Following on from the previous monthly loss threads, here’s Septembers. I’ve omitted goal specifics of a certain number of lbs because as we’ve seen we are losing at different rates.

The support I’ve seen on these threads (and personally benefitted from 🙏) is awesome. I’ve not once seen any unkind or harsh posts. You’ve all been awesome 👏.

Link to August’s Thread

I will continue to:-

  • follow a low carb Mediterranean diet as advocated by Dr Michael Mosley. It’s great for your heart health as well as keeping blood sugars in check.
  • Intermittent Fast IF
  • Calorie Count
  • Eat Mindfully and address emotional blocks as and when they arise.
  • Meal Planning
  • Use a tracker such as MFP.
  • Mantra is I’m not on a diet, nothing is banned, I do sustainable healthy eating.

How do you intend to lose/maintain?

Any tips you’d like to share?

Hope you're ok @sunshinecake

Closed my eating window at 6 1/2hrs which should give me a nice big stint of fast for tomorrow till noon.

Stay dry everyone! That's dedication @cheesenpickles

cheesenpickles · 23/09/2019 21:07

I still haven't got there yet! 800 away so traipsing round the block again before bed Grin it's the vitality points thing. Husband and I are super competitive with jr.

Knitclubchatter · 24/09/2019 01:50

i fell :(
screwed up my hand and ankle....
mediocre food choices will be near impossible to work off.

SunshineCake · 24/09/2019 05:52

Oh no Knitclubchatter Sad. How are you now? I also fell down a hole yesterday so huge empathy from me. My back was already messed up so my fall hasn't helped.

I'm up too early as can't sleep as ds goes to uni tomorrow but I'm 1.2lbs down since yesterday, have painted my nails and have written a message to put in ds' good luck card which spells out his first name using the first letter of each sentence.

Busy day. Walk dog early, then therapy, then quick shop to make a gap between therapy mode and parenting, home to feed dog and pick up DS then he is taking DH and I out for lunch. Have looked at the menu and not sure there is anything I can have. They do steak but I don't want DS spending a lot and ime it is hit and miss whether it is is nice or not.

Hope everyone else has a good day. I'm dreading tomorrow Sad.

MrsJonesAndMe · 24/09/2019 06:36

Oh no @knitclubchatter! Did you fall on the bike?

You are up early @sunshinecake. Hope it all goes OK for you.

I have a long day ahead and it's raining in bucket fulls too!

ChipsAreLife · 24/09/2019 06:52

Oh @Knitclubchatter hope you're ok? Try not to be too hard on yourself, these things happen sometimes But I know that doesn't make it any easier.

@SunshineCake could you maybe ask them to do you some grilled chicken and veg or a salad? Or possibly eat something before you go and just have a starter as a main? It's hard eating out sometimes.

Pouring down here too! I've not weighed this morning as had some coffees and forgot. Going to try do a 19 hr fast but am already hungry Hmm also going to try have two weeks with no drinking if I can!

SunshineCake · 24/09/2019 08:50

TMI coming up, sorry

After several trips to the loo, which has confused me as I'm not sure I've eaten anything I shouldn't unless it takes 2 ish days to come through but I'm now 2.3 lbs down. Yay!

Just got soaked on dang walk, poor dog was spooked when it suddenly came down heavier almost like hail. Out now to therapy. Will work it our re eating, thank you for the suggestion.

Have a good, dry, safe day everyone!

cheesenpickles · 24/09/2019 09:21

This weather is foulllllllll. Just did the school run and people were mounting the kerb and all sorts of nonsense due to the weather.

Oh no @Knitclubchatter! Hoping you a speedy recovery
Definitely agree with asking if they can do something simple for you @SunshineCake, especially with intolerances etc.

My weight has gone up again. Not by masses but I've eaten pretty well last couple of days and been quite active. Not sure what's up but just going to look at the overall picture and keep making good choices. Probably a delayed reaction from the weekend.

galvantula · 24/09/2019 11:01

Aw no knitclub and sunshine , hope you're on the mend soon.

Also TMI alert Blush Blush but I am now so constipated I am thinking I'll need a live updates thread when it finally resolves. Getting flashbacks to first post birth poos. Blush On day 3 of knocking back the Fybogel and trying to drink plenty and eat well.

(sorry about that but it's all i can think about just now Blush

I'm at working wishing I could just go home though Grin

Tia3251 · 24/09/2019 14:17

Hi girls can I please join u. I’m writing this as I’m stuffing my face with DD snacks (Milky Way and cheese dunkers). I’ve been really depressed recently so eating has been non stop! I’m starting my new job tomorrow so I am hoping to use this as a new start.

My plan tomorrow is 3 healthy meals, 2 snacks and definitely NO chocolate, crisps or cakes.

SunshineCake · 24/09/2019 15:13

Welcome Tia3251.. May I suggest you look at your snacks and eating your feelings. . My biggest changes have been no snacks, not eating my feelings and plenty of water. I am also eating three decent meals and no longer need snacks.

Just had a lovely vegetarian burger with guacamole, chips and onion rings. Didn't twig that it would come with a bread roll so just left that, decided I would risk the batter on the rings as I rarely have them and do like them then released after I had eaten three that I am intolerant to onion as well. Oops.

Just got back, dropped my iPad, stuck my foot out to stop it hitting the hard floor and now my foot is really hurting. Better have an impressive bruise Grin.

Tia3251 · 24/09/2019 16:19

Oh no sunshinecake! Hope your foot is better. I definitely eat my emotions. When I’m sad or bored I eat. I’m going to try your suggestion of water too. Thanks. I’m sorry I haven’t read all previous posts, I will do sometime this week so hello everyone else and hope you guys are well.

P.s. do we tell everyone our weight and target weight? I don’t mind giving these details - I currently weigh 11stones 5lb. My youngest is a Baby and nearly 1 year old and when I was pregnant with 2 weeks to go I weighed less - 10 stones 2lb! Blush. I haven’t stopped eating since baby was born!

Knitclubchatter · 24/09/2019 17:40

The other side is shiny and blue as well. The ankle just swollen and stiff with pain.
Walking with a friend, ankle rolled off the edge of the narrow sidewalk where a small trench had developed 2-3 inches max. But I was going down on my face and protected myself with my hand.
Up till today as per my Apple Watch I’ve had a perfect month and was on track to achieve my monthly challenge :(
So far okay breakfast and turned down a slice of pumpkin pie.

SunshineCake · 24/09/2019 17:46

Ouch, Knit Sad.

Tia3251 · 24/09/2019 17:54

Looks painful x

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 24/09/2019 20:45

Anyone else dying watching bake off?

Drowning in my own drool here!

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 24/09/2019 20:46

Ouch. That looks horrible. Hope you recover soon x

cheesenpickles · 24/09/2019 21:03

@awittyusernameishardtofind me. I stocked up with M&S keto snacks but craving sweets so badly Grin

ChipsAreLife · 24/09/2019 21:59

Ouch @Knitclubchatter you poor thing!!! Is it really sore still?

I'm lucky I don't like bake off 😆

I've had a good day and enjoyed some chocolate snack a jacks which really hit the spot! Had about 1100 cals and did burned 450 cals in my workout. Really motivated in the week and then the weekend comes and I'm crap ... rinse and repeat

SunshineCake · 24/09/2019 22:16

Need to go to sleep as ds is leaving for uni at 6.30 but feel I won't sleep. Been up since 5 already..

Knitclubchatter · 25/09/2019 03:15

i nibbled due to pain...cheese is the devil
but got my 10,000 steps in. limping along. not ready to give up my month of exercise.

SunshineCake · 25/09/2019 05:39

Well done, @Knitclubchatter. it all counts, definitely psychological if not in weight loss immediately .

Up early again as today is the today I say goodbye to my first born favourite child. Who has just got up and banged the wall as he does most mornings Grin and coughed as he has done for a few days now. Worried as his to ails are playing up and he was in hospital for a week with grade four tonsillitis and glandular fever last December.

BustedDreams · 25/09/2019 10:37

Sorry I’ve been missing in action. At the coast and we have been really busy. I’ve noticed @Knitclubchatter has had a fall. I hope you recover quickly and these are for you Flowers Unexpected falling is such a shock to the system.

I really will try to be around later. Sorry if I’ve let you down.

galvantula · 25/09/2019 10:42

Aw sunshine hope he and you get on ok today. Such a big day. Flowers

My biggest boy is only just 10, but then that seems to have flown past.

I'm not even going to post my weight. #Further TMI alert# Still backed up so I'm hoping for a big whoosh when the fybogel finally kicks in. BlushBlush

cheesenpickles · 25/09/2019 11:03

Well done for pushing through @Knitclubchatter but try not to push yourself too much. Thinking of you today @SunshineCake. Hope the coast isn't too rainy @BustedDreams and sending you pooh vibes @galvantula Grin(not to a pooh troll I promise!)

Just at the gym having a black coffee after a work out and feeling SO chuffed with myself. I ran! On a treadmill! Without stopping for 10 minutes! I've never ever ever done that and I could have kept going. Sounds super daft but being crap at sport growing up, smoking from a teenager and gaining weight etc I never thought I'd be confident enough to run on a treadmill but my reflection in the window was doing that swishy ponytail hair thing I've always wanted to look like.

Wright has settled back down to what it was so hoping for a bit of a drop soon. I'm still a 1lb down from last week so I guess my body is just slowing down now... to be expected and I'm a lot happier when I look in the mirror.

Anyway, going to go and relieve the husband from the smallest child so he can come and get a workout in too.
