Lose 7lbs in July

BustedDreams · 29/06/2019 07:41

Anyone else want to? I’d love some company.

I’ve been yoyoing the same 7lb for a while. I’d like it gone for good and then some.

I base my food intake around low carb, moderate fat & moderate protein. Think Mediterranean diet. I do watch my calorie intake too. I have the occasional tipple of alcohol. I generally don’t have processed foods and make meals from scratch. Although sometimes life gets in the way and needs must.

How do you intend to lose?

Any tips you’d like to share?

My tips are drink plenty of water and be mindful of portion sizes.

Welcome @Sharpkat. I hope I haven’t missed anyone!

Feeling good and all prepped for the coming days.

Weighed in at 145lbs this morning. We can do this! Just imagine how good we’ll feel when all our clothes get that little bit looser 👙

Good Amor ... I wish. Good morning!

I’m trying this recipe tomorrow and having it with cauliflower rice. It’s courtesy of Dr Michael Moseley.

I'd like to join as well. Would love a stone off for August but probably being unrealistic

BustedDreams · 01/07/2019 06:52

Welcome @higherforce Do you have a lot to lose? It’s easier to lose more if we have more to lose iyswim. Whatever your loses every bit counts. Are you going on holiday in August?

Happy 1 July!

Starting with 159lbs so 152lbs by 1 August would be great. It’s my dd’s birthday mid month so I’ve that to negotiate but shouldn’t be a problem!

Good luck everyone

pookypup · 01/07/2019 07:12

Morning all, hoping to join you lovely ladies for pre-holiday weight loss, but it’s the final 3kg I need to drop to teach my target of 68. Started at 75 and currently 71 at weigh in this morning.

Much respect Star to those who have worked hard to change lifestyles and shifted a lot of weight - hoping for inspiration!

Sharpkat · 01/07/2019 07:18

Morning all. I am starting July off at 78kg. Would love to get to 75kg this month is I can.

Need to get up and moving and get the steps going.

Have a good day!

littleredlipstick · 01/07/2019 07:23

I'm in!
I have a wedding to go to mid August and want to lose weight so I can fit back in to some of my lovely clothes instead of going out and buying a dress in a larger size.

pistachiomousse · 01/07/2019 07:27

Count me in please! I have to lose this pesky half stone - feel horrible and thick round the middle. I too go on holiday in four weeks and I really want it off. It's making me miserable not being able to wear what I want and I think half stone will make a big difference.

BustedDreams · 01/07/2019 07:28

Some of you might find recipe inspiration Here

cheesenpickles · 01/07/2019 07:28

May I join? I've been mixing intermittent fasting with keto and lost 16.lbs in July. I'm expecting that to slow down now but would like to aim for around 2lbs a week for July. Smile

BustedDreams · 01/07/2019 07:29

... and Here

shrumps · 01/07/2019 07:32

I'm in! I'm at my heaviest so have more than a half stone to lose but that would be a great start!

BustedDreams · 01/07/2019 07:34

Yes of course @cheesenpickles and that’s a great loss!

Welcome @pistachiomousse & @littleredlipstick . Great to have you.

Checking in with a starting weight of 234. My exercise ability is really limited so weight loss will be mostly diet-based during recovery. Unfortunately one of my meds makes me really hungry so I've bought some glucamannan to hopefully tide me through those spells.

Good Luck Everyone 😊

cheesenpickles · 01/07/2019 07:42

Thanks @BustedDreams I'm the same weight now as I was after 9 months of calorie counting and four months of slimming world, so it's working really well for me. Smile

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 01/07/2019 07:44

Oh wow, wish I'd read the thread fully first. I am WAY bigger than the rest of you. 😳😕

Furble · 01/07/2019 07:46

Morning All!
Start weight: 12 stone 10 (almost identical as after DS1 so I know I can do this)!
Goal for July: 12 stone 2
We have a holiday from Friday for a week which is likely to interfere with the weight loss but I’m hoping this thread will keep me motivated.
Am 5 weeks pp so only planned exercise for now is walking would love to start C25K in August.

Menu plan for the day:
Breakfast: Coffee, fruit and yoghurt
Lunch: Out with a friend
Dinner: Leftover chicken and new potato salad

GandalfTheGoat · 01/07/2019 07:57

Morning Grin

Just checking in, start weight is 12:12-8... a lot to go but aiming to lose 2lbs a week.

Good luck all for our first day.

Jollyholibobs · 01/07/2019 08:02

Morning everyone.

Starting weight for me 135.8lbs.
Holiday in less than three weeks.
Ambitious goal 129lbs
Menu plan for day

Breakfast Porridge made with water with chia seeds, ground mixed seeds and half banana.
Lunch cauliflower and chickpea curry with spinach
Dinner some sort of salad + 0% Greek yogurt
Snacks fruit and I love a cup of tea but will try to drink water too.

Good luck everyone-we can do this.

cheesenpickles · 01/07/2019 08:15

@WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa I was 204lbs at the beginning of June and have been 240lbs after my second child. X

ShintyFartMuscle · 01/07/2019 08:16

Well today has gone well so far.

Actually a really bad day of lots of things going wrong, but it’s gone well because I stopped and had lunch, I nearly ran out of time. But stopped and made sure I had something sensible (which included the ingredients for the beetroot and egg sandwich, but was probably nicer.

Good luck with your first days everyone

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 01/07/2019 08:17

Thank you @cheesenpickles. 😊 At least it does help it hit home that I am far too big.

DrDiva · 01/07/2019 08:21

Good morning all! Lovely to see you all, there are some early risers! Grin

Start weight 11st (haven’t put anything on after the weekend indulgences, phew!) goal 10.5. Meant to get up to do yoga this morning (started doing this last week) but my trusty alarm clock aka DS didn’t go off! Typical.

@WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa please stay! We are all on the same journey. Sounds like you’ve got lots to contend with as well - and these ladies seem a lovely, supportive bunch. Smile
