Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

I'm doing ok. I've not yet stuffed my face despite being extremely stressed at my maths exam today! It was everything I didn't revise Confused

Snap8TheCat · 25/05/2017 19:40

Oh dear Sad well done on not stuffing your face though, it's emotional eating that's the worst.

I've been really good today food wise but not drinking enough water at all. Must try harder.

NutButterNutter · 25/05/2017 20:52

Starrrrrviiiing but I know it'll be ok in another couple of days. Also need to drink more...

Snap8TheCat · 26/05/2017 08:23

I'm feeling really good today! Sunshine is helping my mood and being hot and fat yesterday rammed home to me how horrible it being overweight in the summer.

Need to crack this!
Tempted to weigh in this morning. I did weigh in day 2 and appeared to lose 3.5lb but I don't actually believe that, possibly just one of those blips.

Will weigh when I get back from school run and fill you in.

Being hot and fat is awful.
I was at the nursery I volunteer in yesterday after my exam, and all of us were fanning ourselves, we even blocked off part of the outdoor area as the floor was too hot for the children. I was so hot and sweaty.
I've bought myself some 3 quarter length pants to wear to the nursery, and going to get myself some black sandals. We are allowed those. But not allowed long shorts Confused and own clothes days we can't show our shoulders. So no vest tops. Confused I'd understand if they were low cut but they aren't. And obviously no dresses. That one is understandable. But when you're wearing black trousers and a burgundy polo shirt you feel as if you're melting.
Anyway, yesterday I came on my period. Completely forgot I was due, so that may explain why I had put on some weight just before starting this and why I was craving junk food so badly.
I was after junk last night. So I had some but tracked it in MFP and stayed within calorie allowance.
MFP says 1800 a day, but I tend to stick to 1400 unless I'm really hungry, then I've got the extra 400.

Hello,
I've decided I've had enough of being big, and a kick start with a vlcd through June is the way to go.
I'm 14 stone exactly (so the Boots machine tells me this morning) and not as tall as I though I was (5ft6, not 5ft8) - so BMI of 31.6.
I have PCOS and have a pretty big build.
Have ordered some exante products and have slimfast for breakfast and lunch today. This weekend already has plenty of social events in it so I plan to just be better than I normally would be accept its not a vlcd weekend, I'll still use the replacements when I can.
After that we are seeing friends a week today and I'll take the Friday evening and the Saturday off but try to keep low carb and off red wine (on prosecco and g and t though ;-)).

After that it's a solid run into our holiday on 3 July.
14st seems to be the weight my body reverts to unless I'm pretty careful - and depressingly I'm there even with exercise and eating good food - I think portion size may be an issue, and I also need to accept that low calorie is going to be for the rest of time if I want to keep my weight down.
I think 11 stone would feel manageable in terms of maintenance, but the first target is under 13 for the holiday - and then on to under 12 for my birthday in mid August.
Good luck all!

Welcome Fred Smile

I've had a quick weigh and the scales say 245 so a loss of 4.2lb. I'm very sceptical though. I need someone to verify. Grin

The hunger is definitely subsiding so maybe I'm entering ketosis but the habit and need to physical chew something is very strong!

Hi Snap

When I've done meal replacement before (only short term previously) - I have missed chewing hugely.

Well done, I'm hoping for a little bit of a loss this time next week even with the bits of socialising (I mean eating and drinking really!) this weekend, and then powering on after that.

HerRoyalFattyness · 26/05/2017 10:08

How about chewing gum? Would that help with the chewing thing?

Msqueen33 · 26/05/2017 10:15

Right I need to get in gear. I've been on and off this week. Had a horrific week with my youngest and school placement for September. So I'm stressed to the max. I have issues with binging so I'm also trying to take control of that. Food for me is a way of life. I'm going to see family in a month and feel like a horribly fat weeble. So am going to aim to lose at least a stone by then. I'll still be fat. Just less fat.

Snap8TheCat · 28/05/2017 10:37

Everyone still working hard?

I had a day off yesterday as I went to a BBQ. Didn't drink alcohol though and am back on it today, looking forward to first official weigh in tomorrow.

How are you approaching the bank holiday?

Msqueen33 · 28/05/2017 10:52

Yesterday was rubbish for me but back on it today. I'm going to stick to shakes as anything involving food packs seems to go wrong for me. Had my first shake and have an hour until the next one.

HerRoyalFattyness · 28/05/2017 11:08

I had a day off too. Went to the zoo with the kids and wasn't going to sit around calorie counting so I just enjoyed the day.
Back to it today

Snap8TheCat · 28/05/2017 11:11

I agree about the food packs. Last year when I did Cambridge I was great in the beginning on the shakes, but as soon as I moved in to meals and bars I started wavering. I did too much of my own 'substituting' and eventually messed up. I'm going to try and stick to shakes instead for 12 weeks. Depending on my weight loss I will try and combine it with slimming world. Maybe.

I've had a couple of boozy days, but better in food than I would normally have been. There will be dinner tonight, but no drinking, lots of water and telly.
Will do a class tomorrow and stick to shake and bar for breakfast and lunch, and then we have an early dinner out and I'll low carb.
I need to find myself a hobby to fill time though. There may be soduku happening!
Well done all Smile

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 29/05/2017 00:44

I'm starting tomorrow. Been trying to diet for ages now and feel like I'm hidden behind a pile of blubber and slowly progressing to eating/lazing myself to death!

A few years ago I was a size 10 with a figure like Jessica Rabbit. I thought I was fat :(

HerRoyalFattyness · 29/05/2017 01:01

trip trap after the birth of my 3 and a half year old I waltzed out of hospital in my size ten skinny jeans. I thought I was huge because I wasn't back in my size 8s 6 weeks later.
After the birth of my youngest nearly 2 years ago I left hospital a size 20. I'm now an 18. I am huge and oh how I long to be back in my size ten skinny jeans!

Msqueen33 · 29/05/2017 01:05

It's so easy to gain. Now the weather is hot I'm sweating like an unattractive pig and it's too hot to hide in hoodies.

Snap8TheCat · 29/05/2017 09:11

Week 1 and my first official weigh day. I've lost 6.2lb, very happy with that. I know it won't be that much every week but it's a good motivating start.

OP posts:
HerRoyalFattyness · 29/05/2017 09:36

I've put on a pound Confused
I'm putting it down to my period. I'm actually shocked it's only a pound. I have been known to put on 5lb before now. Hmm stupid body.

Snap8TheCat · 29/05/2017 09:42

In that case it won't be far you've added, it will be water and that's super easy to get rid of. Drink plenty this week and it should fall off plus more.

OP posts:
Snap8TheCat · 29/05/2017 09:42

*fat

Msqueen33 · 29/05/2017 09:51

I've had my first shake today. I feel grossly overweight. I've also downed 2 litres of water. It's my period so sadly can't blame that for much longer.

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 29/05/2017 10:02

2 litres of water already Msqueen ?! Slow it down!!!!!

HerRoyalFattyness · 29/05/2017 10:19

That's a lot of water! I've only had 500ml!
