Reduced risk of type 2 diabetes is the one that I remember not from when I attended ww years & years ago

WreckTangled · 23/10/2019 06:48

I'm just 1lb up on my lowest now. I'm really pleased because it had really started creeping up again.

Not2bObvious · 23/10/2019 10:08

Completely dodged the scales this morning after an incident last night, a snack’cident if you willBlush

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/10/2019 06:25

Ah snack'cidents happen.
I went over by Apple crumble yesterday.
Up today but will be salt as had bacon and gammon yesterday

WreckTangled · 24/10/2019 06:51

I'm back to my lowest. Probably dehydration due to all the snot I'm producing Blush

Not2bObvious · 24/10/2019 07:40

Weighed in this morning & nearly needed talking down from the ledge! 2.8 up on last Friday, gulp. Very bunged up this week & definitely over eating on salty/sugary/carby food. I think I’m going to move onto maintenance cals now in advance of the holidays on Saturday as I can’t make much change before I go and extreme measures will result in binge/guilt

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 24/10/2019 08:21

Lots of water and fibre not. Then maintenance cals. Get the salt and stuff moving before holidays. Back on it after

Not2bObvious · 24/10/2019 11:30

Yeah thanks life, I have to admit my diets been lacking but saying that my body only responds to extreme measures, extremely sluggish bowel that doesn’t respond well to any mix of fibre bar make me a hazardous zone😫

I've not been a good girl this week either, I'm tired and reaching for crap in the evenings, it's my week off pill and it's playing havoc!

Breakfast/lunch/dinner fine, then I get lost in chocolate/whatever's there. I think it's making me more tired.

Yesterday I had two small sourdough malted rolls and chicken thigh burger from aldi for dinner plus a 200g choceur fruit & nut bar yes an entire bar Shock

Scales sts last two days so I'm +0.4lbs on last week's average.

Sore throat, heavy head, glad I had a later start at work this morning and early finish.

Not2bObvious · 24/10/2019 12:36

I was watching Elaine happier (Irish Loose women, not as Loose!) and there was a Doctor on from family planning saying we shouldn’t take a 7 day break - no break or 4 days at most. Worth looking into, delighted me as I was due them this week if I’d took my break but after hearing that I’m going straight through. I didn’t catch the whole segment but it was linked to pull failure, and that the hormone levels in modern pills are much less than the original formula so the break could be part if the fails. Add that into not wanting to have totm away, the thoughts of a baby at 40’ish, vom

Not2bObvious · 24/10/2019 12:37

Pill failure not pull failure - that’s a bad typo for this subject!

Happierwithouthim · 24/10/2019 12:57

I did wonder Grin

I don't get a bleed really, like literally need no san pro for last 6 years so my first priority for pill has always been preventing osteoporosis(sp?) but now I'm using it for contraception too.

Not2bObvious · 24/10/2019 17:27

ahh well I get bad enough cramps, 4-5 days bleed and horrible cravings so I don’t like the break so it’s a win win for me. Must be my type of pill, maybe yours is stronger so the hormone isn’t reducing enough to be a problem

WreckTangled · 24/10/2019 20:19

Just weighed and I'm only 0.2lb more than what I was this morning. Should be ill more often. Kidding I feel more ill than I have in a long time and it's only a cold 😭 just having a little pity party Grin

Happierwithouthim · 24/10/2019 20:28

Not i had two post partum haemorrhages after having ds & then a d & c to resolve the later one & my periods never came back after.

Not2bObvious · 24/10/2019 21:14

Wow that’s mad happier, I have mild endometriosis (although mild doesn’t feel bloody mild!) and that’s my primary reason for being on the pill. I wonder if those procedures sorted out the womb lining, kinda like an ablation? It’s it great craic being a woman😂

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 24/10/2019 21:18

I’m sure I spelled ablation wrong? Only something I’ve ever heard of on Mumsnet, feel like it’s not offered in Ireland for some reason

Happier, that must of been so scary!
Not, so sorry to hear you have endometriosis, my friend had that and I was with her at times when she passed out due to the pain.
Do you have regular laparoscopy's?

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/10/2019 23:42

Sorry not, you don't have to answer Flowers

No you’re grand curvier, thankfully I wasn’t as bad as that although sometimes going to the loo was so painful I’d be in tears and feel faint. Part of my bowel issues are likely linked to the endo, fear of pain passing bowel movements at totm and I can even get small bleeds outside of the that with bm. I had a laparoscopy a few years ago, was very unwell after it - didn’t react well with the GA, probably very standard but I was horrifically upset after it. It took me nearly 3 weeks to recover from, despite having 2 kids I’d never had a stitch in my life so the couple of incisions and also a part of excess tissue they removed - I found it really painful. Then I had a bad reaction to the painkillers the doctor gave me, hallucinations & itching. Anyway, the gynae wanted to put me into temp fake meno via a course of injections, then put a coil in again under GA. I never went back to him, went back on the pill & I’m managing just fine. My gynae was also my obstetrician and lets just say he was €€€€ x lots, so I felt the choices made were driven by that. My health insurance covered private hosp and he made quite a bit doing it like this. So long story long haha!

Not hospital investigation said no but they were done by same team that did the surgery HmmHmm because my family is complete they didn't run further tests but will if I ever decide I want more children.
Endometriosis is very painful I believe.
