Ronnyhotdog Thanks

Glad you've got the all clear and maintaining during a stressful time is great in itself.
It's hard if you want/need to have a social life. We don't really eat out very often, money is tight and even tighter buying these products so I haven't really had that challange.
Have a great trip. Anyway maintaining is great practice for when you hit your goalGrin

Wetdogloveshubert · 14/09/2018 07:11

I'm sorry to hear that Ronny, health scares are horrid. Great to hear you got the all-clear. Hopefully your break will give you some time to chill and enjoy life.

Minnie you are inspirational! You have done fabulously and should be really proud. This diet bloody well works! And Michael Moseley has been banging on about it too; the health benefits are really obvious for me. Maybe more will join us again?

User5trillion · 16/09/2018 10:35

How is everyone doing? I am one week in and 9lbs down. I am feeling really good and positive, I have attempted this several times and have never gotten this far! I have 5-6 stone to lose ideally but am aiming for a straight 60 days first.

NoCanoe · 24/09/2018 10:17

And for the third time Blush, I haul my fat ass onto the wagon. I seem to have played around with the same 5 lbs here and there for months now and simply made no progress whatsoever.

But, hitching up my big girl pants (xxl ones, btw) and starting again. And determined not to be thrown off course by crappy life stresses! Halo

I have 10 weeks to make a difference. Starting today.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 24/09/2018 13:14

NoCanoe welcome back.

I'm having a shit time at the moment, we had to have our dog put to sleep over the weekend and I just feel shit.

NoCanoe · 24/09/2018 22:19

Shit @Minnie - my dog under operation at moment! My 2 shakes turned into 2 large gin and tonics! I feel for you, I've had a bad evening so can empathise with you. Been there before....

NoCanoe · 24/09/2018 22:20

I tried paragraphs. They didn't work.

DrOnWheels · 25/09/2018 00:56

I haven't posted for a few weeks - hectic times at work. I'm about 11 weeks in and net -1st 2 lbs. Can't believe I have lost a stone (slow and steady).
It is rather satisfying to have jeans feel too loose on me when I couldn't even squeeze into them 11 weeks ago. GP is also happy with my weight loss. Just another 1st 7lbs to go so feeling positive 😁 - keep on the wagon everyone!

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 25/09/2018 07:25

NoCanoe hope everything went well for you and your dog. I've had my first slip, had 6/7 slices of chocolate orange, could have been worse. I need to not do this, eating rubbish food isn't going to ease my guilt or bring her back 😔

NoCanoe · 25/09/2018 17:56

Minnie - my heart goes out to you. You've been in my mind all day. You have shown determination of steel to go through all that and limit your 'comfort ' to a few segments of chocolate orange! You should be very proud of yourself. I was a complete wuss last night! Didn't even try to stay on track!

Being good today, though hearing Mr Dog moaning and groaning in pain has been a trial. Poor lad.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 25/09/2018 20:07

Thank you NoCanoe

Poor you and dog, hope his pain eases soon.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 26/09/2018 14:45

Lost 2.5lb this week
53lb total

Jenasaurus · 02/10/2018 19:40

2 stone 8 pounds gone so far. I started on 23rd July and hope to lose another 2 stone by 11th December. I am 11stone 6 and 5 ft 4 a size 14 I was 14 stone and a size 24 so really pleased with my loss and downsizing over just 10 weeks. Keep going everyone it does work x

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 02/10/2018 21:47

Jenasaurus wow, you've dropped 5 dress sizes, that's amazing. Well done.

Your current weight is round about where I hope to end up.

It's weigh day tomorrow for me. Scales haven't been moving much this week but hopefully will have some movement. Will be happy with any loss .

NoCanoe · 03/10/2018 09:58

Wow! Minnie and Jenasaurus - fantastic going , both of you!

My last week has been a bummer. For every good day, I've had a bad day. Blush

Starting again today. Ordered more shakes and I'm just going to have to get my ass glued to that bluddy wagon!

paranoiamumma · 03/10/2018 10:18

Well done guys everyone is doing so well , I have been on lipotrim since the 5th June and haven't weighed since 23/07 up too that point I had lost 31lb, I have stuck to it religiously but I can't not find the courage and to weigh.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 03/10/2018 13:51

This week went much better than expected, 3lb off, 4stone lost now.

paranoiamumma that's great so you lost 31lb in about 6 weeks, now you've done another 2 months, god I'd need to know. I have no idea how you have the will power to not get on the scales, I can't stay off them 😁.
Well done, when you pluck up the courage to weigh yourself please come back and share it with us.

paranoiamumma · 03/10/2018 14:04

I think it started as a if I leave it a month the lose will seem bigger , so I did then the month come and I lost the courage to get on. I think I am worried I will be disappointed then go off tract everyone I work with keeps saying weigh yourself and I say I will but never do , on the 15th of November I am going to try to refeed diet. So I need to weigh by then to know if it's working.

MrsDeanWinchester75 · 04/10/2018 18:44

Hi everyone,

I started on the Cambridge diet yesterday and need to lose 4 stone, I've done it before a few times but always regained it, nothing to do with the diet just me over eating.

I'm now on antidepressants after needing them for years and feel a different person so I'm hoping this time I'll keep the weight off now I'm no longer an emotional eater.
I've also found out my cholesterol is a little high so I have a health reason for doing it too.

Sorry it's long, it's very cathartic writing it all down.

I can't wait until I'm a few weeks into it like you guys and am a good few lbs lighter, it seems like a huge mountain at the moment.

NoCanoe · 05/10/2018 12:27

Hey, MrsDean -welcome aboard!
We have old timers, new timers, drop in timers and at their end of tether timers!
I'm hybrid. Drop in/end of rather. Blush

I'm gearing up for an uninterrupted run for mid December. I've yet to get beyond 5 days because I'm a wuss.

NoCanoe · 05/10/2018 12:29

Rather? I changed it before posting!
TETHER!!! Angry

MrsDeanWinchester75 · 05/10/2018 23:11

Hi Canoe,

It's not nice getting back on it but just think how great you'll feel at Christmas if you do it.
Cambridge do a 60 day challenge which is basically just a chart you tick off but it's a nice visual and feels somehow easier having a definite end date, I've only done 3 days so mine ends on 2nd December and I'm hoping to be 2 stone lighter.

Maybe you could make your own and stick it to the fridge to help you get through the early stage.

NoCanoe · 08/10/2018 07:47

Good idea, MrsDean! Im pinning my calender up this morning.

I've also just discovered the SAS programme featuring Ant Middleton....He said the right mindset will see you through anything. And I thought - yup, thats true and I need to dig deep to force mine into active service and declare war on my flubber.

I'm officially at war with myself, in a sense. Confused

NoCanoe · 08/10/2018 07:48

Here's to a productive week, everyone!Flowers

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 10/10/2018 14:15

I've not had a great week this week. Stayed the same.

My husband usually works away but has been home more this week so I've been eating what he's having and having an extra meal here and there.

It's just excuses though because at the end of the day I haven't stuck to it and I've got the result I deserve.
