Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

No I know. I'll drink more later but as we're off out probably I know I might not have time. Normally I have a litre every few hours.

Rockchick1984 · 29/05/2017 14:29

I'm half a stone down so far! Officially been on plan for 12 days, but had a 3 day blow-out binge in the middle of it all so made up that I'm actually losing anything! Yesterday was tough as I was re-entering Ketosis I think (was starving, headachey and generally felt like crap) and it took every last bit of willpower not to order a pizza Blush but I managed to restrain myself!!

How is everyone managing to drink enough? I really struggle, have started drinking some herbal teas as they count towards water intake on my plan, but still it's no substitute for a coffee!

Msqueen33 · 29/05/2017 14:44

What about decaf coffee? I've been off and on all week. This week I'm making a proper effort as I hate the way I look.

Rockchick1984 · 29/05/2017 16:06

Decaf coffee is allowed but I like a latte so it means way too much milk to have more than one a day.

Saturn2016 · 30/05/2017 06:49

I'm starting today. 49 lb to lose!!! Shock

Msqueen33 · 30/05/2017 06:59

Hi and welcome @Saturn2016

Snap8TheCat · 30/05/2017 08:33

Have a good first day Saturn.

How is everyone else?

I think I'm sickening for something though my youngest was up the night before last the entire night and was up at 4.30 this morning. She's 4 for god sake who doesn't love sleep?! But I've had my first shake despite wanting to throw up.

How are you getting on?

Snap8TheCat · 30/05/2017 09:17

I'm doing ok, still having shakes at every opportunity. Did go to mum and dad's for dinner yesterday but I said no to pudding and back on it today.

I'm quite a lazy eater, I don't enjoy cooking and so I find the shakes suit me quite well.

I'm only just up! The toddlers both played quietly in their rooms this morning Confused maybe they're ill.

Anyway. Ill get up give them breakfast and mooch off to my mums.

I ended up over calories yesterday. I ate dinner because I thought I should, not because I was hungry. And that kind of kick started my appetite and I couldn't stop eating. I know that sounds weird.
.so today I'm hoping to eat as late as possible in the day when I'm actually hungry, then I won't start off this bloody appetite of mine.

I wake up fine. I don't feel hungry, plenty of energy. But as soon as I eat something it's like I can't stop eating more.

Msqueen33 · 30/05/2017 09:55

I find that. Once I start eating I can't stop. I'm also a binge eating. Which is why I'll stick with shakes for a while. I'm hoping having the kids home will stop me scoffing as they're normally doing something they shouldn't.

Snap8TheCat · 30/05/2017 14:21

Had a little exercise today, taken the kids out for a walk along the river, they brought their bikes. I liked it because it wasn't hot and they were well behaved! Home now and planning dinner for them, might just have a shake myself.

OP posts:
Msqueen33 · 30/05/2017 14:32

Well done on the exercise. I'm going to start walking more once the kids are back at school. I'm motivated as the trousers I'm wearing are tight around the waist and I refuse to buy a size up. I weighed in at 13'12 which wasn't a shock and better than I expected but I still hate being this big.

Saturn2016 · 30/05/2017 20:44

Well I have managed to stick to it 100% today. Hungry and had a headache this afternoon so going to go to bed early. Please tell me it will get easier?!

Msqueen33 · 30/05/2017 20:53

Hurrah well done. Yes it will get easier. I've done a 100% day at last. I'm hungry but I so so want to be slim.

Snap8TheCat · 30/05/2017 20:58

It definitely gets easier! Easy even Grin

One downside I'm now suffering- constipation Envy

Oh and massive kick up the arse- my starting weight is only 2lb less than DH's starting weight! And he's 7 inches taller than me Blush

Was actually about to start a different thread about that.

OP posts:
HerRoyalFattyness · 30/05/2017 21:08

Holy crap! I just weighed today. After gaining a pound yesterday and being 16 stone 5, I'm bang on 16 stone today! Yay!
I'm really excited as I could be below 16 stone this time next week. This is massive for me. Back in March I was nearly 17 stone Blush

I've been really good today and I'm just about to eat fried egg on toast. I haven't eaten yet today.

Msqueen33 · 30/05/2017 21:14

I've got a dry mouth. Which is good as it means fat burning is a comin' but it's irritating. Here's to the end of day one and roll on day two. I think once I've done a few weeks I'll get into the groove a bit more.

Saturn2016 · 30/05/2017 21:17

I've only been this heavy once before in my life and it was when I was 9 months pregnant Blush glad to know it will get easier though - thanks!!

Saturn2016 · 30/05/2017 21:18

Well done HerRoyal Star

CBG17 · 31/05/2017 16:33

I'm almost 2 weeks into my Cambridge/ASDA shakes 'journey' and all is going swimmingly.

I started out having 2 items (approx 400 cal) and 400 cal of low carb food each day, and since last weekend have dropped to just three items (600 cal). I have both Cambridge brand and ASDA great shape products. ASDA ones are soooo much cheaper and have a much more fake sweet taste but it's more than bearable.

I don't know why but have hardly felt hungry the entire time. Definitely no sickness feeling that I've seen others describe.

I have 4 (good) 5 (amazing) stone to lose, started at 16 stone even.

I only intend on doing the plan for a month and then going back to slimming world, but sticking more to the SP principles as I know it works and is more sustainable long term.

Today is 11 days in and I'm close to a stone lighter (11lb).

Msqueen33 · 31/05/2017 16:41

CBG17 That's amazing well done

CBG17 · 31/05/2017 16:52

Thanks Queen. I really am amazed at how easy I've found it.

For anyone interested, the ASDA bars (choc and white choc/raspberry flavours) are really nice and better than most of the Cambridge ones IMO.

Buxtonstill · 31/05/2017 17:29

Can i join please? i have been doing Optifast for two months. Lost 2 stone in the first 5 weeks, then it has slowed down to about half a pound here and there. I know exactly why. The evening meal has grown , from the handful of veg and salad I am meant to have, to 3 or 4 handfuls, with the odd bag of nuts, sausages and other protein bits. It is good that i haven't put any on in the last few weeks, but I am finding it hard to go that extra mile in the evenings and not stick to the regime properly. I am fine with the shakes, they fill me up, and I have cut the habit of snacking.
