Anyone 5ft 3in with 3 stone-ish to lose?

Hi Everyone

As is clear from the thread I posted last night, I am feeling really low at the moment - feeling completely unmotivated and at my highest weight ever. I'm desperately trying to find some motivation having spent most of the weekend in tears and hating myself. I generally weigh myself on a Saturday so having had a terrible weekend I'm hoping that if I really try to eat healthily and exercise over the next 5 days I can make a difference. I am just under 5ft 3in and 12st 3lbs :( I would ultimately love to be 8st 7lbs but just to be in the nines would make me really happy. Is anyone is a similar boat out there?

xx

I too have broken the 11 stone barrier. I have gone from 13 stone to 11 stone when I last posted - and after a holiday where I was eating 'normally' but healthily, I am down to 10 stone 9 lbs!! (Think it must have been because of all the walking -and sweating- on holiday).

This has encouraged me to think not just that I will be able to lose the weight but it will be sustainable

Wow Aridane, fantastic! I've went back up to 11. Think all the bad eating when DS was sick caught up with me. Plus I've my period and I'm so bloated Sad
Back to 10st13 soon hopefully.

Well, Naked, at least you haven't exceeded your start weight and seem to be doing lots of exercise.

I need to up the exercise, not just because it helped with weight loss on holiday, but because as I lose weight my 'nice' firm fat (!) becomes this unappealing wobbly flab. I am hoping that as I lose more weight and I exercise, eventually there might be something vaguely toned underneath.

A bit dispiriting to look worse with weight loss when naked, at this stage - though clothes fit a lot better

No change since last week - still 10 stone 9lbs (from 13 stone earlier this year) - though pleased not to have put on as ate out quite a bit over the bank holiday weekend.

Family are commenting that face looks thinner and a couple of people at work have noticed flatter belly.

Just seen this thread. I have been overweight for years. Finally decided to lose weight after a hysterectomy in Feb. Am somewhere between 5 2 and 5 3. I was 11 stone 2 in April, and have been low carbing since May, and am now 9 2. Like many others, I want to reach the mythical 8 7! Until my late twenties I was nearer 7 stone, but I don't want or need to be that small. I don't think I could in any case.

Clothes fit better now, my dodgy knee is better, and this summer will be my first holiday where I don't refuse to take photos. I am going in the first week of August, and am hoping to get to get through the 8 stone barrier (so 2.5 pounds) by then. I fully expect to put some weight on during the holidays, but will hopefully not go too mad.

Good luck all in a similar position. It's tough going and boring sometimes, but totally worth it.
