Anyone 5ft 3in with 3 stone-ish to lose?

Hi Everyone

As is clear from the thread I posted last night, I am feeling really low at the moment - feeling completely unmotivated and at my highest weight ever. I'm desperately trying to find some motivation having spent most of the weekend in tears and hating myself. I generally weigh myself on a Saturday so having had a terrible weekend I'm hoping that if I really try to eat healthily and exercise over the next 5 days I can make a difference. I am just under 5ft 3in and 12st 3lbs :( I would ultimately love to be 8st 7lbs but just to be in the nines would make me really happy. Is anyone is a similar boat out there?

xx

Feeling good as I've had a healthy day today (just gotta stay out of the kitchen for the rest of the evening!!)

B: Green juice from juice bar at work
L: Salad lunch, banana, pear
D: Stir fry halloumi, with lots of vegetables and some cashew nuts, small portion rice. Apple and satsuma.

Feel a bit hungry now, but trying to embrace the evening hunger, as I know it means I'm cutting down and getting started. Will go shopping for more fruit and veg tomorrow.

Ellieboolou27 · 20/04/2017 23:47

3 days in and I feel I should be a stone lighter already!
Won't weigh myself until Monday though as I get get a bit obsessed with scales.
Sticking to 2 protein weight loss shakes and evening meal of low carbs high protein, daily calorie goal is 1200 until I'm out of the 13's

iamronnie I hate the new WW too, I lost over 50lbs with vintage WW ten years back, rejoined this year and gave up after a week!

munchkinmaster · 21/04/2017 08:37

I did my gym induction yesterday. WAs okay. Mainly looking at weights as I can run easily at home. Depends when dh gets home but plan is to run to gym and have relaxing swim while he puts kids to bed

kneesupfatty · 21/04/2017 11:10

I'll be happy to just stay the same this week as have had 3 meals/nights out and been hampered by a seasonal addiction to hot cross buns! But, I have been for a couple of 10k runs to try and balance things out...

NakedFamilyFightClub · 22/04/2017 09:30

I've bought proper scales and have instantly lost 2 lbs compared to the wii scales Grin I'm 11st 2lbs according to them, so the 10sts are in sight, it's good motivation.

I've really been kept in check by mfp, before using it I would have had some cake for dessert last night but I didn't want to go over my calories for not very good cake so had a pear instead though if it had been good cake it might have been more of a struggle

caoraich · 22/04/2017 10:27

Diet has been abysmal BUT I have been dragged outdoors by my scary personal trainer woman and she's coming again at lunchtime. I have to say it's significantly more engaging than the gym and I'm working a lot harder

HOWEVER, do any of the other enormous-norked of you have good sports bra suggestions? I have one brilliant one I got in the USA but am struggling to find something here that is both properly supportive and not like some sort of Victorian chest-binding mechanism!

Curiousrugbymum · 22/04/2017 11:39

Parkrun done, but cake consumed Blush

Sports bra - I have this one, its fab

Curiousrugbymum · 22/04/2017 11:45

Whilst thinking about boobs...having a proper fitting bra has made a huge difference to how I look in clothes :) If you have not done it already, get yourself to bravissimo for a decent fitting ! Very important for the small Of height and large of nork of us on this thread !!!

Littlepond · 22/04/2017 11:48

Hello
I'm 5ft nothing and at my heaviest was 11st3. I'm now 9st13 but I need to be around 8 stone to be happy so still a long way to go...

I'm doing weight watchers online at the moment.

KRG13 · 22/04/2017 11:58

Morning how's everyone doing

Speaking of norks, I should really get fitted but obviously I'm going to be significantly smaller soon (Grin) so I'll hang on

Currently eating brunch, which is turkey bacon on two slices of low carb seeded bread with grilled tomatoes and spinach

stitchglitched · 22/04/2017 12:02

Does anyone else keep weighing themselves obsessively? I've been stuck at 12st 1 the last few days and keep getting on and off the scales desperate to see a drop. Wondering if I should get DP to put them out of my reach (5ft 1) and only let me have them once a week!

Going for another couch to 5k run later. Will be my 4th run of the week one poscast as had a break last week as unwell. Think I'm going to repeat week one next week too though as finding it hard going on my knees.

Enjoying reading people's food diaries, I get stuck for ideas. Hope everyone is getting on well this weekend.

munchkinmaster · 22/04/2017 12:14

Lunch!
I'm fasting. I'm going to stick with this for a couple weeks and see. No lunch and I've made bolognese to have with courgetti.

It feels like a long time since Easter eggs.

KRG13 · 22/04/2017 12:19

I can get really silly with the scales given half a chance, so I restrict myself to once or twice a month

I also weigh in kilos as

a) it's like Martian language to me so until I convert it to stones I have no idea what it means and
b) I can never remember what I was in kilos last time Grin

Ultimately though, I always try to remind myself that no ones going to pick me up and cart me around so actually weight isn't that important- what matters is how I'm looking and feeling...But dammit I like charts and graphs and stuff!

stitchglitched · 22/04/2017 12:35

Ooh I like the idea of weighing in kilos as I have no clue what they mean! Good point about not focusing on weight, my clothes are getting baggy now which is a good sign.

munchkinmaster · 22/04/2017 12:40

I'm just so impatient. I want to be thin yesterday. That's one of the reasons it took me so long to lose my first stone as I was just so demotivated.

IlsaLund · 22/04/2017 13:08

Me too munckinmaker - I have to keep reminding myself I didn't become overweight overnight, it was a long process helped by steady sustained eating of unhealthy foods.

So I guess to lose the weight it will be a long process helped by steady decreased eating of unhealthy foods.

IamRonnieBiggs · 22/04/2017 13:30

Stitchglitched I am also stuck on 12 stone 1 - I neeeeeed to be in the 11 stones!!

stitchglitched · 22/04/2017 13:50

Me too IamRonnie! I'm being extra strict this weekend, hoping to see the number 11 by monday.

KRG13 · 22/04/2017 19:02

Evening all

Dinner tonight was salmon with mediterranean veg and a poached egg

Anyone 5ft 3in with 3 stone-ish to lose?
MusicToMyEars800 · 22/04/2017 19:46

caoraich I have a shock absorber sports bra, it is very good, but I would definitely recommend trying them on before buying though, as sizes come up a bit different.
I have been good and bad, am striving to be all good though.

Ellieboolou27 · 22/04/2017 22:14

Weighed in this morning as felt slimmer Smile 2lb down, so why did I eat 15, yes 15 marshmallows!!!! I don't even like them usually but it was all I had in the house Blush
All gone now so will crack on again tomorrow.

Soonbeslim · 22/04/2017 22:42

Hello, I'd like to join too please. I have a lot of weight to loose and am weighing in on Mondays. I haven't done one of these weight loss threads before but hope it will be motivating and help me focus!

It does seem a long road ahead at the beginning. planning on exercising and generally eating better, and picking up tips on here. None to share at the moment apart from how to steadily gain weight!

beela · 23/04/2017 07:21

I've got an underwired sports bra from bravissimo. I think it's a Freya one. After years of non-wired ones this is amazing.

I've just hit my 1 stone loss, so feeling happy and trying not to celebrate with cake Grin

stitchglitched · 23/04/2017 09:14

Well done beela!

Well I seem to have gained a pound this morning despite going to bed with hunger pains. At least I'm not 12st1 anymore! Hmm

KRG13 · 23/04/2017 19:39

Well done beela

stitch those scales are obviously faulty, never mind, ignore that weight until they show a loss and try again in a few days

Hope everyone has had a good weekend

B: turkey rashers, tomatoes and spinach on toast
L: large white wine at the pub Blush
D: roast pork and crackling with cavolo nero, broccoli, cauliflower and roasted radishes. Square of dark chocolate and spoonful of double cream for pudding
