@champagnecyclist I started with walking. I have a fitbit and decided to at least burn 300 extra calories every day and ditched a bit the snacks and random ice cream. I think i did that for maybe 6 weeks. Then I increased the excercise to maybe 500 calories but no major changes to my diet. December came and I ate as much as I liked but kept doing my 7 minute workout and burned at least 2300 calories a day by then i think i had already lost a stone (6-8 weeks into it). I didnt gain any weight in December (first one for me) and I started to the last bit of my daily walk. I think around one month later (maybe half a stone, hard to know) decided to change my diet. So now Mon-Fri I eat the following:
B- rice Crispi's with almond milk
L- bagel with cheese cream
D- I eat whatever but try to keep it under 600 cals.
For snacking I have one apple, one banana, a few cherry tomatoes here and there, prunes and Greek yogurt. I also drink coffee throughout the day (filter with skimmed milk).
My work out routine is a bit more extreme these days, but Mon-Fri I do strength excercise (preloaded on my fitbit), like 10 mins of dancing, and running! The running does vary as I do speed training twice a week and a mix of short/mid/long range runs the rest of the days.
On a good day I burn around 3000cals on a slow day at least 2300.
I'm not hungry for most of time (apart from PMS week) .
I've more or less reached my goal now (technically I'm still overweight!) But being a size 6 is kind of scary so I'd rather not push it!
I toned and lost weight at the same time, no idea how hard that is or not, but I'm still getting used to my new body it's odd but in a very good way!!
Happy to give any advice!
PS I'm also hypothyroid so I do have the odds against me :)
