Hi all... OK the sun is shining but the summer wardrobe just doesn't fit. I know that this is a temporary blip in the weather and it will rain next week but I would love to be a stone lighter by the time summer starts for real. I feel miserable - anyone want to join me. Starting tomorrow.

Oh it’s all coming back to me I also had some flapjack leftovers when I was baking Blush

beela · 27/02/2019 18:57

*(I ate half a large Pizza Hut pizza, half a side of nachos and half a large bar of fruit and nut on Saturday night. I have not enjoyed food so much in ages). Back on track. Will have another blow out in two weekends time.

Probably not good dieting!!!*

I think that's great dieting. Blowouts are fine if they are occasional. Even more fine if they are part of the plan and not because you've just lost it! Eating like that every so often won't make you fat. Eating like that all the time will.

beela · 27/02/2019 19:01

I've stuck to my plan today but now I've finished eating and it feels like a long time until bedtime. Even longer until breakfast!

I'll get the dc to bed and go swimming, that will distract me.

O4FS · 27/02/2019 19:09

maloofhoof just one. Used to be two. Then black coffee through the morning.

whereareyouspot have you seen theees is a fruit and nut Easter egg and it’s the shell that is fruit and nut?! 😋 this is my endgame. At goal by Easter and it’s MINE. (Recognises pattern of rewarding self with food 😆)

newcamper · 27/02/2019 19:09

Can I join. Interested in fast 800 principles. Doing ww technically

Harumphharagh · 27/02/2019 20:34

Had homemade smoked mackerel pate (just mackerel mashed up with some plain yoghurt), celery and a big salad tonight.

HOWEVER, the amount of salad dressing and sprinkles of feta on the salad will probably bring me down!

Logging on Lose It! Is a revelation (a bad one sadly).

I love fruit and nut too!

TQBD · 27/02/2019 21:02

On paper today wasn’t the best, but I’m actually really pleased as made choices rather than mindlessly ate. Team meeting so heaps of snacks and sweets.. which I’d usually graze on all day. I was travelling as well which always makes carrying food/eating well difficult.

Breakfast was a prepacked yoghurt and oat cluster pot in the airport with a bag of apple and grapes. One point for not hitting Costa cheese toasties! I also opted for a huge tea with skim milk rather than a calorific coffee with flavourings and cream. Point two in the bag.

Mid morning avoided the cake, sweets etc and opted for a packet of crisps. Usually I’d eat crisps, cake, sweets and not think about it.

Lunch. Jacket potato with cheese and beans.

Afternoon. A teeny 50calorie snowball chocolate. Glass of fizz and some popcorn as a little luxe treat.

Dinner. Avoided burger etc at the airport and had a couple of plates at yo sushi. Really surprised at how many calories were in it as I’d genuinely considered it a healthier choice.

Came in at 1900 which I’d estimate is 300+ less than I’d usually plough through on a day like today!

notevenamum1 · 27/02/2019 21:53

Hi all. I had a good day today. 2 eggs scrambled with breakfast. Half bag uncle bens rice, veg and tin of tuna for lunch, and chicken salad with avocado and feta for dinner. Also had 2 coffees, 3 teas, 2litres of water and a fun sized twix. It’s come in at 1370 calories. I had a day off the gym but walked 13,000 steps. Feeling a bit hungry pre bed time but going to try and hold off. Motivated by my friends significant weight loss from 1,500 cals a day and 3 gym sessions a week.

Whereareyouspot · 27/02/2019 21:59

@TQBD travelling is a nightmare for eating well. I usually take a porridge pot and ask for hot water for my lunch. Salty popcorn is a good crisp alternative too.
Snacks at meetings is so hard!

Reckon you did good today

I went a bit to pot after dinner with some ice cream, a few fridge bots and bobs and started picking at flapjack again.....

But I did manage to stop about
8pm (was often still kitchen surfing at 10pm) and clean my teeth and leave the kitchen. Def felt a bit bloated full though and I didn’t sit down to eat.

So worst day since I started 3D ago but onwards!

helenb706 · 28/02/2019 06:46

Hi all
Sorry stupidly busy day yesterday and I sinned but back on track today. I think the important thing for all of us is to try not to sin but if you do come back and fess up as reading everyone else's posts makes me motivated again rather than disappearing off. Got on the scales and despite sinning lost 3 lbs. I am going to put the £15 in a jar!

Whereareyouspot · 28/02/2019 06:54

Ooh Helen well done that’s a great loss! How long has that taken? Less than a week or did you start before the thread?

£15 in the jar sounds perfect!

Whereareyouspot · 28/02/2019 06:54

How’s everyone else getting on? Come on let’s hear it good and bad!

maloofhoof · 28/02/2019 07:37

Made it through the night without snacking 💪🏼

Eattothebeat · 28/02/2019 07:43

Wow well done Helen! I also slipped up a bit yesterday due to being too busy at work to do things properly. Back on it with a vengeance today though!

helenb706 · 28/02/2019 07:58

4 days! I guess I like all the healthy stuff but snack on carbs... cut out carbs and hey presto.

MorrisZapp · 28/02/2019 08:11

Hello my people! I'm MorrisZapp and I have a stone to lose by summer. I'm currently hovering over 11 stone, and I want to weigh 10 stone and a bit.

Two motivations: I'm a jeans obsessive and I don't look good in my favourite brands. I bought a pair that are frankly too small for me but they're fucking lovely and by christ I will get into them.

Second motivation and no judgement please: I have an insanely hot young male colleague recently joined my small office. Don't worry, I'm not trying to shag him but I'm sorry, I can't BEAR to look like a middle aged frump to him.

Anyway I know what's needed, a huge cull of snacking. I need to cut out 80% of the treats I've been munching.

I can't low carb, I'm a child of the 80s and it's all high fibre in my world.

I'll eat the same breakfast and lunch I always have, but need to stick to healthy dinners and no post dinner grazing.

Could I maybe try a low carb dinner? What's a really delicious one?

MorrisZapp · 28/02/2019 08:12

Also I weigh myself in Boots on the fancy machine. I won't do it unless I'm going to like the outcome so probably once a fortnight! I'll do it today.

Thisimmortalcurl · 28/02/2019 10:04

Really good yesterday , weighed at 8 stone 13 .. so that’s 3 lb overnight ... will just be water and getting rid of the gorging from the day before but still good .
Hopefully today will be fine but I have a meal out on Friday night and then working all weekend . 13 hour shifts and dieting are unbelievably hard for me but I’ll try to stay in the zone .
@MorrisZapp I’m the same with jeans, I have three pairs that I love wearing when I’m feeling slim . Your post made me laugh about the hot stuff in the office.

rainydogday · 28/02/2019 10:15

Oh I struggle when doing 13 hour shifts too! I am a midwife so always so many thank you chocolates on the desk. Missed breaks make them too tempting! I failed a little yesterday as I had friends round for book club.... missed dinner but had olives, wine etc. I stayed the same weight. It's my DS birthday so already had cake mixture 😳

twobambinos · 28/02/2019 10:16

Omg well done on the losses such big losses too.

Have had my porridge and tea for breakfast. Feeling tired today I guess it's from cutting way back on the sweet stuff. Planning oatcakes peanut butter and apple for lunch and not sure about dinner yet but it will include leftover veg from yesterday. Roasted up aubergine courgette and peppers.

Also not sure who it was up thread. One twix is half a bar two twix is one bar.

OhHelp0hNo · 28/02/2019 11:34

Well I ate all the fish and most of the chips last night but it was the tiniest portion of chips ever and I've tracked it so don't feel too bad, just got to cut back a bit over the next few days to make up for it.

@helenb706 and @Thisimmortalcurl 3lb off is great, well done you two!

beela · 28/02/2019 11:53

@morriszap no judgement here, that would spur me on to lose weight too Grin

I'm at work today and trying to ignore a bag of sweets behind me. I just need to hold out until lunchtime and my lentil soup.

Harumphharagh · 28/02/2019 14:03

Large omelette for lunch with cup of veg soup, no breakfast.

Has anyone ever tried carb cycling? Total gimmick?

O4FS · 28/02/2019 14:26

What’s carb cycling?

I bloody love carbs. Greasy ones. Or sugary ones. I don’t discriminate.

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 28/02/2019 14:36

I recommend weightwatchers (I'm a customer not an employee!) I tried on my own but I really saw the difference when I joined WW. I've lost over 4 stone. 3:5 of it on WW!! It really makes you look at food in a new way. I am having the most wonderful meals (most from scratch) I plan more and spend, waste and weigh less!) I've just learned a few tweaks. Eg instead of chips, pasta, rice and bread I have butternut squash, cauliflower rice (which is really nice if you do it spicy) and flatbreads. Loads of choice, no need to get bored or feel deprived. Just the tracking points and weekly weigh ins made me so much more accountable.
