Hi I started on Exante yesterday. I have around 6 stone to lose!

I am trying to do 16/8 so have my first pack around 12, second at 3 and then one at 6pm. Well thats the plan anyway. Yesterday I added a bit of veg to the savoury packs and had some unsweetened almond milk taking my cals to 800.

My husband works away Mon - Fri and children are busy teenagers who don't take much notice. I am hoping this makes it easier to stick to.

School has started back today (Scotland) and it feels very Autumnal so a good time to start I reckon.

I have a weekend away in Mid September and a holiday in October so that should keep me focussed. I don't plan to use packs when I am away but we will see nearer the time.

Wetdogloveshubert · 21/08/2018 09:09

Great to have you with us Belindabelle. Sticking with the plan reaps rewards really quickly, so it's very satisfying and can be a motivator on its own.

I forgot to bring a pack out with me this morning (MAP nightmare) so I've had a spoonful of peanut butter to get something in me. This week is tougher, with so many social engagements!

Ronnyhotdog · 22/08/2018 08:00

Hi belindabelle, how’s your week going?

I seem to be having the same week 2 slump as last time, scale barely shifting.

Belindabelle · 22/08/2018 08:37

Surprisingly it is going really well.

No movement on the scales yet but I am not worried. Obviously if I am eating 800cals a day I will lose weight.
Eventually!

I am going to put it down to doing a weeks strict low carb and losing around 7lbs last week. I noticed that the carbs in some of the packs are fairly high so if having 3 a day it will add up. But obviously the low calories over ride the carbs.

Choc mint shake was ok. I was surprised how full I felt after drinking it.

Ronnyhotdog · 22/08/2018 08:59

I like the choc mint one, choc orange is also nice. I think my favourite has to be banana.

Wetdogloveshubert · 22/08/2018 10:30

I'm down to 11s 6lb this morning - hoorah for 1.5st (21lbs) down to date!

They'll start shifting again Ronnyhotdog - I think it's just the body adjusting to the low calorie intake?

Jenasaurus · 22/08/2018 12:07

My weigh in is tomorrow, well done everyone with your losses

Ronnyhotdog · 22/08/2018 14:33

wetdog we are very similar. I was 11st 4 this morn, 24lb lost. I was hoping to see the 10s by the end of the week but I think with social plans on Saturday I might be asking a bit much :)

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 22/08/2018 15:52

First disappointing week for me. Stayed the same, think it was week 11 but I've lost track, will have to check.

Mint chocolate is my favourite, wasn't that keen on the choc orange, maybe that's because I wanted it to be like drinking a liquid terry's chocolate orange Blush

Wetdogloveshubert · 24/08/2018 18:28

Ditto that Ronny. There's just been too much activity for me this week - and my period surprised me today (MAP or diet, no idea which most responsible?) means the dreaded bloat is upon me.

Minnies I'm impressed you're still going! It's fab that you've been able to stay the course. I'm no fan of chocolate orange, but enjoy the mint choc shake. Slightly addicted to the peanut butter bars, worryingly. Are there any new flavours we should all try? How are you keeping it fresh?

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 24/08/2018 20:01

Wetdogloveshubert Thanks Blush
I'm surprised I've lasted this long, I hoped to do it for 12 weeks but didn't think I'd even complete 4 weeks.
To be honest, I'm struggling with the boredom now.
Since I started I've made my own evening meals, stir fries, salads mainly but I think that's helped until now.
I do the 800 high calorie week every 4th week.
I like the choc orange bar and the white choc-raspberry bar, ordered the coconut bar today. I haven't tried any of the new flavours yet but ordered the cherry lips and rhubarb and custard ones today.

Ronnyhotdog · 27/08/2018 13:58

My Saturday off plan turned into Saturday and Sunday. I’ve not weighed in this morning, I’ll do it tomorrow. Hopefully I’ve not done too much damage. Hope you’ve all had a good weekend.

Wetdogloveshubert · 27/08/2018 15:11

Ronny ditto here, plus far too much cheese last night which has made me feel rather tired and bloated today. It wasn't worth it! I'm actually looking forward to going back on-plan tomorrow! Hopefully we'll only have plateaued.

Ronnyhotdog · 28/08/2018 07:39

I’m up 2oz this morning, I can cope with that! I’ve got 2 weeks where I can be 100% on plan. My aim is to get down to the next stone bracket in those 2 weeks.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 29/08/2018 07:54

Lost 4lb this week

12 weeks done 43lb lost.
I'm very happy with that.
I'm curious what othersare doing when they get to 12 weeks. I've been a little unsure because most of these diets say to only use them for 12 weeks including the tv programme which I think kicked this off for so many of us but exante's website says if you do the 800 calorie week every 4th week you can continue to goal weight.
I feel like I want to keep going, this is working for me, it's be mad to stop, wouldn't it.

Are others getting medical checks? I haven't because no health problems and I recall reading if you have no health problems you don't have to be medically supervised.

Belindabelle · 29/08/2018 10:52

No health checks here. I have lost about 12lbs in 2weeks. Very pleased.

I seem to be having around 800cals most days though by the time I add a little veg to the savoury packs and count the milk I add to tea and coffee. I will just continue with this unless it starts to cause problems.

Ronnyhotdog · 29/08/2018 15:53

minnie that is amazing, well done. Your will power is fab!
I don’t know what my long term plan is. I’ll have to think about adding food in a some point, maybe when I get in to the healthy bmi range.
Health check wise, they keep a check on me anyway because of health problems I have, fortnightly bloods, annual ecg. I’ve not told the Dr’s what I’m doing but if any concerns are flagged up I’ll come clean. I think as long as I’m feeling good, it’s all good.

belinda that’s great going, it give the old motivation a boost doesn’t it when the scales drop like that. How’s the smoking going?

Wetdogloveshubert · 30/08/2018 23:00

I seem to be stuck at 11st5, even with a horrendous bout of diahrrea all day Tuesday which I suspect may have been brought on by too much food over the weekend. Consider yourselves warned!

Great losses though, Belinda and Minnie, you're doing great.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 31/08/2018 08:32

Wetdogloveshubert how long have you been stuck at 11st 5?
How much more are you wanting to lose?

Wetdogloveshubert · 03/09/2018 07:23

Minnies it started shifting again last week - I've dropped to 11st 3lb now. I don't have a target per se - I wasn't expecting it to work so well! I have just ordered another week's worth of exante to take me another fortnight, but I think that will be it for a month or so because I'm bored! It's all fine in the week, then the weekend hits and it's difficult to see others enjoying food.

I did have a small meal out on Saturday and a small portion of Indian takeaway last night, which was rather stupid as I was definitely in ketosis this weekend. Will plod on this week and be more strict to speed things up again.

How are you doing?

DrOnWheels · 03/09/2018 08:05

Back from 2 weeks hols. Managed to do 2 packs a day plus a small evening meal with the family (around a half portion of what I previously would have eaten!). Also managed to not drink alcohol at the social occasions 👏and it all paid off. I expected to out on around 4lbs while away but I actually lost 1lb 😲.

Week 8 weigh in: -1lb (net loss -8lbs). Will now catch up with the rest of the thread. Hoping everyone else has been doing well too.

Ronnyhotdog · 03/09/2018 20:40

Well done dr a loss while on holiday is brilliant.

wetdog that 10stone is With I’m grasp, well done.

I’m 3lb down this week. So close to the next stone bracket. I had the weekend off plan again, back to it this morning. This week is hard, I’m out for meals on Thurs/sat/Sun. I’m not holding my breath for hitting the 10’s this week.

Wetdogloveshubert · 04/09/2018 17:44

DrOnWheels that is brilliant, well done!

Ronny even with meals out keep the faith. You're doing so well - and we are all in for the long term wins. 10st is within sight and looking good.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 12/09/2018 08:37

Dr thats great losing on holiday.

I didn't check in last week.
Lost 2lb last week and 4lb 12oz this week.
Total lost now 49lb 12oz.

I'm so happy with how this is going. I haven't been this weight for approx 11-12years.

Ronnyhotdog · 12/09/2018 15:23

Well done minnie you’re doing amazingly well.
I’ve had a terrible couple of weeks, I’ve had health scare that’s taken it’s toll, I got the all clear today which is great. I’ve maintained but go away tomorrow until Sunday so won’t be getting back on it until Monday.
