Hi all... OK the sun is shining but the summer wardrobe just doesn't fit. I know that this is a temporary blip in the weather and it will rain next week but I would love to be a stone lighter by the time summer starts for real. I feel miserable - anyone want to join me. Starting tomorrow.

Going to do the online shop soon and stock up on good food stuff. I struggle with lunches I just feel sandwiches are pretty boring at home lunches need inspiration

Oh god struggling today. Went out for lunch....had fried calamari 🐷 I did add it all up and still on track but much hungrier today. Trying to be good and hold out for dinner. But if a headache today..... think it's the wine & sugar detox 😳

Can I join in? I’m at the upper end of healthy BMI (I think but will weigh tomorrow) but have gained quite a lot of fat.

A stone would be great but even 9 lbs would make a difference. I’ve got no idea what plan/system I’m going to do yet. May try Fast Diet.

@notevenamum1 how can that be so many calories it sounds a really healthy and sensible day! Argh!

I had a late lunch and am pleased with myself as was absolutely starving but didn’t start snacking when I got in, I prepared a proper meal and sat down to eat it. But I’m really feeling munchy now even tho I can’t be actually hungry as it’s only three hours later!
I can feel a bit of a tiny rumble but think it’s late afternoon lull.

Have prepared the kids tea already so think I might take the dog a walk whilst they eat with DH and then have my meal later which might reduce the evening munchies

I could so so eat a big bowl of lovely sultana bran right now argh!!

Actually I’m going to have some water. Have had about seven teas and coffeees today

Weighed myself after lunch with the caveat that I had just eaten so don’t panic! And was done from 60.8 to 59.7 so shows you how variable weight is across the week and time of day. I’m mid cycle which always makes me bloat. We will see but if I see a general down trend I’m hoping it will really motivate me. I actually feel like these are sustainable changes that should make a difference.

So glad you are all here... trade show fine but now en route to the curry! Have looked up the healthy options and have anticipated by only having 3 x almond milk cappuccino all day. Main strength comes from knowing I will have to fess up tomorrow!

@whereareyouspot I know!!! It’s so sad how little food it is but a whole days calories!!! I really did not realise how much I was overeating until I started weighing and logging everything on MFP. It’s been a real eye opener. Well done on your loss!

Went on a bit of an eating frenzy when I got in from work - I think my body is craving carbs and is protesting angrily. Hopefully not to much damage done but what I wouldn't give for a family size bag of walker's sweet chilli crisps now! Anyway I'm off to do some exercise now and hopefully that will stop me thinking about food for a while. Looking forward to getting through this carb cold turkey.....

I’m two stone overweight. Nothing fits and I hide behind baggy blouses. Not good. Would be delighted to lose a stone.

Have started doing a 30 min cycle each day and have cut down portion size and biscuits with my cuppa.

I weighed myself after my spin class and I was down from 60.9kg to 60.3kg. That was probably mainly sweat! But it's the lowest reading on the scales I've had since Christmas so there must be a downward shift there somewhere.

I've got a stonking sugar withdrawal headache this evening, but this thread is keeping me motivated, thanks all Flowers

I am freezing! Ditched the salad for an M&S balanced ready meal because I wanted something hot.

I reckon it’s the low carb effect. Probably too low fat as well. Not sure how to up the fat and stay within 800 cals.

It isn’t actually that hard with the help of MFP. I can still eat three meals a day and I’m not hungry (just cold!) The Time Restricted Eating really helps too. 800 cals in 8 hours is ok.

5:2 would be 1200 cals a day, two days of 500. That’s going to be my next phase but I want a quick boost to start with.

I haven’t done a pan of veg this week which was a mistake. Last week a did a big tray of roast Mediterranean veg and had that ready to dish up with some chicken or fish. Delicious, quick and hot!

Can I join? It was so warm today that I put a t-shirt on, took a look in the mirror and quickly took it off again. Hopefully that was the wake up call to lose half a stone before I have to wear warm weather clothes again.
Currently 10st8. Want to get down to around 10st - ideally lower but I have spent about 3 days below 10st in the last 20yrs.
Been on the Mirena coil for 6mths or so and whilst it's had lots of positives and I don't think it's caused me to actually gain weight, I am only able to lose weight for about 10 - 14 days in any cycle and then just get more & more bloated.

Mustdrink that sounds like me with the tee shirts. I had one on the last day and I was inside in a sweaty swimming pool spectating and no way could I take off the jumper for the rolls of fat. OK in reality there's alot worse going on but still I'd like to get rid!

Shopping is all done for tomorrow. There's plenty of veg and I'm gonna roast them off and reheat as required. And I've also added oatcakes that I'll have with peanut butter and sliced apples.
And there's some soup and eggs in there so no more boring sambos for lunch. Although I'm not sure the above is much tastier but we shall see.

Well I haven’t eaten since 7.30pm and resisted the urge to have cereal when I got back after walking the dog 4 miles.
Evening is my absolute danger time so this is huge progress.
However I’m in bed at 10pm to avoid late snacking and I’m hungry! Roll on breakfast.

Morning all! Managed an hour at the gym last night and a bit sore this morning. Hoping the cravings for carbs reduce a bit today as I know once I've got into the low carbing zone it will be much easier and my appetite will go.
Planning on boiled eggs for breakfast and then salad and protein for lunch and chilli with no rice for dinner. Nuts for snacks. Planning on drinking plenty of water too. Have a good day everyone!

I survived last nights hunger and woke not feeling hungry at all. Enjoying several cups of morning tea tho! Couldn’t ever give them up.

Feel positive about today.

We can do it! We will not be roly poly in our summer wear!

My plan for today is:
B - scrambled eggs and spinach
L - cauliflower dhal
T - duck and cucumber wraps

I'm going swimming later on so that will avoid the evening munchies, I just need to resist the biscuits when I get back.

Rainydogday that's probably just changes in water levels look for the downward trend.

Porridge for breakfast. Nothing for the top of it in the house. So plain. And a cup of tea. How boring is this breakfast.

I also feel like I'm wasting away despite being 4 lbs overweight. My hope for the end of March is to be well into the 9 stones. We can do this.

I think I forget how addictive carbs are until I stop eating them and my body desperately craves sugar/crisps/bread/chips/wine.
As well as trying to lose weight I am also doing a few positive things around the house like tidying out a few drawers and sorting out my gym wear cupboard as I feel more excited about clothes once the bloat starts to subside!
