Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

I hope seeing the dietitian will help you holy. Tormunds - maybe get an app like fitness pal or carbs and Cals, so you can record your snacks?
I started full on again on Wednesday and have done well the first two days. I am working on sat so won’t have temptation at hand. 2 days down, 54 to go.
Have a good day everyone!

Juliecloud · 26/01/2018 09:15

Good luck holy.

I weighed myself today and I’ve not lost anything at all this week. I’m getting pretty fed up with this. I keep reading about people losing 4lb a week doing this but I seem to have stalled. I’m considering moving on to step 3 to see if that spurs on my weight loss.

Buxtonstill · 26/01/2018 17:00

Julie - google 'diet whoosh effect' the weight may be waiting to fall off drastically in the next few days. Just keep with it. Is anything looser?

Juliecloud · 27/01/2018 21:32

I am noticing stuff being looser. I’ve measured my waist and I’ve lost 6cm so far.

Buxtonstill · 28/01/2018 16:17

Hope everyone is doing ok. I have done 4 days on the trot, so hopefully back on the right track. For a treat today, I had a tray of roast veg. Onions, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, courgettes. Feel really stuffed. It’s so much harder at home than at work.

wintermonster · 28/01/2018 18:33

I'm struggling with Cambridge step 2.

I'm allowed 1 home cooked meal a day of protein and vegetables only.

But I'm realising after nearly 2 weeks on it how little is allowed on the veg list.

No carrots, no peas no sweet corn.

And what I am allowed is only 80grams a day which works out to about 5 Brussels sprouts.

Im finding it hard on the protein side too as it's only lean meats and white fish so no salmon or lamb etc.

I'm feeling a bit low today as I went to a party and I'm still no where near feeling comfortable in my clothes and sitting there with just a sofa water for the evening was really tough.
This weekend has also been full of family events with buffets full of stuff I'd love to eat (but have managed not to)

I have a wedding dress to fit into (once I buy one) so I need to do it, but I do keep wondering if it's worth it.

Next weigh in is Wednesday.
I'm hoping il be under 13 stone which should put me at just under 30bmi, but I'm not holding out much hope at the moment.

Im really craving a lovely glass of red at the moment.

Buxtonstill · 30/01/2018 11:46

This is going to take a little time. I know thats not what you want to hear; but give it three or four weeks more. You will feel so good about yourself. Sometimes dieting can have an effect on your mood at the beginning. Has your Cambridge rep mentioned this? I like courgette and cauliflower as part of my veg; with some plain chicken.

Juliecloud · 30/01/2018 21:54

I lost nothing today at my official weigh in Confused I know people talk about the whoosh effect but would that explain me not listing anything for a whole week? I’m so confused. I don’t know what to do.

user1468234673 · 31/01/2018 15:56

I've just signed up to LighterLife today, they have a bundle with £40 off and I got free delivery.

The group support is what I need.

My friends have had great results, hoping for the same!

Juliecloud · 31/01/2018 21:50

That’s great, hope it works for you.

I’m still on Cambridge step 2. I’m hoping for a better loss next week Confused

Juliecloud · 01/02/2018 08:05

I weighed myself this morning and I’m 2lb down since my weigh in on Tuesday! The woosh effect is real!

Tormundsbeard · 01/02/2018 20:51

Yay 5lbs off this week. Now down to 14st 11. Moving off Cambridge Step 1 to Step 2 , so I'll have one meal plus 3 products a day. Also bought a Step machine on eBay so will up my exercise. I have bought some size 16 trousers to slim into for summer. Feeling positive. Good luck everyone.

Juliecloud · 02/02/2018 09:43

That’s fantastic, what a great loss Tormundsbeard!

I’m going out for drinks tonight. Water for me Confused Grin

Buxtonstill · 02/02/2018 11:13

18st5. Down 10 lbs since Tuesday. That’s not the whoosh effect though, it’s the stomach virus effect. Really wouldn’t recommend it as a weight loss method though. Only thing I have had in all that time is sips of water. Even drinking half a cup of water made me throw up. Fantastic to hear everyone is doing well!

Oddsocks15 · 04/02/2018 08:22

user I’m considering LL myself because of the group support element, interested to hear how you get on this week

amusedbush · 04/02/2018 17:42

Hello all, I restarted Slim and Save for the 28462936th time today 🙄

I lost a tonne of weight last year with VLCD and SW but I had a relapse of my ED recovery over December and January and I've regained well over a stone in a few weeks Blush I'm going on holiday in five weeks and I'm desperate not to be sitting on the plane in jeans that don't quite fit, wishing I'd just gotten on with it when I had the chance.

I'm so upset with myself and really hoping to shift the better part of two stone between now and then (based on previous attempts).

Oddsocks15 · 04/02/2018 19:28

Just watched the channel 4 programme on catch up that featured the Cambridge plan.

I did Cambridge years ago and didn’t find my consultant supportive at all. Ended up quitting as I thought I’m paying for a service I’m not receiving.

As I said looking into lighter life as the CBT element interested me but it is expensive and I’ve read reviews that the CBT isn’t all it is cracked up to me.

Weighed myself this morning and I’m a whopping 14 stone 10 and only 5ft 3 Blush Blush

wintermonster · 07/02/2018 17:39

Week 3 weigh in and I lost just a pound this week.
12 pounds in total.
Still 2 stone to go until I reach a BMI of 25 which is I think is as achievable as it gets for me

Tormundsbeard · 08/02/2018 22:17

Thursday weigh-in and I have lost another 5lbs . Now 14 stone 6. Still on Cambridge Stage 2, but am doing more exercise. Definitely feel less fat - am still fat though 🙂

Juliecloud · 11/02/2018 21:28

I’m still plodding along with this. I’ve completely stuck at it and have lost just over a stone in 4 weeks. I weighed myself this morning and I’m 2lb down since my weigh in this week, so I’m hoping for at least 3lb off.
I can’t believe how much weight I am losing. I’m lighter than I have been in years. I’m starting to feel like I look ok now when I look in the mirror, rather than dreading what I’ll see.

wintermonster · 11/02/2018 22:24

That's fantastic @Juliecloud

I'm feeling really positive too, although I haven't reached a month yet.
I've lost 12lbs in total in 3 weeks and hoping to lose my first stone by the end of the first month.

I am sticking to plan (step 2)

I feel so skinny already (I'm totally not as I'm still a size 14/16 I think)
But I don't hate the mirror anymore.
My rings are comfortable again, my kneee high boots fit again, my knuckles are visible again, my boobs look bigger as the wait around my ribs has reduced so much.
Which also means my bras are comfy again and no longer dig in.

I'm only a third along the way I want to be, but it's happening and working

wintermonster · 14/02/2018 15:11

Week 4 weigh in today and I've lost 4lbs this week.

Total so far 16lbs!

So happy.

I've got 26lbs to go

wintermonster · 14/02/2018 15:12

To add - I've lost 14 inches in total made up from hip, waist and chest measurements.
But only 1 inch loss this week.
It must be coming off somewhere but I think my calves and fingers are a bit slimmer in the last week

Tormundsbeard · 16/02/2018 22:34

Well done wintermonster. Glad it is going well.

I was good for the first half of the week, then fell off the wagon and subsequently stayed the same weight 14st 6lbs.

Tormundsbeard · 25/02/2018 11:02

Down to 14 stone 2 this week. Still on Cambridge Stage 2. Have decided to go to hot yoga twice a week from now on. It definitely helps with toning and I sleep really well after a class, which in turn stops me snacking the next day.

How is everyone else getting on?
