 5lbs over Xmas and I'm the heaviest I've ever been! It's probably not the best time to start a diet but I can't afford to put on much more weight and need to rein it in.
My start weight 12 st 5
I'd like to be 10 st 5 . Not loads to lose but I'm not good at sticking to a diet and need moral support. I'm also over 50, and its become a bit more difficult to shift the weight. I need to do it for health reasons too, as I've a history of heart disease and diabetes in the family.
I just need to get rid of all the cheese and crackers!

Egghead68 · 27/12/2019 14:39

So not doing well. Had nachos, chocolates, crisps and wine.

Will try not to eat anything else today and will weigh in tomorrow morning (pre- lunch out).

bluepixie · 27/12/2019 18:16

Hey girls
Can I join? I’ve put on 5 lbs over this Xmas period and I’m starting on it tmrw. I did loose 7 over November and and now put on loads in the space of 7 days!!
I’m 11 stone 2 atm and need to shift minimum 7 pounds to feel ok
Hope everyone’s leftovers r gone!

cricketmum84 · 27/12/2019 18:35

Hello and welcome @Cream123 and @Upupandiwent

Well my plan failed a little. DH was meant to be making me a jackfruit chilli while I was at work but neither of us can be bothered so it's going to be a cold plate instead. I have been extra good over Christmas so I'm allowing a small indulgence. I've got a vegan no pork pie from Morrison's and some lovely pickled onions and beetroot and a little cheese and crackers.

Back to tracking properly tomorrow!
