Slimfast / Fast 800

ISmellBabies · 06/08/2019 11:03

Just doing a thread to keep me accountable. Anyone's welcome to join though. I'm combining slimfast and fast 800. I'd love to meet my goal for xmas but realistically 2lb a week would mean end Jan/beginning of Feb.
Starting weight 12st8.
Currently 12st, bmi 33.
Goal 8st7 (or anything bmi under 25 tbh).

Thanks. I was really shocked. I’ve stuck strictly to the 3:2:1 program but wasn’t expecting that!
I highly doubt it was all fat but definitely a great start. I’ve a long way to go though. Hoping to be back to my old self by Feb.

ISmellBabies · 13/09/2019 16:30

The weight seems to be sticking a bit this week, come on you bastard pounds, get off! I feel much better when I run/jog now. Before, my big bum would kind of bounce/drop half a second after the rest of me. Now my bum moves pretty much along with the rest of my body. I don't think you can understand that (or appreciate the relief that it's better now) until you've experienced it yourself! I've got some size 14 clothes on from the back of the wardrobe today and I feel great about that. Hopefully the scales will move by Monday.

Is it just me, or does anyone else's bum run behind them?!

Changednamealready · 13/09/2019 16:57

Has anyone tried the lighterlife shakes are they better than the slimfast?

ISmellBabies · 13/09/2019 21:51

No, I tried the tesco own version a few years ago and that was gross. I'm fussy though.

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 14/09/2019 07:24

@Changednamealready not tried them sorry. I quite like the SlimFast ones though. Saw a cookies and cream one the other day. Need to check that out lol

@ISmellBabies I’m sure it’s just muscles building up if you’re running. Muscle weighs more than fat so that could account for it. You’re doing so well. Not had the bum problem but having larger boobies I get the bounce at the front. If I don’t have a decent bra on I’m in danger of knocking myself out Grin

ISmellBabies · 14/09/2019 07:37

Haha!
Could be muscle I suppose, or also period is on its way I think so could be that. I'll just keep going and let the scales catch up whenever.
The cookies and cream slimfast is amazing, you have to try it. It's too sweet to have all the time though, it's just like having a dessert, it's really yummy.

It's not officially weigh day until tomorrow, but so far this week I have lost no weight at all!! I decided to have a day off the diet today, not to go mad but just to indulge my pms with a bit of chocolate. I hope everyone else had a better week?

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 15/09/2019 17:34

You’re doing great so don’t stress about treating yourself for one day or that the scales are being mean. Just keep plugging away. I weigh on Tuesday. Not convinced there’s much of a change for me this week following my big burst at the start x

user1468234673 · 16/09/2019 09:18

I love the LighterLife shakes, best I've tried @Changednamealready if I'm doing a meal replacemement diet plan I want the tastiest options out there haha x

Changednamealready · 16/09/2019 23:40

Ah thanks user I was trying to find a tasty one- one that whips up to become a tasty milkshake... not lumpy water ... or to taste ewwwww.

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 17/09/2019 07:36

1lb this week. It’s definitely slowed down lol.

ISmellBabies · 21/09/2019 22:08

So I lost no weight last week. I have lost 1lb so far this week. 11st now. Am hoping to break through the 11st mark soon, maybe tomorrow, then it'll be a 2lb week which is good.
I'm really, really bored of being on a diet now. I'm thinking about changing it up a bit and doing 500 cals every other day and 1000 every other day. I might start phasing out the shakes too, I fancy some actual food. 2lb until I'm not obese anymore. About 2st until I'm not overweight. Ugh. I feel a bit like giving up. People have been noticing and saying nice things. I saw myself at an unflattering angle in a mirror today though, that was a downer. I think I'm just pissed off how slowly it's going vs how hard I'm trying.

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 22/09/2019 07:05

It is frustrating when things seem to stall but please don’t give up. You’re doing so well and others are starting to notice.
Have you looked at the SlimFast website? There are some good ideas for mixing things up thee x

ISmellBabies · 22/09/2019 10:46

Thanks wittyusername I'll have a look. I broke the 11st barrier this morning, I'm 10st13.4 fucking wooohoo!! That really gives me a boost to keep going tbh.

OP posts:
Awittyusernameishardtofind · 22/09/2019 13:57

That’s brilliant. Well done! Your hard work is paying off x

thismeansnothing · 22/09/2019 22:12

Hiya.

I'm goin to give slimfast a go for the next couple of weeks. Since middle of may I've been doing WW and lost 20lb. Switched to maintenance for the summer holidays which I achieved which was good. But can't seem to get back on it and have pretty much pressed self destruct. I need to nip it in the bud and not quite sure how.

So bought a tub of slimfast in a bid to press 'reset'. It'll be good not to have to worry about anything but an evening meal. And I have enough WW ones in my arsenal to keep them healthy.

ISmellBabies · 22/09/2019 22:16

Great plan thismeansnothing, good luck.

ISmellBabies · 23/09/2019 08:04

I lost another pound today. I'm 10st12 and I AM NOT OBESE ANYMORE!!! Wow that feels good!

OP posts:
thismeansnothing · 23/09/2019 08:42

Thanks. I've got the banana flavour as it was a bit of a last minute decision and was the only tub available in Tesco yday as they were all on offer. It's quite nice just a bit gloopy. So was wondering if anyone has made them with just water and them being palatable? Got a pack of the snack bars (how expensive?!) So it feels like I'm having a treat. Otherwise today's other snacks are an apple and some carrot and celery sticks.

thismeansnothing · 23/09/2019 08:43

Ah that's brilliant ismellbabies. So motivating moving down into the next BMI category

ISmellBabies · 23/09/2019 09:09

Oh the banana one is quite nice. I'm not sure they'd be good with water, some shakes like exante and the fast 800 ones are made to make up with water but slimfast is supposed to be skimmed milk. Why not mix part milk part water and see what balance of water/milk is still nice.

OP posts:
thismeansnothing · 23/09/2019 12:40

Yerr I'll give that a go. I really liked that it's that overlly artificial banana like the foam sweets 🤣

ISmellBabies · 23/09/2019 12:56

Mmmmmm foam sweets! Haha!

OP posts:
Awittyusernameishardtofind · 23/09/2019 14:20
