Just doing a thread to keep me accountable. Anyone's welcome to join though. I'm combining slimfast and fast 800. I'd love to meet my goal for xmas but realistically 2lb a week would mean end Jan/beginning of Feb.
Starting weight 12st8.
Currently 12st, bmi 33.
Goal 8st7 (or anything bmi under 25 tbh).

Off the wagon yesterday with half a bottle of wine and a gut busting takeaway. Feel so gross today Sad drank my body weight in water because o feel so dehydrated. Red week next week so I don’t normally weigh. Hopefully by the week after everything will be back on track x

Ok i have taken the plunge and bought a 7 day starter set, mixture of shakes, porridge, bars etc. Will do lunch at school as my main meal. Starting Monday. Thanks for the encouragement.. I'll let you know how the week goes. If i can lose 10 pounds before xmas id feel a lot happier!

I'm starting Monday. I've got the Tesco version in chocolate and vanilla. Was thinking I could add coffee to the vanilla to get iced latte maybe. I've also got slim fast snack bars. I need to research 600 cal dinners, that seems like loads of calories but I'm guessing it won't be that much food 😕

That really varies person to person I guess. I lost a lot the first 2 weeks and then it’s been a steady 1-2 lbs a week.

Hi small, are you doing the 800 thing or the normal slimfast plan? It's about 5 weeks til Christmas so, if you manage to resist all the usual festive temptations, I reckon between 10lb - 1st. I'm hoping for another stone between now and Christmas and then that'll be me pretty much done (apart from re-losing the lbs I put on at Christmas day with the roast and all the trimmings).
Good luck, in 5 weeks you can totally smash it!

Hi everyone

I'm really considering starting slimfast. I have alot to loose! Have done slimming world before but just don't feel like it works for me anymore and need something a little more drastic to kickstart the weightloss.

Can anyone help with what the plan entails though?......
the website doesn't help much

When it says to have fruit/veg does it mean i could have a fruit salad etc or literally one piece of fruit?

Hi Smarty welcome! We're starting to get a little club now, I love it!

Slim the 800 thing is Michael Moseley's fast 800 plan. So basically you eat 800 cals a day. I borrowed the idea and merged it with the slimfast plan so I was having 800 cals a day, mostly slimfasts, rather than doing the slimfast plan properly which is 2 slimfasts a day plus a 600 cal meal (for about 1000 cals total, or 1200 cals if you add a couple of 100cal snacks a day). I just did that because I'm a lazy bastard who doesn't want to cook a meal, I'm not confident counting calories, and I fucking hate diets and want it over as fast as humanly possible, lol! Grin
Smarty, I think they mean one bit of fruit, but you can do it your way. Just say you make a 200cal fruit salad instead of having a 100 cal bit of fruit, you could have a 500 cal meal instead of a 600 cal one to offset those extra calories?

This morning I was 9st8.2. That's a 3st loss so far. The size 14s I got back into a month ago are now getting loose. So I went to primark to treat myself to a pair of size 12 jeans. It ruined my day tbh. When I see myself naked now at home I think "phwoooar, what a total sex goddess" haha, but in the primark changing room I looked awful, the shitty lighting magnifies every lump and bump. How dare they? I still bought the jeans though!

So just to cheer myself up and remind me what I'm doing this for, these are my stats:
From end July to now I have lost 3st in weight, 6 inches off my chest, 8 inches off my waist, 5 inches off my hips and 3 inches off each thigh. I've gone from a size 18ish to a 12. I've gone from BMI 34.5 (obese) to BMI 26 and in 7lb's time I'll be in the healthy category.

I might start doing a bit of exercise again. I did start but it's hard when you're heavy. I'll give it another go I think, see if I can give my weight loss an extra boost.

I need a major boost in the weightloss department and the more i read about it (good & bad) i really think it will help.
I know i'm not going to love the shakes but needs must!!

@ISmellBabies wow! You've done amazing in such a short time! I'm currently 14.6 and really need to get to 10.7 to be happy. I've tried slimming world and WW but it's too easy to cheat. I think I'll find it easier to have no options but slim fast products and fruit. I'm making the most of today and having a massive roast for dinner, might even make a cake for dessert and finish the last of my fatty days off with glass or two later. Wink.

Don't think I could cope with only 800 cals a day! Maybe my stomach will shrink a bit with the shakes and make it a bit easier to feel full 🤷🏼‍♀️

So far I have been having 2 shakes and using mfp to try and stick to 1200 cals but I will reassess this I think and try and go lower. My meal usually doesn't consist of carbs.

Been a bit off track this weekend as been out and about and busy but ready to get back to it tomorrow morning!

Weigh day, 9st7 this morning.
One of the mums told me how well I'd done today. Dh says he's joining me now and aims to lose a stone by Christmas too. He's such a jammy bugger losing weight though, he just sheds lbs and lbs every day really easily, his only problem is when he falls off the wagon he gives up instead of shrugging it off and carrying on. So he's always losing the same stone/half stone. But this time I'm inspiring him apparently so we're having a race now!

Right well i started today, at 12st 9. Fine so far, had a proper meal at school so 'dinner' is shake and maybe the porridge i was due to have midmorning!

I'm 89kg and feeling so low, need to lose a stone somehow....

Well done. The starter pack came with a day by day plan so i tick things off as i have them but i just shift things around so the meals work best.. Like snack bar instead of porridge mid morning.

Oo mind if I join? I’m not doing the 800 bit but started slimfast last week. Currently having a shake for breakfast and a bar for lunch plus a 500 kcal dinner. Tbh I’m amazed I’m sticking to it. I have a lot to lose so was thinking that slimfast takes all of the obsessing about food away. And once I’m used to less food I can switch back to proper food.
