Week 4, lost 2lb this week. Total 19lb.

Well done emzie78

Hi Enneirda glad you found us.

Ronnyhotdog · 04/07/2018 09:04

Well done everyone on your losses Grin you’re all doing brilliantly.

We have got new scales so I’ve weighed myself to get a new start weight. They are 1lb lighter than the old scales so I’m hoping that’s a good sign for Monday’s weigh in.
They also come with a body fat program you follow on the app, they recommend daily weighing so I’m going back to that.
It’s my day off today, should really catch up on house work but it’s far too sunny so I’m off out to enjoy the weather.

Have a good day everyone

Enneirda · 04/07/2018 16:30

Thanks @MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting!

IdLikeABiscuitPlease · 04/07/2018 21:47

11lbs down so far in 2 weeks (although for the first week, I didn't really follow plan).

Friend agreed to give me £300 when I've lost 3st!

Nearly a 3rd down!

Itsmeaga1n · 05/07/2018 12:21

I weighed myself this morning after 3 days and have lost nothing Sad I'm struggling to drink enough water .. I hate the smell of water, it makes me gag, so I've been putting a slice of lemon in it but still struggle to drink.

Ronnyhotdog · 05/07/2018 12:38

Some people on this thread have been having sugar free squash and still having good losses, maybe try that? Try not to be disheartened & keep going, it will come off.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 05/07/2018 13:00

This may sound stupid Itsmeaga1n but I don't like tepid water straight from the tap but like it if I chill it.

Itsmeaga1n · 05/07/2018 14:44

Yes I prefer it chilled too but it's the smell that makes me gag Blush

I'll try sugar free squash .. I have the exante water enhancer but it just tastes of sweetener.

DoIGotToSellMySoul · 05/07/2018 21:20

I have "No added sugar" squash and I'm still losing.

Also, question!

TMI but when you go for a number 2, is it slightly watery??

emzie78 · 05/07/2018 23:01

The vimto with the blue lid is better than alot of mixers to add to water.

On the cambridge forum there is alot of members having small loses this week. They've been told it's due to the hot weather and our bodies retaining more water......so hang in there and keep drinking plenty.

Wetdogloveshubert · 06/07/2018 17:56

@DoIGotToSellMySoul I have that when I've introduced vegetables (non-Exante meal) into my diet. Less so otherwise, but then it's not been frequent.

Ronnyhotdog · 06/07/2018 19:17

I’m having stomach issues at the moment. The last 3 days have been awful. Within 20 mins of having anything to eat or drink my stomach starts gurgling & cramping. Then at some point it’s a rush to the loo. I’m hoping it’s a bug, I don’t want to suddenly be having some sort of reaction to the diet.

ThatsWotSheSaid · 07/07/2018 07:36

I’m in week 5 (with a weekend off) I’ve just weighed in and I’ve lost a total of 20lb!! I’m also into the ‘over weight’ category now.
I had a long plateau of not losing anything but it all seems to be working again so it worth sticking at it.
I might buy some bars to mix things up a bit. What bars can people recommend?

ThatsWotSheSaid · 07/07/2018 07:37

Ronny - I had tummy trouble at one point it passed in a few days.

Ronnyhotdog · 07/07/2018 08:03

Thatswot that’s excellent, well done! It’s good to be out of the obese category isn’t it.
Bars, I like the white choc & raspberry & chocolate orange the best. The toffee, nut and raisin & the chocolate caramel come a close 2nd.
Thanks for the info re stomach, hopefully it will pass quickly for me too.

DrOnWheels · 08/07/2018 15:44

Hi everyone I'm starting today on exante for the 2nd time. Put on 3 stone due to illness 5 years ago. Lost 1st7 with exante 3 years ago but had to stop it when my illness became worse. Now I am no longer ill, but have regained 5lbs of the weight I had lost. So now looking to loose that and the remaining ~2st of weight I originally wanted to lose. Joining this thread to stay motivated.

I tried the Exante HIIT workout 1 today - theres 5 workouts, one per day with 2 days rest during the week. But I'm so unfit I could only manage 15s (not the 30s suggested!) and did just two reps (not the suggested 4!) totalling a 10mins workout. Hoping this will improve over the coming weeks!

emzie78 · 08/07/2018 16:56

@thatswotshesaid fab weightloss well done.

Stomach cramps are very common on a keto diet due to loss of water with carbs maybe drink more water (is that's possible lol 😂)

@dronwheels good luck on your journey. I am sure you will do great. If you've only just started maybe don't do to much exercise for a couple of weeks, or until your body gets used to the reduced calories 😆

My weigh in is Tuesday and smelling everyone's bbq is making me starving 😂😂😂 I will be good.....the thought of a skinnier me is much more appealing!!!!

Ronnyhotdog · 09/07/2018 06:15

Week 5 weigh in and total loss is now 21lb. I’m over the moon. I have chronic joint disease and someone commented yesterday that they haven’t seen me walking so well in years. Made my day.
On to week 6.
Hello and good luck to new starters.
Well done to any losses.
Keep on keeping on, we can do this!!

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 09/07/2018 07:09

Well done ronny that's great

Wetdogloveshubert · 09/07/2018 10:31

Well done Ronny that's really fantastic to hear - you're doing brilliantly.

Emzie you're doing so well - keep it up! The thought of smaller you has to keep you going Smile

I've stopped the Exante diet full-time now; with under two weeks until my holiday I wanted to ramp back to normal-ish calorie intake. I'm going to use up what I have left over the next week or so so I'm not shocking my system too much, but I did fall off the wagon completely yesterday and have some ice cream and sweets (!)

Back on the wagon now, though. Skinnier me is so satisfying that I'm feeling good about maintaining for now. I'll go back on post-holiday and see if I can lose another stone. Four weeks on Exante and a 1 stone loss has made such a difference to how I feel and look at myself! It's shocking really, especially as I feel much sharper, mentally.

Thanks for having me on the journey with you all Smile

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 09/07/2018 12:54

I'm really struggling today. Just feel so hungry. Normally I'm having to remind myself to have a shake because I don't feel hungry for it but I just want to pick.

Trying to starve it off with a coffee

ThatsWotSheSaid · 09/07/2018 16:39

Weirdly I find if I have hungry days I lose more weight. Now I’m excited when I feel hungry because I view it at the fat trying one last time to get me to eat before giving up. Stick at it Minnie just think of yourself as a healthy weight looking great or being fit or whatever your goal is.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 09/07/2018 21:06

Thanks ThatsWotSheSaid

I hope that's the case for me. I've wanted to pick all day, I only had 2 mini cheddars from my dd plate. Considering how I've felt today I'm ok with that.

PenelopeFlintstone · 10/07/2018 01:20

I can't find the post on here but someone recommended the book Eating Less by Gillian Riley. Thank you, whoever it was! It has made me think quite differently about eating and what I choose to eat. I'm going to read it again as I did skim a bit, and it is quite a thin book, but is quite revolutionary. Thanks Smile

xxlala7xx · 10/07/2018 10:46
