Anyone 5ft 3in with 3 stone-ish to lose?

Hi Everyone

As is clear from the thread I posted last night, I am feeling really low at the moment - feeling completely unmotivated and at my highest weight ever. I'm desperately trying to find some motivation having spent most of the weekend in tears and hating myself. I generally weigh myself on a Saturday so having had a terrible weekend I'm hoping that if I really try to eat healthily and exercise over the next 5 days I can make a difference. I am just under 5ft 3in and 12st 3lbs :( I would ultimately love to be 8st 7lbs but just to be in the nines would make me really happy. Is anyone is a similar boat out there?

xx

For those needing motivation: you can do it! I think the key is to not let one slip up mean that the whole week goes to pot...
Yesterday, I met up with a couple of friends who I haven't seen for a couple of months and they both immediately noticed that I'd lost weight - it was lovely and great motivation to continue.

Hi guys
5ft 2 1/2 inches and I think 11 st 10. I am going to weigh on Monday as I am back to work then when kids back to school.

Comfort eating and illness has made me gain. I want to get two stone off or down to 10st.

I need to cut sugar & begin walking again.

MusicToMyEars800 · 19/04/2017 14:59

the problem is it's so much easier to slouch on the sofa, watching telly and pissing around on the internet and eating shit whilst drinking wine, than it is to get off the fat arse and exercise Grin don't know why I put the face cause it's not funny.. I've done better today, just need to resisit the night time temptations, which is where I fail, and I raid the cupboards, fridge and freezer and open the bottle of wine < sighs >

CaptainBraandPants · 19/04/2017 16:10

I'm going for a run when I get home.
There, it's in black and white, so I have to do it now. Grin

KRG13 · 19/04/2017 18:01

So today looked like this...

B. Almond butter protein shake
L. Cauliflower and garlic soup
D. Bacon, spinach, and cherry tomatoes

Umpteen black coffees and 1 litre water so far.

I'm off upstairs in a bit to check whether I'm size 6 yet

MyWhatICallNameChange · 19/04/2017 18:29

I went for a very long walk yesterday and today. Lunch was a Morrisons sub thin with ham salad, a packet of salt & vinegar sticks, and a banana. I did have an enormous ice cream but it was absolutely gorgeous and totally worth it!

Salmon stir fry tonight.

I have my weigh in tomorrow morning. I've been good and tracked everything so I'm hoping it'll show.

cheerylilthing · 19/04/2017 23:19

I didn't end up having any dinner last night so we had pork stroganoff & cauli rice tonight. I had 3 thorntons chocolates for dessert.

I ate out for lunch (the first time being low carb) & we chose a restaurant where they bring you different cuts of meat until you say you're too full (you have a toy that can be red or green to signal 'no more' or 'keep bringing it over') & I had a bit of pulled beef, steak & chicken as well as a corn on the cob, salad & what seemed to be a spicy ratatouille.

Snacks have been 1 chocolate & a bag of snackajacks (I was ready for dinner but DP wasn't), & breakfast was half a caramel latte.

I've done an hour & a half walking today too so hopefully that balances out the chocolate...

How has everyone else got on?

beela · 20/04/2017 06:44

I had homemade granola for breakfast, a ham salad roll for lunch, and Thai green curry with basmati rice for tea. No snacks, except for a plum when I panicked that o wasn't having my 5 a day! And swam a mile.

At work today so need to avoid the birthday treats that always seem to be on offer!

BakingWithPreSchoolerand6YO · 20/04/2017 08:03

Tracked everything yesterday and was under my daily allowance by 2 points. No sweets, no snacking. Upping the ante today by going for a run or gym depending on whether it stops raining here.

Have a good day everyone

CaptainBraandPants · 20/04/2017 08:22

Went for my run yesterday, so feeling virtuous.
Food and drink wise, had two coffees with cream for breakfast, chicken soup with flax bread smothered in butter for lunch and chicken curry with cauli rice for dinner. I made some low carb amaretti biscuits, so obviously had to try them out, so had four. Grin They are small, though and only 0.5g each. Also had gallons of water and a couple of fennel teas.

Hello - room for a (not so liitle) one?
5 ft 2 and 11 2. A few years ago I was a gold Weight Watchers member. It killed me though to be 8st 12. My body fought against it and my legs looked like twigs (still had c section overhang though - looked worse thinner) so aiming for around 9st 7.

Started yesterday. Doing vintage WW points as new ones don't work on me. I tend to lose 1lb ish a week so hoping to fit into my wardrobe by my birthday in July.

Like you OP I spent weekend so down trying to find something to wear. Had one final Easter egg gorge... I have a meal at Ask tomorrow so will stick to salad no dressing -fun!

Done it before - lost 4 stone after having twins so bring it on! Mind, I wasn't 43 then. It's even harder now....

Curiousrugbymum · 20/04/2017 08:37

It was going well yesterday until DH ordered us a curry...😩

Dlpdep · 20/04/2017 08:39

I'm in DLP at the moment so low carb went out the window when there was no hope of getting anything but mcd's. I've started with an omelette today though! Upwards and onwards!

IamRonnieBiggs · 20/04/2017 09:07

Went to a class last night where the trainer insists on taking lots of photos - very depressed about my shape now.
I won't give up though - more desperate to lose weight

BakingWithPreSchoolerand6YO · 20/04/2017 10:30

Ronnie I'd have hated that too. Though when I see a rare photo of me from a couple of years ago I'm glad that I can see a big difference, so the bad old photo serves a purpose - shows me how far I've come.

Just back from the gym - first time in a couple of months. I don't mind it when I'm there if I've got some food music to listen to, I just hate seeing the stick thin 20 somethings with perfect hair and skimpy outfits! I always feel they're looking at me and thinking "I'll never let myself get like that."

Need to go to the supermarket for a top up shop. Putting it off until I've done the afternoon school pick up (working from home) so I don't buy a load of sugary crap and spend the day munching through it. Got enough in for healthy lunch and a couple of cups of tea so I can't go astray.

MyWhatICallNameChange · 20/04/2017 11:03

I had my weigh in earlier and lost 5lb. Grin So pleased with myself, I tracked all week, we went on loads of long walks and I that ice cream yesterday was totally worth it and proves you can still have nice things!

I just have to remember not to reward myself with food and carry on tracking and moving.

I'm now 12st 5lb.

NakedFamilyFightClub · 20/04/2017 14:53

I weighed myself today and I've lost barely a pound. Though I'm going to actually buy proper scales instead of using the wii board I think. If I have to answer to the doctoral little asshole in screen one more time I'll throw something at the TV...

How are you doing @Gemi33? Hope you feel better...

Stormtreader · 20/04/2017 14:57

5' 4" and 15st 10lb here cries

HomityBabbityPie · 20/04/2017 15:00

I'm 5ft2 and 12st after having my DS. I've lost 1.5 st since January doing 5:2. It has worked SO well and I find it ridiculously easy to stick to which is seriously saying something as I have NO willpower.

Another 1.5 stone to go, preferably 2.

Middleoftheroad · 20/04/2017 16:41

Well done MywhatIcall Smile

I have eaten my dinner already and have 1 point left. will eat the new Metcalfe sweet and salty popcorn pack I bought in Tesco. 78 cals and 1 old school point!

Did go for a walk in park but exercise has no bearing on my weight sadly.

Clonakilty · 20/04/2017 16:47

I'd like to be included: I'm in the 34GG club as well! About 11 stone and 5'3" as well. I'd like to be 9 stone but my weight only seems to go one way!

MyWhatICallNameChange · 20/04/2017 17:48

I've got quite big boobs too. How much do breasts weigh? Because surely that should be taken into account. I'm going to weigh more with my boobage than someone with a small breast size?

Mine never get any smaller no matter how much weight I lose - I'm always a 14/16 top.

KRG13 · 20/04/2017 19:41

Evening all

B: Protein shake
L: Hard boiled eggs and spinach
D: Cabbage, leeks and sprouts done in a creamy sauce with belly pork

IamRonnieBiggs · 20/04/2017 20:05

So even though I am not losing lots (I don't like new WW) I just tried on my 3 pairs of holiday shorts which didn't fit.

1 now fits, 1 just fits, 1 too small still. I'd like them to be baggy 35 days to do it!!
