Slimfast / Fast 800

Just doing a thread to keep me accountable. Anyone's welcome to join though. I'm combining slimfast and fast 800. I'd love to meet my goal for xmas but realistically 2lb a week would mean end Jan/beginning of Feb.
Starting weight 12st8.
Currently 12st, bmi 33.
Goal 8st7 (or anything bmi under 25 tbh).

11st7 now. I'm a machine! Drinking just water has really helped my skin (and it so needed help). My tummy still sticks out, but only enough to mirror the curve of my back iyswim, whereas before it stuck out as much as my (huge) boobs! Now it's much less. I hope too rediscover my core at some point, and my thighs still touch, I hope that goes with the next stone or so.

Hi, I lost a st 5 wks ago using Diet Now shakes. Stopped for a couple of weeks whilst I was off work with the kids and started Cambridge Diet on Tuesday so day 3 and it’s going well just thought it would be nice for some extra support hope it’s ok I join?

ISmellBabies · 22/08/2019 18:52

Hi Huffy, yes, lovely to have you and your shakespertise! How much more do you want to lose? I've been going pretty solidly so far. I'm having my first day off this weekend for a celebration. I'm not going to go mad and put the whole stone back on (I bloody hope!) just going to have a couple of drinks and nibbles.

MrsHuffyPuff · 22/08/2019 19:29

And a little night off is ok will save you feeling like you are missing out.
I have loads to loose about another 4st but that doesn’t get a healthy bmi need 6 off for that but last time I was happy with my weight would be 4st off. Shock

ISmellBabies · 26/08/2019 10:24

Weigh in: 11st 6.2 so I lost 2lb this week. I didn't go too mad on my night off so not too much damage there!

Well done, you're doing really well!

ISmellBabies · 29/08/2019 18:34

Thanks Gemi!
11st5 now so 1st 3lb lost overall. I'm still obese for the next half a stone. I wore a dress today that I couldn't get into before so I'm happy about that. It'll be too big once I've finished! I'm really feeling the slog now tbh. I fancy some chocolate, or just pigging out in general. I treated myself to some grapes as well as my slimfasts today, lucky me, lol! I'll keep going because I have to, I don't want to be fat anymore so I'm just going to stay on the 800 until I'm slim again, but I'm in a right mood! I don't know how to fix being in a mood without snacking. Or buying something, and I haven't got any money either! Argh. Must. Cheer. Up.

OP posts:
Gemi33 · 30/08/2019 10:49

That's great about the dress - I have so many clothes I'd love to get into again! You're doing really well- I'm still struggling to get started. Still feel really queasy even at the thought of the shakes but really struggle to fit in meal prep or anything complicated so I need something really easy if I'm going to be able to stick with it.

xx

ISmellBabies · 30/08/2019 13:10

Thanks! If you can't stand the thought of it now you definitely need a new plan, something nicer that you can keep going on. I think slimfast do meal bars, if that appeals a bit more - I might try some myself actually - mmmm solid food, haha! Or do you like soup? Cuppa soup or tinned soup could work.

OP posts:
ISmellBabies · 30/08/2019 21:42

Well I swapped a slimfast for a galaxy bar. It was fucking awesome. I feel like I can keep going for a few more weeks/months now!

11st4.4 yesterday so another 2lb weekly loss, although it went back up to 11.5.0 this morning but I'm taking yesterday's numbers because that makes me feel better, haha.

Well done on your weight loss. I’ve only just started. Be a week tomorrow but not going to weigh tomorrow as Aunt Flo is going to visit.
I’ve bought the 7day kickstart boxes from amazon. They’re great they have shakes, meal bars and snacks to last a week so if you’re following 3:2:1 you only need to worry about a piece of fruit and an evening meal of under 600 calories.
Handy for me as the worst part of dieting can be faffing around and wondering what to eat.

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 02/09/2019 12:36

Gemi I’m at a similar starting weight to you. Try the bars if the shakes are making you queasy. We can do this x

ISmellBabies · 02/09/2019 20:59

Good luck wittyusername, what are your stats and your goal?
the worst part of dieting can be faffing around and wondering what to eat. I so agree with this!
I'm feeling really really great. It's back to school this week. Last term I was 12st 8, and now after the summer hols I'm 11st 4, so 1st 4lb lighter. That's bloody fab and I'm really pleased with myself!

OP posts:
Awittyusernameishardtofind · 03/09/2019 06:30

I was 13.7 last Tuesday. I’m hoping to get down to 10st by feb and then see how I feel about the other st. I was 9st until a few years ago but don’t know if that’s achievable anymore lol

ISmellBabies · 03/09/2019 11:22

Good news: I lost another pound 11st 3.8.
Bad news: I totally re-started my diet coke addiction, oops. Oh well, that's a battle for another day!

OP posts:
Awittyusernameishardtofind · 03/09/2019 14:05

Well done on continuing to drop the lbs. I gave up Diet Coke back on may. It was soo hard as like you I was a bit addicted. It’s especially hard when eating out as most places don’t have many diet drinks on offer. I’ve tried substituting with a fizzy water and it’s working so far x

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 04/09/2019 18:08

Where are people getting their dinner inspiration from? Looking for ideas x

ISmellBabies · 09/09/2019 08:05

11st1 today so I lost 3lb this week, yay! Only a couple of pounds to go to get out of the obese category. I've lost 1.5st in total now and I feel so much better. I look better too, still a bit tubby but much less than before. My double chin is fast disappearing. It's been really worthwhile, I'm so glad I got on with it when I did, hopefully I'll be done by xmas.

OP posts:
Gemi33 · 09/09/2019 10:40

You've done so well, well done! I feel like such a failure, I don't know what's the matter with me. I think the fact I have so much to lose just makes me feel like I'll never do it. I'd love to think by Christmas I could be much happier with my weight but realistically I would still have so much to lose, it feels like such a massive mountain to climb.

xx

Awittyusernameishardtofind · 09/09/2019 18:24

It does feel overwhelming at times doesn’t it? I feel so far away from the person that I want to be. But as long as we keep going Gem we’re not failing.

First weigh in tomorrow. Didn’t do it last week due to auntie flo. Fingers crossed x

ISmellBabies · 09/09/2019 18:50

Thanks Gemi, I know what you mean, it really does seem like such a mountain sometimes, I have such mood swings about it. I'm so pleased with how much I've lost and how strictly I've stuck to it, but then sometimes I'll see an unflattering angle in a mirror or photo and think fucking hell, I'm still fat!! But there's nothing I can do about it except keep going, so that's what I do.

OP posts:
ISmellBabies · 09/09/2019 18:52

Good luck for tomorrow wittyusername! I'm excited to find out how you've done.

OP posts:
Awittyusernameishardtofind · 10/09/2019 07:38

Wow. So I must have been retaining a lot of water when I first weighed myself.
I’ve lost 11lbs in two weeks?! Down to 12st 10. I fully expect the numbers to start slowing now but even if it takes me the next two weeks to lose that 3lbs that will still be 1st in a month which is more than I could have hoped for. Fingers crossed and good luck to you all. Especially gemi. Don’t give up! X

ISmellBabies · 10/09/2019 22:08

Bloody hell that's amazing!! Well done!
