Hello,
I was wondering how much weight u fellow vlcd people have lost in the space of 10 weeks. I am planning to attend a friends wedding in 10 weeks and am attempting to loose weight. I am abit 5 stone overweight so i am desperate to loose some weight using exante till the wedding.
Looking forward to hearing your success stories.

*Georgie" sorry, the last thing I want to do is make anyone feel depressed. I'm still comfortably in the 'obese' bracket and I carry my weight on my face and around my middle... not a good look.

ohsoslim · 26/04/2018 12:00

190 or any other number is just that,
Just a number! It's all relative to how you feel , as well as height -and I do believe some people are just built heavier- I am just 5ft, and I weigh less than 190 - but I am fat, well fat!!!! Obese category !
We all have our own goals and we should all measure ourselves just for ourselves - don't compare!! Thanks

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 26/04/2018 18:40

Week 1 - 100% looking forward to weigh in in the morning. Probably haven’t drunk as much as I should have but that’s something to work on in week 2.

Good luck to all the Friday Weighers!

Remote1candles · 26/04/2018 21:10

Weighed myself this morning and I've lost 2lbs, taking my total weight loss to 26.5lbs. I've been struggling with hunger over the last couple of days, so this cheered me up and helped me stick with it.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 26/04/2018 21:26

That’s brilliant remote Star

2under2survivor · 27/04/2018 05:55

Georgie good luck with your weight in - fingers crossed for a big loss

Remote well done you, that is brilliant. Nearly at the 2 stone mark!

I swear my kids are trying to sabotage me, up again at 4am. That's a lot of hours in the day to spread 600 calories across. They must like me cuddly!

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 27/04/2018 08:26

-5.4lb. Bit disappointed if I’m honest!

GaryBaldyBiscuit · 27/04/2018 10:08

I’ve lost 10lbs! However I did start my period last weekend so I think that half of it as I’m a bloater when I’m due on.
Georgie, that’s very close to half a stone, in a week! That’s bloody brilliant! And you might find you loose a bit more than average in your second week while people like me only loose 1-2lbs so it’ll even out please don’t feel disheartened x
Well done too Remote!

NoCanoe · 27/04/2018 10:45

5lbs here.
I wasnt well yesterday so ate nothing.
Bit disappointed myself, to be honest. But 5lbs off is better than it still being there!

Wow @Gary. Thats fantastic!! Star

2under2survivor · 27/04/2018 12:21

Georgie as Gary says, you may well be one of those people who loses big in week 2. 5.4lbs though... that's 10 packs of butter!

Gary and NoCanoe well done, those are brilliant losses!

Had a little wander through the clothes section of Sainsburys earlier, they had some lovely summer dresses in. I wonder if this summer will be the one I finally get my arms out?

NoCanoe · 27/04/2018 12:27

@2under2 - yikes. That is a bluddy long day to stretch 600 cals. Sad
Maybe an extra 200 cals on those days would help? You will be clearly burning up the calories!

My dilemma today is i still feel sicky....I know i need to eat but I want fish!! Seriously, all my roly poly tum wants is fish....Confused

2under2survivor · 27/04/2018 12:48

NoCanoe that's my strategy if I feel I'm too hungry... better to have an extra product than to go completely off plan. If you are craving fish, maybe you could have a man plan today? Some fish and a bit of broccolli perhaps?

2under2survivor · 27/04/2018 12:52

have a man plan day* today. Sleep deprivation...

NoCanoe · 27/04/2018 13:24

@2under2 - Ta for that suggestion. I think I will have a fish dinner tonight. Smile
I dont see me having anything else in terms of shakes or bars. I feel a bit pukey at the thought! Envy Not envy of course - green at the gills. Hmm

NoCanoe · 27/04/2018 13:47

Anyone else with any updates/comments?

Are we keeping positive? Flowers

Buxtonstill · 27/04/2018 15:52

I lost four stones with Exante last year, however fell off the wagon over Christmas, and by April had put back 2.5. Started again just over two weeks ago and have lost 8.5 lbs. Had a bit of a disaster on Wednesday at a friends party, but right on track again.I love this plan, because there is less room for error than calorie counting etc. If I had a 'diet' sandwich, it was too easy to underestimate what i was eating. Ditto with dishing up main meals. After my downfall, I am feeling very positive again. I love Sundays, because I am at home and have time to make my Exante pancakes! have a good day everyone!

2under2survivor · 27/04/2018 16:13

Buxton that's great progress, you will be back where you want to be in no time. I love the pancakes too.

Day 4 is going well, I'm definitely less hungry physically, although I still feel emotionally hungry, if that makes sense. I'm really finding this diet is helping me distinguish between the two. Slightly nervous about going into my first weekend... my body is already asking for a gin & slimline tonic tonight. Will just put some sparkling water in a gin glass and pretend Halo

NoCanoe · 27/04/2018 19:42

@Buxtonstill - that's promising and positive. Reminds us all perfection is not necessary! Just the will to continue when we have slipped up a bit.

@2under2 - I feel your pain! Im used to weekend treats too.Wine Sigh....

Just had small piece of haddock, spoonful of peas and tsp of tartare sauce.
Not totally balanced but it better than nothing. Smile

Hopefully back on track tomorrow. Bear

NoCanoe · 28/04/2018 09:22

How are we all today.?

NoCanoe · 28/04/2018 09:26

I had a crap night. Leg cramp. Which i read can be sign of ketosis. Im getting some magnisium tablets to help and will drink salted water. Lovely!

cardoon · 28/04/2018 10:53

this
or
this
would be more palatable Wink

TheShaniaTwainExperience · 28/04/2018 11:10

Congratulations on your losses everyone, may I join?

Tuesday will mark 2 weeks for me since starting VLCD; I have lost 1 stone 2 pounds. I’m now 13 stone 5, 12 stone 7 will put me in the healthy bmi bracket.

I’m FINALLY feeling fine and not hungry, dizziness has gone, etc. The first week I was a mess, very snappy and tired :-s

Keep on VLCDers!

TheShaniaTwainExperience · 28/04/2018 11:11

No I’ve started taking supplements too, and I keep getting restless legs similarly to what I had during pregnancy. Very strange

NoCanoe · 28/04/2018 11:51

Welcome aboard @Shania - thats a great loss!! Star

Ta @cardoon - good options! I have one in the cupboard; going to read up on the second option now! Grin

TheShaniaTwainExperience · 28/04/2018 12:22

Aw thank you for the welcome! I’ve been off mumsnet for a few weeks, I wish I had logged back in when I started tbh. I could have used the support; that first week is absolutely hellish.

Is anyone else drinking green tea? It’s the only tea I can drink and I heard it’s good for metabolism but that could be a load of hocum
