Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

Definitely lots of water. I've drunk a litre this morning already and am following it up with a decaf black coffee chaser.

Msqueen33 · 23/05/2017 07:25

The warm weather is inspiring as I feel like a beached whale when it's warm

Bunniesncats · 23/05/2017 07:54

Snap - thanks for the tips. I read about drinking loads of water also heard about carb flu as they will be the main thing to cut down on - I am a bread monster!
Msqueen I'm the same yesterday was so hot I just felt horrid can't wear a skirt as the thighs rub together so much they could set my fanjo on fire! so spent the day sweating in trousers.
Roughly what cals are you all aiming for? Ive read between 500 and 800 but not sure.

HerRoyalFattyness · 23/05/2017 10:27

Good morning. Obviously I'm going about this differently to the rest of you. Mainly because I can't afford meal replacement plans. Not even exante (single mum of 3 on benefits, I have literally nothing spare. It took me 3 years to save up £600 to redecorate, and I still don't have a carpet on my stairs or proper carpet in the bedrooms kind of nothing spare Lol)
But I'm starting today. Yesterday was a fail as I was stressed and binged on food I didn't even want. My problem is eating when stressed or bored.
(I volunteer in a nursery twice a week, while I get my level 3, and we discovered yesterday that we had to shut down one of the rooms as some kids had smashed the skylights on the roof. Glass everywhere)

Bunniesncats · 23/05/2017 10:47

Herroyal I'm only doing shakes because I'm too lazy to plan my food Blush
I will get round to it though Smile

HerRoyalFattyness · 23/05/2017 10:55

bunnies Grin
I can plan and cook healthy meals. It's snacking that ruins it. I do well all day then eat another 100000000 or so calories in junk at night.

Msqueen33 · 23/05/2017 11:00

@HerRoyalFattyness I'm the same. I have two kids with additional needs and the stress causes me to overeat.

HerRoyalFattyness · 23/05/2017 11:28

None of mine have anything major, although I suppose technically they have additional needs.
My 8 year old has glue ear and has taught himself to lip read so I have to make sure he's paying full attention to me so he can see my mouth when talking to him,
My 3 year old is on a waiting list because we suspect she has selective mutism,
And my 21 month old is severely allergic to tomatoes.
And I'm waiting for funding to be approved for an autism assessment for myself so it's all fun. And despite all that I know a lot of people have it harder than me So don't feel I can complain. Which results in overeating.

Snap8TheCat · 23/05/2017 12:47

I've got a whacking great headache 🤕

OP posts:
Bunniesncats · 23/05/2017 16:36

My oldest daughter too had additional needs and we have loads of unbroken nights - which have led to the bread overload at 4 am. Also we live in what I call the golden triangle there are 3 roads out of my village and all of them lead to a McD's I am and have planned a nice healthy dinner then come time to cook I have thought sod it and ended up in one of the golden arches. This is my main habit to break Smile

Orlandointhewilderness · 23/05/2017 16:50

Ah I've done cambridge a couple of times. I have never done it long term but use it for a few weeks to get a headstart. For example, in 2012 I did the great north run. I found it really difficult starting training so lost a couple of stone in 3 weeks on cambridge and then trained. By which point the exercise was making a big difference.
The headache will pass! make sure you drink.

HerRoyalFattyness · 23/05/2017 20:42

I've done it again. Tracked every last calorie through my lips, made sure I was eating properly.
Had a difficult bedtime with DS2 (who is still up) and gave ordered pizza. What the fuck is wrong with me?! I can't even save it to have for tomorrow's lunch for the kids because of the babies allergy. Fucking hell.

Snap8TheCat · 23/05/2017 20:59

Doesn't mean you have to eat it? The money is spent anyway- you choose where it goes! Your hips or the bin?!

That's the type of talking to I try to give myself. It doesn't always work but worth thinking about.

Bunniesncats · 23/05/2017 21:03

snap that's a mantra I will save for my tough days.
HerRoyal Don't beat yourself up tomorrow is another day. Try and have some snacks like boiled eggs or ham prepared and instead of reaching for the phone reach in the fridge.
Good luck everyone let's keep going 😁

HerRoyalFattyness · 23/05/2017 21:25

I ate half a small pizza.

Ugh. I am uncomfortably stuffed now. I wasn't even hungry.

The rest is in the bin.

I think I'll come here Before ordering takeaway next time!

Snap8TheCat · 23/05/2017 21:27

I call that a victory! It could have been the whole pizza!

Do come back next time for that kick up the bum - that's what we are here for and I hope you'll return the favour.

Move on and don't stress about it now.

OP posts:
HerRoyalFattyness · 23/05/2017 22:47

That's very true! At least it wasn't all of it.
And of course I'll return the favour. As you said, it's what we are here for.

Orlandointhewilderness · 24/05/2017 12:13

How is everyone doing today?

Snap8TheCat · 24/05/2017 12:34

Not too badly, not feeling that hungry though I have nibbled a few times. Blush

I'm doing ok. Have drunk loads and eaten little Grin
Sitters coming tonight for my oldest daughter and my youngest wants to go to kfc. I'm thinking there will be nothing vlc so will probably have a shake before we go and just a drink there.... I only hope my willpower holds out.

NutButterNutter · 24/05/2017 14:51

Good luck bunnies

I'll be having some chips at tea time but I've not much else in so I'm going to be starving. Confused
Which isn't good when I've got an exam tomorrow morning and need to revise!
Argh. Might have to nip to the shop and find something.

AceholeRimmer · 24/05/2017 16:45

Good luck with all your plans! I'm starting 'shake that weight' ketosis plan on Monday (why is it always a monday!? Grin) I've done it before and it was VERY effective but I stopped due to pregnancy, where I piled it all back on and more. But the plan works.. Like with most of these, they work if you stick to them and fail if you don't, they don't "not work at all" like some people say.
The main thing I love about it is the regimentedness and not having to think about food!
Indiana Well bloody done, that's absolutely amazing. I'm thinking back to the start of January and it doesn't feel that long ago, and you were 6 stone heavier! It sounds like you were around what I weigh now so it's really motivating to know where I could be in Octoberish. Still a beast for summer but oh well Grin

Snap8TheCat · 25/05/2017 13:00

How are we all doing?
