Slimfast / Fast 800

ISmellBabies · 06/08/2019 11:03

Just doing a thread to keep me accountable. Anyone's welcome to join though. I'm combining slimfast and fast 800. I'd love to meet my goal for xmas but realistically 2lb a week would mean end Jan/beginning of Feb.
Starting weight 12st8.
Currently 12st, bmi 33.
Goal 8st7 (or anything bmi under 25 tbh).

😂 wagons roll!

ISmellBabies · 28/10/2019 11:38

10st1.8 so I put on 1lb this week. It's not going well all of a sudden tbh. I think I've just lost momentum now I'm not so fat and it doesn't seem like an emergency any more. Plus it's half term and the house is full of delicious snacks and chocolate. Dh is cooking something amazing that smells like I'm about to gain 5 stone! I must get a grip!

It’s not a problem. You’ve been on this for a long time. A slip up isn’t the end of the world x

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 29/10/2019 05:39

Weigh in. 11st 9.8.

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 05/11/2019 09:05

Weigh in 11:8

How’s everyone doing? Gone a bit quiet. Hope you’re all ok x

tiajon · 05/11/2019 13:32

Hi, all!

I desperately need to lose about 3lbs a week between now and Xmas, and going to buy slimfast (shakes only) to start today.

The main bit I'm worried about is giving up my evening wine/gin 😅 but I need to do this.

How much weight have you all been losing with shakes?

Thank you.

AnuvvaMuvva · 05/11/2019 13:46

Hello! I've not seen this thread before do apologies gif just bathing in now. I was wondering if any of you SlimFastrrs have tried Almased? I just saw an ad for it in Good Housekeeping (yes, I'm 👵🏻) and it looks like it's a meal-replacement shake.

Anyone here tried it? It's probably spendy so I'm not buying it until I know it tastes nice!

AnuvvaMuvva · 05/11/2019 13:48

ARGH! And again, without typos!

Hello! I fell off the wagon and the day after last weigh day it caught up with me and I put on 2lb more, so I've spent all week losing 3lb that I'd already lost.
Back down to 10st0.2 this morning.
I've never heard of Almased. I'm stocked up with about a month's supply of ready made cafe latte slimfast and I love it so not particularly tempted to try anything else tbh.
Tiajon I've been losing around 3lb a week pretty consistently as long as I stick to it. 2 and a half stone so far. I'd like another stone and a half off by xmas ideally to get me half a stone into the healthy weight category.

So, day 1!

I've just RTFT and loving your posts and the amazing weightloss, @ISmellBabies. It's inspired me.

I think I'll do the 500/1000 too and see how that goes, as I need a quick loss.

Just had my first cafe latte. Also bought some of the Asda own brand ones in chocolate and strawberry (exactly the same content but prob taste like shit. But cheaper!).

Let's do this 🤦🏻‍♀️

ISmellBabies · 06/11/2019 14:29

Thanks Tiajon, yay! It's fab you're feeling motivated. Please report back on the asda shakes.
I just about squeezed into the next stone category this morning 9st13.8. That's massive motivation for me, to see a 9 at the start, wow!

Hi @ismellbabies. Glad you’re ok. Don’t worry about a bad week when you’ve had so many good ones. 2 and a half is incredible!

Good luck on your journey @tiajon. Looking forward to seeing the weight drop for you to x

ISmellBabies · 11/11/2019 16:04

I would love to do what you've done.. I've e similar stats to you. Do you not find you get lots of comments though aboutbit nit being sustainable and it will all go back on?

ISmellBabies · 13/11/2019 07:40

I have had "you're supposed to lose it as slowly as possible" to which I say arse, I want the diet bit over with ASAP. I can worry about sustainable lifestyle changes when I'm slim! If someone was rude enough to say "it'll all go back on" I'd tell them to fuck off tbh!
You can do it HugeAckmansWife, don't worry about naysayers, just go for it and keep going for it!

OP posts:
Awittyusernameishardtofind · 13/11/2019 07:53

1-2 lbs is a sensible and sustainable amount. No you’re not meant to be on this for ever and ever but it gives you all the nutrients you need and I’ve found it a good way to drop my weight. Eventually I’ll gradually drop my meal replacements for real food but I know how many calories I should have roughly per meal now. And once the weight is off I’m hoping that I will be able to sustain it easier x

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 13/11/2019 08:24

And to be honest the only people who know what I’m doing are my partner and my mum. People don’t need to know you’re on a diet.

HugeAckmansWife · 14/11/2019 07:31

Thanks for the encouragement. Its tricky as lunch is at work (school) and we have v v good food available, for free so peiple do notice but I suppose i could do that and have a shake for dinner. Part of it is admittung thatbi do need to do something quite drastic and im not just fine as i am

ISmellBabies · 14/11/2019 14:00

Ooh free school dinners, yum! I love that type of food tbh, I could live off chips and beans. If I was you I'd have a slimfast for breakfast and dinner and then only eat at school lunch, and try not to go mad, even though it's delish and you're starving!

Everyone at work today said how well I've done, the difference is huge. I was 9st9.6 this morning so 1lb short of a 3st loss. I was really hoping to be slim by xmas and I'm going to do it! Am fighting the urge to snack every day. Must keep xmas treats out of the house as long as possible.

HugeAckmansWife · 14/11/2019 18:11

Thats brilliant. Well done. Where do yiu find does the best deals on the powder? Our school foid is actually really good (private school) so fresh soups and home made bread, exciting salads, decent curries, stews, jacket potatoes eyc.

ISmellBabies · 14/11/2019 20:22

I just get the ready made stuff from Amazon.
