Hi all... OK the sun is shining but the summer wardrobe just doesn't fit. I know that this is a temporary blip in the weather and it will rain next week but I would love to be a stone lighter by the time summer starts for real. I feel miserable - anyone want to join me. Starting tomorrow.

Wow lots of you want to weigh 8 and a half stone? Seems extreme but fair play. I have not weighed that since I was 20! Now 35. I was hoping to get to 9 and a half from 10st 10 (had a baby 6 months ago) Lost a stone and seems to have stopped losing. I need to be more strict 😥

I have weighed 8 st since I was about 13! But I am 5ft11, so 10 ish is my happy zone. I am holding out for as long as possible for my breakfast.

Can I join? I started 2019 needing to lose 2.5 stone to get to a healthy BMI.

I’ve already lost one of those and it’s not even March yet! Another stone before Summer would be fantastic.

I’m sticking to a 1400 kcal diet and have recently started to up my exercise too. I’m hoping to achieve a lifestyle change, not a quick fix and it seems to be working well for me so far Smile

Currently weighing 88 kg. I’ve lost at least 3 inches off my waste, but the thing I’m most excited about is that I have about 10x the energy that I used to have. I can’t even begin to imagine how much of a change getting rid of another stone would make Grin

rainydog me too, 10st2 is perfect for me, but currently 11st4!

HOWEVER yesterday was 11st6 so this is move in right direction!

yesterday skipped breakfast and had a sort of mad fasting break period between 4 and 7 where I managed to eat:

three hardboiled eggs
a gluten-free pitta
some lettuce, grated carrot and feta with homemade french dressing
some prunes as only gluten-free sweet thing in house
two salad potatoes baked with tuna, yellow pepper, sweetcorn and mayo plus asparagus (bizarre kids tea combo)
more prunes

lots of coffee and not enough water.

thank you so much for whoever recommended Lose It the app! I have always loathed MFP, doesn't work for me. managed to record everything i put in yesterday and realised how much salad dressing i use and how many calories it is!

I think my brain is so fried from doing a bridget jones style combo of fasting, clean eating and low carb (plus gluten free as am coeliac) that I've forgotten what actually is laden with calories.

Anyway, so glad you're all here, my weight-loss companions!

crazzy i think it's amazing what a rut of not being fit, thus having no energy, thus not wanting to get off sofa, thus not being fit i have managed to get into!

Hi all, late to the party but can I still join?

I'm 9 stone after losing 1 and a half stone last year doing SW. Now I want to get to 8 stone but will settle for 8.5!

I have the issue of a very unhealthy partner (chicken nuggets and chips) and pure laziness with cooking.
I hate soup and I don't exercise.

Any suggested low carb meal plans?

I'm not doing very well at all. I'm logging everything and am doing well all day, then last night I couldn't sleep so ate a packet of crisps and 2 twix at 2am. Even as I opened them I was thinking what am I doing yet scoffed them regardless 😩

I think for anyone tall being ten stone is equivalent to someone shorter being 8 and a half stone as apparently you allow 5 pounds for every inch in height.
Low carb meals tend to be protein and veg ellenalex but you can have lots of normal food without it's carb component. So curry or chilli without rice or shepherd's pie with mashed cauli instead of potato, or beef casserole without dumplings but with lots of green veg etc. I am having chilli tonight with sour cream, grated cheese and guacamole but not the rice or tortilla chips and I'm very happy about that. I also make it with loads of extra mushrooms and go easy on the kidney beans and tomatoes as they can be quite carby.

Morning , I would like to join . Similar to loads of others I want rid off this stone I have managed to gain over the last 3 months . I’m 5,1 .. weighed today at 9 stone 2 , what to be 8/2 and wear all the clothes and feel great again.
I do ( or am meant to do) MFP and eat about 800 cals . Wine / prosecco and in general being tired and stressed make me ruin it by gorging at night . I also weigh every morning so it would be nice to update .

Or spaghetti bolognaise with courgetti instead of spaghetti or lasagne made with slices of aubergine instead of pasta and moussaka with no potato and extra aubergine.

@maloofhoof forget it. Move on. Just one night. (I’m assuming single finger two so actually two of them is only one ACTUAL twix so not so bad hey?!)

Maybe allow yourself a decent late evening snack so you don’t wake hungry.
Or signpost a yoghurt or something if you do get midnight munchies?

I’m sat eating even tho I’m not hungry because I won’t get a break again for hours. Feels wrong after how mindful I’ve been to only eat when hungry but I think needs must today else I’ll feel awful in a bit.

Whereareyouspot yes two singles. It happens most nights though. Great minds, I just bought some yoghurts for that reason! I'm off today and trying to keep myself away from the kitchen. Planning on eggs for dinner, hoping they'll fill me up to prevent the usually night time hunt for sugar and carbs.

I lost 1 stone and a pound with slimming world last year (just stuck to 6syns or less most days n it fell off). But I've put about half of it back on again xD might have to round two it this year.

@maloofhoof Time Restricted Eating is great if you are a post dinner snacker. It doesn’t have to be 16:8, it can be 12:12 to start with while you get into it.

I’m doing 16:8 but I refuse to give up my morning coffee, enjoyed in that window of ‘after the dog has got me up, but before the DCs get up’.

11 - 7 for me. (With the exception of that coffee).

How's everyone getting on today?
I've been on track so far, but I'm going out in a bit for a work do, which includes a fish and chip dinner Shock I've just had some scrambled egg on toast (no butter or milk) to fill me up a bit so I can leave some of the dinner.
So far I've had-
B: 2 weetabix, sweetener, SS milk
L: Tuna Mayo and sweetcorn sandwich, light babybel, grapes, sugar free jelly
S: scrambled egg on toast
Drinks: tea and sugar free squash

If I can get through tonight I'll be on the diet wagon for the rest of the week!

Slimming World would say it’s ok to eat the fish and chips but don’t eat the batter on the fish. And maybe only half the chips?

I’m finding that by not telling myself I mustn’t have something (carbs/sugar/chocolate/pizza) i’m Not wanting it as much as I did. I’m thinking about what is the best way to use the calories I have.

(I ate half a large Pizza Hut pizza, half a side of nachos and half a large bar of fruit and nut on Saturday night. I have not enjoyed food so much in ages). Back on track. Will have another blow out in two weekends time.

Probably not good dieting!!!

I have tried to stop eating around 8 to avoid the danger zone but last night then ended up being nothing after 7.30 and by about 11pm I was starving but in bed. Didn’t stop me falling asleep tho. Funny by morning when I got up I wasn’t hungry at all and then five lentil cakes and marmite made me feel stuffed.

Had a tricky split lunch as stuff to do so today-
5 lentil cakes and marmite
Apple
Huge portion of of Egg white low sugar cake (DS calls this pleasure free cake)
Kefir quark yoghurt thing with big heap of frozen berries
Another lentil cake with marmite

Starving now and not yet home
Loads of tea (8 cups!) and loads of water

Actually am finding the water thing a revaluation.
I’ve always drank loads of tea coffee and SF squash so didn’t feel the need to drink water other than with meals but actively choosing to drink a glass throughout the day somehow makes me feel virtuous and helps!

Oh I had some snack a jacks too and broke my no eating in the car rule. They were just there and I’m weak
