We’re a very friendly, supportive group, and all at different stages, but we’re all seeing some real changes in ourselves and our attitudes to food. It’s a long old road, but it helps to chat along the way

We tend to weigh in on Fridays or Saturdays, but feel free to join in at any time, with whatever weight loss method you think works best for you. Some of us have lost more than others, but we're all in this together, so if you're losing, gaining or staying the same, it's nice to have some inspiration to keep going.

We’re always welcoming to newcomers, but as with the previous thread(s), I’ll add one caveat - we’re all here because we are trying to lose a LOT of weight. If you’re looking to lose the last half stone, or even two or three stone, this might not be the thread for you. Good luck with your goals, but you may find more support with in threads with people who have similar goals to you.

Wow Honey that's amazing!!! I'm grinning alongside you as it shows how much we can all achieve if motivated like you are. Grin

Longhaul2019 · 25/02/2019 20:23
Envy And that IS envy Honey

Just kidding. Congratulations. You deserve it!

CheshireChat · 26/02/2019 02:21

That's amazing honey!

cricketmum84 · 26/02/2019 06:20

Somehow managed to lost 6.5lbs this week!

I still have 10.5 stone to go until target but it's moving along nicely :)

Chickenvindasaag · 26/02/2019 11:39

Honey that's amazing!
How do people distract themselves when they want ALL the sugar? My willpower seems to be non existent at the moment!

CheshireChat · 26/02/2019 20:03

Chickenvindasaag I just have stuff like pepsi Max or naturally sweet stuff like sweet potato.

That's a great loss well done 👍

Honey
Well done, i bet it's the best feeling. Enjoy your new clothes and being able to get into them 😊

Had a good day yesterday, turns out DD had a severe posterior tongue tie which has now been sorted. Already feeding is easier and she is putting back on her weight finally.

Anyway, I'm being sensible with my food except for the hot cross buns. They are my favourite and in all the shops at the moment. Just got to regulate myself a bit and only have one for a snack rather than two.

How's it going for you all this week?

Aph413 · 28/02/2019 16:32

Hi everyone I joined a few threads back when I thought 96lbs wasn't close enough to 100lbs to join you and very promptly fell of the wagon. Been back on it since November so thought I'd check back in with everyone. I've gone right back to basic and I'm focussing on just eating a calorie deficit using my fitness pal to track everything. When I've lost a bit more I'll start exercising.

Weightloss so far 31lbs
Left to lose 65lbs

HoneysuckIejasmine · 28/02/2019 17:02

Moonlight it makes me so angry that tongue tie is all but ignored. I don't understand why it's not a standard newborn check. As you know, from probably very painful experience, it can make or break your feeding experience. DS had it too and it was horrendous until I paid £150 to get it sorted privately.

Aph welcome back! 31lbs us fabulous progress, well done!

I am a bit off the wagon. Like, nowhere near what I used to be but I've started snacking again. Argh. It's not good. I need to sort it out. I'm away this weekend with friends. I've done the food shop and I know it's going to be a hard weekend to keep things in moderation. So not sure whether to just accept that I'll go over. I think I need to - if I try and fail I'll probably just go totally overboard. But if I accept I'm probably going to be a few 100 cals over each day then I'll probably be able to keep the emotional side under control too. I hope.

Hang in there honey I've been reading about the benefits of diet breaks and there's a lot of good evidence but I'm still not sure I will want to take one, ever!

4 lbs down this week.

moonlight1705 · 02/03/2019 11:11

I've had an interesting week with food in that I'm not trying to diet but meal times have been random as has snacking.

Loss this week: 2lb
Total loss: 30lb (totally taking it from top pregnancy weight Smile )

honey a little break might be the thing you need....don't think about food but listen to your body and stop if you don't want it. You'll be fine Grin
You are right about tongue ties, I was lucky and had it done on the NHS but postcode lottery. None of the midwives suggested it, I asked them to refer us as had read about it on mumsnet and thought it might be a possibility.

moonlight1705 · 02/03/2019 11:12

Meant to say well done longhaul, that's such a good loss in a week.

cricketmum84 · 02/03/2019 11:59

I had my induction session at gymophobics this morning. Was pleasantly surprised by it! Already aching though Grin

FATEdestiny · 02/03/2019 12:08

I dropped off the thread! Still here, still KOKO.

longhaul2019 · 02/03/2019 12:22

Thank you moonlight I'll enjoy the big losses while they last. 🤗

Aph413 · 02/03/2019 15:04

I've maintained from my first check in with this group. Currently at 225lbs.
Well done on your loss @longhaul

Quandary2018 · 03/03/2019 09:05

Well done on your loss longhaul!

Cricket that’s a great first step- I always find inductions to gym things make me incredibly nervous and then I avoid going!

Honey I think a break is a great idea, just for a little bit, not having to focus so much on what you’re eating and not stressing over going over your “allowance” will undoubtedly mean you don’t go crazy calorie wise- just have what you want, when you want it and don’t feel guilty!

I am finally back down to the weight I was at on the 8th Feb! I don’t know what went wrong this last month but I’ve been gaining and losing the same blinking 1-2lbs
Now that I’m back to where I was I am determined to only see the numbers go down- no more farting around. I clearly have to be really very strict with myself and, whereas I was eating 12-1300 calories a day this week I’ve been more like 1050-1150 and that seems to have done the trick.
That and drinking loads more water!

KOKO everyone, we will get there!

Gothamgirl1970 · 03/03/2019 10:54

I am -7 since my first post. Hope everyone is ok

Longhaul2019 · 03/03/2019 19:18

Thanks Aph and Quandary

Here's to a great week for us all Wine

HoneysuckIejasmine · 04/03/2019 07:27

Hi all. Had my weekend away. Actually did go too wrong - helped that we did an 11km walk in the Peak District. Will wait a few days before weighing in though to let it settle. I've not seen a lot of the other ladies since before I started the diet, so it was good for the ego 😂

TheStirrer · 04/03/2019 19:52

Well I completely fell off the wagon last week and gave in to emotional eating.
3lbs on.....
Feel in a better frame of mind this week so onwards and downwards Grin

Longhaul2019 · 06/03/2019 14:02

Who knew I could put on 1 and a bit pounds just from ovulating! I know it'll go and my food is fine but I weigh daily now so wasn't aware. FFS.
