Morning all! And welcome to the December edition of lose 7lbs!

A huge to welcome to the newbies, long term followers and contributors and the lurkers!

I would dearly love to lose 7lbs in December but accepting that I'm probably going to relax things a little, have some chocolate or some cheese, mulled wine and stollen.

I will still be following ww and 16:8 most days. I'm also going to try stay mostly vegan with the exception of local eggs which I think should help me stay on track!

Stats are:
Dec starting weight: 18.13
Dec target weigh: 18.7
Loss for November: 3lbs
Loss for 2019: 6stone 5lbs

Happy December to all and let's get our festive groove on!

Nice NSV @Ihatesundays.

Egghead68 · 24/12/2019 06:31

Morning. 65.6kg.
Plan: Fruit, nut roast sandwich then let the festivities begin!

lilgreen · 24/12/2019 07:19

Oops @cricketmum84 I see, hadn’t realised.Hope you enjoyed it.
Had friends over for a homemade chicken curry last night. Had a smallish portion with piece of naan. I made griddled pineapple with ice cream for pudding so that’s pretty healthy right? Well, not weighed yet but not sure I’m going to after several glasses of wineHmm. Anyway I’ll check back in after the big day. Happy Christmas everyone and enjoy a few days off-ish. Xmas Wink

Hi, it’s Christmas Eve evening here, the kids will go off to bed soon!

Congrats for everyone who is still feeling focused. Some nice updates to read. Mindfulness sounds great, sometimes I ask myself if I’m even hungry and if I’m unsure if I’m hungry or just wanting a snack I have a big drink of water and see if I can hold off for 20mins, also agree that if you say to yourself you can have anything you want can really help.

I’ve had barbecued sausage and veggies for dinner. Tomorrow we’ll have some barbecued steak or burgers, some griddled veggies.

I’ve been drinking lots of water.

I think tomorrow I’ll have snacks if I fancy them and then refocus the next day. I quite like sugar free hot chocolate, feels like a treat.

cricketmum84 · 24/12/2019 07:54

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!! It's here! And I am very excited!

Back down to 18.13 and need to stick at that until the 31st!

Busy morning ahead of finishing off wrapping, tidying and cleaning and then need to prepare my mushroom wellington and my ww recipe braised red cabbage. Then it's happy family chill time :)

I'm fasting until 1pm then will have something light like a salad with violife feta and olives.

Dinner is nibbly bits, chicken goujons for DH and kids and a nice cheeseboard :)

Great NSV @Ihatesundays

@lilgreen it was surprisingly delicious! Also I absolutely love griddled pineapple!

Have a great Christmas Eve everyone! And remember it's not what you eat between Christmas and new year that counts. It's what you eat between new year and Christmas!

❤️❤️❤️

@beforeIhit30 that makes a lot of sense to me. I am a stress starver but then realise after a day or so that I haven't eaten and am famished and inevitably reach for junk. In future I will do that and actually think what does my body need instead?

@DownUdderer hope you all have a lovely Christmas. As a Brit have you got used to BBQ for Christmas dinner yet?? I think I would struggle 😂

Hope the kids are excited and that the big man is good to you all Xmas Wink

Whew what a day yesterday! Lapland was AMAZING! We were lucky that it wasn't too cold (-3 - it had been -17 a few days earlier). Did husky rides, reindeer sleigh rides, visiting Santa of course, snowmobiling, ice hotel (the ice slide in there was so fun, I went down more times than the kids did 😂). We all would like to go back again for longer, it was a bit of a rush! Got back home just before midnight. Because my kids are a bit older, the Father Christmas stuff was less important but they loved the snow and the activities. Even my 12 yr old was impressed on the flight though when Santa and his reindeer 'landed' on the plane for a rest 😆
Restful day today prepping for tomorrow. You are so right with that saying @cricketmum84 - it's what you do day in and day out that makes a difference!
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone 🎅🏻

Omg Lapland sounds incredible @WoollyFoolly I am soooo jealous! How long was the flight?

Well I finally got my 1. I’m 71.9kg. Smallest weight loss I could have managed but I’m there at last!
Going to eat what I want tomorrow though....

WoollyFoolly · 24/12/2019 08:32

3 hours out, 3.5 hrs back! Seems incredibly short to reach the arctic circle in that time. We all got a certificate to say we'd crossed the arctic circle and the kids got reindeer driving licenses. 😁 Seeing if we can plan a long weekend there next year now, it was soo beautiful. Sun sets at around 12:30pm at this time of year though so it's very dark!

lilgreen · 24/12/2019 08:38

@WoollyFoolly that sounds like great fun. Special memories for sure.
Well, I did weigh and up half a pound so not too bad. Well done everyone! Couldn’t agree more that it’s ok to relax a bit but get back on after as that’s when we tend to slip back into old weighs, oops, ways.Xmas Wink

DownUdderer · 24/12/2019 08:41

Lapland sounds amazing! I miss being close to Europe, I’d love to pop over to France or Spain!

I’m not fussed about Christmas dinner. I know most people love it and love the side dishes etc but I can take it or leave it! It’s honestly so hot I can’t even think about putting on the oven. If I was going to eat a big roast dinner with side dishes I’d have it during our winter. Lots of people do Christmas in July.

7Worfs · 24/12/2019 09:43

Woolly lovely photo and update, this is now firmly on my to visit list!

Well done all who reported losses, even small ones count especially at this time.

Lunch today will be the broccoli and spinach soup as recommended by cricket.
Dinner will be something with prawns.
I’m eating smaller meals, so I can have mince pies or Yule log.

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you all have a lovely holiday break! Xmas Smile

Onesmallstep67 · 24/12/2019 10:27

Happy Christmas Eve Xmas Smile everyone. Hope you are all feeling festive and with the people that matter.
@WoollyFoolly, sounds like an incredible day and a wonderful memory created for you all. I've wanted to do the same trip since I was very young, maybe I will manage it soon.
This morning I am 15st 9lbs.
Have a wonderful day everyone Xmas Wink

Egghead68 · 24/12/2019 10:52

Oh wow @WoollyFoolly. It looks incredible!

cricketmum84 · 24/12/2019 15:50

Ooh the mushroom wellington filling is gorgeous!

beforeIhit30 · 24/12/2019 17:53

Wow @WoollyFoolly it looks so snowy! And never occurred to me it would be dark as early as that. I now want to go somewhere super snowy and have hot drinks in a cabin or somesuch Grin (disclaimer: I’ve never been anywhere super snowy so my image of how things are is based on tv and film!).

Tracking for only 3 days but think my suspicions have been confirmed that I was having too many milky/creamy drinks. Dropped 2lb in the last couple of days! Shock Obviously not actually as such, but reducing my milky drinks must be helping with bloating/retention or something.

lilgreen · 24/12/2019 18:08

B: 2 crumpets with 2tsp peanut butter
L: avocado on rye bread
D: parsnip soup with 2 pieces of melted cheese topped sourdough
Exhausted but happy.

DownUdderer · 25/12/2019 05:43

I haven't bought myself any Christmas snacks, I probably told myself I'd be good when I was at the supermarket! So today I haven't really indulged in anything spectacular! I'm fine with that, but maybe I'll pick up something reduced at the supermarket next time I'm there!

7Worfs · 25/12/2019 10:10

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Presents opening took place at 7am, baby got cards and presents from many neighbours. Xmas Smile

I’m doing 16:8 even today and eating a big meal and lots of treats.

B - well buttered toast, fruits
L - Christmas meal with far too many Yorkshire puddings
D - snacking - all the cheese, mince pies, Yule log and chocolates I can eat before 6pm

I hope you all have a lovely relaxing Christmas Day! Xmas Smile

Tryingtwo · 25/12/2019 10:12

Merry Christmas all. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

cricketmum84 · 25/12/2019 10:19

Merry Christmas everyone!!

I shouldn't do too badly today I hope! I didn't have the pastries for breakfast but I'm starting to get pretty hungry now!

Dinner is being served at my mums although she hasn't been well so me and my sister are doing most of the cooking. I'll be having some mushroom wellington with veggie gravy, honey and mustard roast parsnips and carrots and sprouts. First year without pigs in blankets! I'm going to be so tempted! No roasties either as they are being cooked in goose fat.

I imagine I'll be having some cheese and biscuits this evening and more than a few wines will be drunk!

Hope Santa was good to us all!
