Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

I thought I would report back on LL. Have been on it for 3.5 weeks & have lost 9.5 lbs so far. I eat one meal a day, pay around £55 a week for 21 meal replacements, plus the group counselling. Our counsellor is excellent; she doesn’t follow a LL script, but digs deep into our feelings to address what is driving the emotional over-eating. I probably spend £20 more a week on food, buy a pack of chicken thighs, veg & salad, piece of fish & eggs. No booze, just coffee & tea.

Is anyone still doing VLCD? I’m still doing Cambridge. I’ve had a few cheat meals/weekends, but I’ve lost weight most weeks. I’ve lost 2 stone in 10 weeks and my weight now starts with ‘9 st’ for the first time in 15+ years. I’m getting lots of comments on my weight loss. I feel so much better when I look in the mirror now. I’m nearly at my target. I’m dreading trying to maintain though!

emma6776 · 07/04/2018 21:33

That’s amazing Juliecloud. I started doing Exante yesterday. My aim is to get to 9st 10. Im currently 11st 4 which is the heaviest I’ve been since pregnancy (dd is 6 now so cant use her as an excuse anymore!)

cardoon · 09/04/2018 09:47

Do you guys manage to stick to 600 calories per day?

Dontbuymesocks · 09/04/2018 12:37

Hi all, I’m starting a VLCD today. I’m doing a mix of exante and slim and save products. I need to lose 5 stone so I have a way to go!

Pandaranda · 10/04/2018 08:36

Hi, I'm starting meal replacement shakes today. I have 3 stone to lose and need help staying on track!

Hope you don't mind if I join in here as I've never tried vlcd before it's always been slimming world, but it's such a faff and I'm a crap cook so I find it really hard!

Oddsocks15 · 15/04/2018 08:31

Can I join you? I am 5ft 3in and 15 stone Blush Blush I considering Lighter Life because of the group support and CBT. Interested to read your update moanranger

I'm starting exante next week and I know it'll be tough but I need to do something about my weight, it's just depressing me so much. I've done vlcds before, twice a few years ago, and they worked really well but I've just piled it on recently and cannot seem to lose it with Slimming world etc. I remember from the last time that the first 4 days are the worst , get through them and it all becomes much easier.

Juliecloud · 22/04/2018 22:46

I did step 1 on Cambridge for one week, which is 3 of their products a day and works out at 600 cals. I combined that with fasting 16:8. Then I moved onto step 2, which added in a 200 cal meal per day. I stuck to that for most of my weight loss.

Good luck everyone!

TyrionLannistersShadow · 26/04/2018 13:35

I started today with the Apple and cinnamon porridge which was grand. About to have the hot crossbun bar for lunch with a cup of black tea. I woke up with a dose of some sort so am feeling a bit miserable . Roll on next week when I'll be well in ketosis hopefully and feeling a lot better!

TyrionLannistersShadow · 30/04/2018 18:56

Is nobody else doing a vlcd ? Grin . I'm doing grand except the bars are giving me dreadful wind!

emma6776 · 30/04/2018 22:01

I’ve been sticking to 3 Exante products during the weeks but eat a either a nice lunch or dinner on Sat and Sun. I gained a pound on the first week but it must have been water as lost 6lbs the next.

TyrionLannistersShadow · 30/04/2018 23:01

Well done Emma . My weigh in day is Thurs so we will see. In recent years I've found it very hard to lose weight, so I'm not expecting great things, it's hard not to get jealous though when I hear of people losing 12 lbs on the first week! Never going to happen here Grin

MadamGrumps · 30/04/2018 23:47

How low is a vlcd?

TyrionLannistersShadow · 01/05/2018 17:01

The one I'm doing is 600 cals a day but there are options for 800 cals and perhaps more, I don't know. The one I'm doing puts you into ketosis which means you actually don't feel hungry on 600 cals, well no hungrier than normal iykwim . I'm a bit hungry coming up to meal times as usual but fine in between so you're less tempted to cheat.

MadamGrumps · 01/05/2018 17:14

Thanks for clearing that up!

emma6776 · 01/05/2018 19:24

I do 600 Mon to Fri and 800-1200 Sat and Sunday. If you’re doing Exante there’s a good Facebook support page x

MadamGrumps · 01/05/2018 20:56

I'm using Tesco meal replacement shakes and the usual 1200 just seems totally ridiculous so I've been 600/650 instead. I'm not feeling hungry so I just wanted to check it wasn't too low.

user1456956805 · 02/05/2018 23:44

Anyone doing lighter life?

TyrionLannistersShadow · 03/05/2018 07:27

First weigh in this morning and I'm down 4kg, that's 8.8lbs , which I'm happy with. I know other people have huge losses like 12+lbs but I never do so it's pretty much what I expected. Next week will be harder because it'll be a smaller loss but I'm determined to keep going. I'd love to lose another 10kg.

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 02/10/2018 22:22

How did you guys all get on?

I stopped posting because I fucked up ROYALLY...so I'm only 6lb lighter than when I posted my first stats!

Ready to give this another go...

springmachine · 02/10/2018 22:30

I stuck to mine for 9 weeks and lost 27lbs in that time.

I stopped weighing myself after that and decided to just regularly measure myself instead

I've stayed the same since about may, and have recently had a tummy bug so lost a bit more,

I weighed myself in a department store a few weeks ago and I was just over 11 stone so not far off my target.

I won't be going back on VLCD anytime soon, I was so moody.

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 02/10/2018 22:38

Fantastic loss though!
