Hello,
I was wondering how much weight u fellow vlcd people have lost in the space of 10 weeks. I am planning to attend a friends wedding in 10 weeks and am attempting to loose weight. I am abit 5 stone overweight so i am desperate to loose some weight using exante till the wedding.

paranoiamumma 18lbs in 3 weeks is amazing, better than I did in 3 weeks any way! It's taken me 9 weeks to lose 30lbs. Focus just on today, get through today and then do the same tomorrow and so on.

emzie78 · 29/06/2018 23:13

Hi All, I am currently on the Cambridge weight plan, hubby also. We are doing the sole source option, so 3 a day for me and 4 for dh. We have done 3 weeks so far and I have lost 15lbs and dh nearly 2 stone (typical he would lose it quicker Smile. Really pleased so far, losing now an average of 3 to 4lb a week which is great.

Week 2 was the hardest for me, I wasn't particularly hungry but was mentally craving things , I would crunch on celery to stop me wanting to eat the wrong things.

I tend to have bars and shakes for breakfast/lunch and maybe mac cheese for dinner. Hubby loves the soups so has those for dinner. To be fair all the products have been pretty tasty, alongside the water flavourings and veg stock drink this really helps throughout the day.

Mum is starting exante next week so I can maybe compare some of the products. Sorry for babbling on lol.......loving this thread

Good Luck to all on their weightloss journey xxxx

Itsmeaga1n · 30/06/2018 00:45

What is it with the exante website and their stock?! I can never get what I'm looking for.

Anyone got any caramel latte frappes they want to sell or swap?

paranoiamumma · 30/06/2018 10:03

Thanks guys I feel about better today although I think I have tonsillitis , I think I was probably over anxious about meeting new ppl being over weight ( I wish I had started this back in jan but I had so many big birthdays it would of made it difficult).
Anyway onward and upward ,
Best of luck to everyone else ,

I’m feeling crap today, I don’t feel like I’ve lost this week, my clothes all look crap on me. We are having a bbq today with friends so I’ll be making excuses why I’m not eating. I didn’t sleep very well so that’s probably making me grumpier than normal.
On a brighter note I can confirm the slimatea works a treat!
Have a great Saturday Grin

ThatsWotSheSaid · 30/06/2018 11:31

I’m a bit de-motivated at the moment. I lost 16lb in the first three weeks then I’ve only lost 1lb this week. It’s food week but I’ve only added veg, egg and quorn.
I haven’t felt hungry and to be honest I’ve struggled to eat 800cals. Not sure what’s happening but I’m looking forward to going back to 600.

Ronnyhotdog · 30/06/2018 11:52

It’s my food week too, I’ve been having egg, veg, bit of feta. I’ve had to force myself to them have 3 products to make the 800 up. I don’t feel I’ve lost. Should be my last day of 800 cal tomorrow but I’ve decided to go back 600 from today.

emzie78 · 30/06/2018 12:37

There's a really good page on FB called thyme 2 cook (i think) that has meal ideas at 200 calories (its for step 2 on cambridge) but I'm sure it would help for those on week 4 of exante

@ronnyhotdog slimatea can work really quick lol. Make sure you dont take it when you need to nip out Grin

Ronnyhotdog · 30/06/2018 13:02

emzie78 a girl I work with had the bootea and she said it was something to never drink at work, I think it was you who said it was just as good as that so I had it before bed. I was woken up at 5:30am!

IdLikeABiscuitPlease · 01/07/2018 18:29

So since Monday, I've lost 9lbs.

Let's hope this carries on for a few more weeks! Grin

Ronnyhotdog · 01/07/2018 18:59

That’s amazing, well done.
Bought some size 14 clothes today. I was going to buy size 16 until dh talked me into trying the 14s on and they fit woohoo. Hope I can get in a 12 before my holiday. That would be amazing xx

Ronnyhotdog · 02/07/2018 07:45

3lb off this week, that’s 18lb in 4 weeks. I’m at my lowest weight in a very long time.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 02/07/2018 09:41

Well done ronny thats great, how long till your holiday?

Ronnyhotdog · 02/07/2018 12:36

Thanks, it’s 5 weeks until we go away. I’m hoping to get another stone off before then. Dh is disappointed, he’s put weight on. He just can’t say no to beer when the footballs on!

Wetdogloveshubert · 02/07/2018 16:24

Well done Ronny! Getting back into smaller clothes is THE BEST feeling. I've only got a few more weeks until my holiday too, but want to lose another half stone if possible before then. Ambitious, but far more possible on this plan than calorie counting!

Huge well done IdLikeaBiscuitPlease - maybe time for a name change?!

UninspiringUserName · 02/07/2018 18:48

Oh wow, you're all doing so well. I had my first weigh in on day 6 and lost 6lbs, which I'll be honest, I was pretty gutted with as I've read so many posts where people have lost 9, 10, 11lbs in the first week and I'd got that fixed in my brain. So, I'm focusing now on my journey and what I can achieve, and 6 is certainly better than I've ever done on another more conventional diet.

Day 9 now, and I'm definitely getting into the swing of it. We had a busy weekend and I didn't stray from the plan at all, which I'm amazed at. And I'm feeling so much better - I know there's nothing more I can be doing than this, it's so extreme (Cambridge Sole Source, so just 3 pack a day), so the inner 'you are so fat and useless' narrative has pretty much disappeared. And I've discovered ice cold vanilla shakes with espresso as my breakfast. I'm in heaven!

The one thing I'm wondering is, is 600 cals too little to get decent losses? Is 800 better, or have people had the best results with 600?

Ronnyhotdog · 02/07/2018 19:14

I’ve been having 600cal a day, last week I did 5 days at 800 then dropped down to 600 again, I’m not sure it made a huge difference. I also lost 6lb in my first week. When I’ve tried other ways to lose weight, like say weight watchers, I’m a 1lb a week type loser. 6lb is great. Well done.

UninspiringUserName · 02/07/2018 19:22

ronny, thank you so much. Always good to know what others are doing and what they find works. And you've done brilliantly, and being at the lowest in a looooooong time must feel awesome. I need to get below 14st 2 for that - I was last at that weight in between my last two children, and that's my first goal. I'm 15st 10 now so a way to go...

Itsmeaga1n · 03/07/2018 01:55

I started on 24/6 but didn't stick to the diet plan very well, adding food in the evening which just increased in amount, so since Saturday I'm having 4 products a day and nothing else. I weighed this morning and I'm 5 lb Doreen so pretty happy with that. 2stone 10 lbs to go!

Itsmeaga1n · 03/07/2018 01:56

5 lbs down not Doreen !!!

Enneirda · 03/07/2018 11:26

Hello Smile A lovely lady directed me here to you guys. I've stated a vlcd using part exante and part 200kcal meals. Any tips to make it as effective as possible? I have 2st to lose to be down to my weight two years ago.

UninspiringUserName · 03/07/2018 18:20

Hi Enneirda, I'm only on day 10 so it's early days, but for me, it's focussing on one day at a time. Not looking too far ahead for and worrying about all the things I won't be able to have, and choosing instead to celebrate all the things I'll achieve. The hardest thing for me is making sure I drink enough, but the heat's helping there, at least!

Good luck, how are you doing so far?

Enneirda · 03/07/2018 21:03

Hi @UninspiringUserName I'm doing ok so far! I am having a shake in the morning, meal replacement for lunch and then a slimming works sauce with some kind of protein and cauliflower rice. It's equalling about 650kcals a day. I'm at the end of day 4 and I'm ok. Just a bit shaky. I did notice this afternoon I felt better though. I have pee sticks and an in ketosis so maybe it's that! Thanks for the advice! Good luck to you..sounds like you have it cracked!

emzie78 · 03/07/2018 21:31

4 week weigh in.....lost 3 1/2 lbs this week so a total of 18 1/2 lb. Super happy, if you had asked me a month ago if I wanted to lose over a stone in 4 weeks I would say definitely!

The plan is definitely easier the further along you get. Next mini goal is to get below 14 st (just another 8lbs 😀)

Well done to everyone...some great losses

Wetdogloveshubert · 03/07/2018 23:12

Well done Emzie! That's a fantastic achievement. I agree that it is definitely more comfortable the longer you stick with it - though it is dull, the results are so worth it.
