0.6lb down. Weight with the same pjs on as yesterday so although I don't know what my exact weight is the weight loss should be accurate. I have a horribly sore throat.

Not2bObvious · 20/10/2019 08:47

That’s great wreck, you poor thing though. Sore throats are the pits. No weigh in for me today, only in at 3am but awake at 7.30am, grrrr. Not feeling too bad but I’ve drank tea & water so the scales isn’t happening. My graph is like a rollercoaster happier, I love the thought of being x weight by x date but looking at my data shows I’m a disaster! I saw something about not setting a monthly weigh-loss target but rather set a target to be consistent for most of the month. By doing that I guess losses would follow.

Hi all.
I'm in a bit of shock, I've been at home since Tuesday recovering, not even done more than 3000 steps and my weight today is 77.2kgs.
I'm happy, but I don't get it.

wreck hope you feel better soon

WreckTangled · 20/10/2019 13:53

Well that's good curvy! Hope you're recovering well still.

I had a low carb bagel for lunch with bacon and smoked cheese. So good.

I'm going to try and make tuna cakes for dinner.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 20/10/2019 14:03

Yeah I know wreck, considering I was 78kgs last week, maybe it was the weight of the cyst, lol!
Yes I'm doing ok, drinking lots of fluids and eating ok, thank you x

Not2bObvious · 20/10/2019 20:50

That’s a nice drop curvy, clearly you’ve been doing the right things hydration/calorie’wise. Goes to show sometimes how little activity does. If I exercise too much I eat too much, struggle to find the balance. What a foodie/drinkie weekend, looking forward to getting back to routine for a few days before I go away. Stomach is grumbling/rumbling despite eating a lot today. Off to bed, looking forward to a decent sleep

Didn't track yesterday and was going on until pudding. Hey ho.
Can to it properly today.

Great going curvy. Whatever you are doing is working. Did they tell you the weight/size of the cyst?.
Don't have to reply.

WreckTangled · 21/10/2019 06:52

Eugh. Weight up again. I have a cold though so maybe that's why? I feel out of breath just going up the stairs.

Not2bObvious · 21/10/2019 08:02

Up a lot today which isn’t surprising due to the volume & type of foods I ate over the weekend. I didn’t track properly, but I know I went over a lot. Can’t do anything about it now so it is what it is. Funny when you’re doing it you can accept it, but today I’m miffed that I could be so greedy. Back on track today.
Sorry you’re poorly wreck, yes absolutely illness can definitely affect the scales, nothing to worry about. Eat to nurture for now, focus on feeling better

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 21/10/2019 08:18

I guess so not, I've definitely drank loads more liquid than I normally do, but I guess that was because my throat was really sore for the first couple of days.
I have been eating pretty well, lots of veg really, soup and simple food, nothing spicy.

Life it was 8cm, don't know what it weighed though.

Not2bObvious · 21/10/2019 15:25

Gosh that sounds like a sizeable cyst, not that I know a lot about them but if it was on the outside of your body you’d notice it.
I have been feeling full of Monday blues. Did a big walk before collecting the child & that’s lifted my mood a bit but it was a struggle. Eating dinner on the run tonight as have more collecting/dropping off to do. Do not like Mondays at all, far too much running around. At least I’ll have a break from it next week

Yeah I guess so not. It was on my left ovary, but they managed to remove it all and everything looks fine, so that is good.
Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit down, hopefully tomorrow will be betterFlowers

So, I had my NHS health check today as I was 40 this year. The nurse was lovely and my blood pressure, sugar levels and oxygen levels are all fine.
I've lost 9kgs since last year, so she said that was good, reminded me to keep at it.
My waist measurement is in the 'at risk' group of having heart disease, she then asked questions about my diet, lifestyle and stuff and my risk is 1.6 of having a heart problem as I get older.
She then said that if I continue to lose weight and take up either cycling or swimming, my weight should continue to drop, as long as my diet is healthy.
My blood was taken as well.
So not to bad, I guess?

Then dd2 and ex met me and we went for brunch, I had a lovely beetroot and chickpea salad, they had a full English each.
Did just over 10000 steps, but feel pretty tired now.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/10/2019 19:10

You are doing great girlie and will soon be more lb and inches down.

Did fbw and 15k steps. 1749 calories. Not doing very well sticking to 1600.
Travel tomorrow so guestmate lunch and dinner. Will need to get off the tube early to get steps in as someone is picking me up as don't know the way to the station

Not2bObvious · 21/10/2019 20:08

Thanks curvy, just back from the cinema with my littler girl & mood much improved. Probably just the come down after a full on few days. That’s really positive feedback from the nurse & wow that’s a great loss, over 10% yes? Sounds like you did a lot today but all sounds really nice, not surprising you’re tired.
I think 1600 is pretty tough life and you’re active, better to allow a bit more maybe?

Sloping in to own up to a 1.3lbs gain

Happierwithouthim · 22/10/2019 07:16

Down 1.5lbs on yesterday's post weekend bloat (162.2-160.7)
Food was spot on calorie wise yesterday & hit fibre but not protein.
Today's a better day, good food shop done Grin

WreckTangled · 22/10/2019 07:28

Down a bit which is good

Not2bObvious · 22/10/2019 07:53

I’m down 1.6 today but consisting I had been up 3.6 on Fridays weight, I’ve a ways to go. Good work happier & wreck, nice to see a Tuesday start good

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 22/10/2019 12:25

Well done to all of you this morning!

Life, thanks, I really want to be able to keep losing the weight, I know that may take time, but that's ok. Need to tone up my bingo wings too!

Not, yes about 10% I think, I guess it could be better, but I'm really happy that I've managed to keep the weight off.
I think we always beat ourselves up about not being good enough, so I'm going to take this win and be proud of myself!
Cycling will be easy to take up, I have a bike, so could easily fit that in, just need to be disciplined with myself.
I can't swim so that is a no.

Happierwithouthim · 22/10/2019 13:16

Not I was up 3lbs from thurs to sun so no great boast here to be down 1.5lbs but it's also my week off the pill so I should see another drop too hopefully.

Curvy that's a great achievement & you can do this.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 22/10/2019 13:29

Aww, thanks happier.
In a few weeks I should be able to start doing some more intensive exercises. The nurse was really lovely and gave lots of advice and wasn't judgemental at all. Made me feel good!

Not2bObvious · 22/10/2019 13:46

I always remember there being some big health advantage to losing 10% of your weight curvy, so well done you! You’re so right, we are too hard on ourselves, and we all deserve a good pat on the back. There’s a fair gang of us hanging in there and working on it, go us😉
