Anyone 5ft 3in with 3 stone-ish to lose?

Gemi33 · 16/04/2017 18:29

Hi Everyone

As is clear from the thread I posted last night, I am feeling really low at the moment - feeling completely unmotivated and at my highest weight ever. I'm desperately trying to find some motivation having spent most of the weekend in tears and hating myself. I generally weigh myself on a Saturday so having had a terrible weekend I'm hoping that if I really try to eat healthily and exercise over the next 5 days I can make a difference. I am just under 5ft 3in and 12st 3lbs :( I would ultimately love to be 8st 7lbs but just to be in the nines would make me really happy. Is anyone is a similar boat out there?

xx

Me! Very similar weight and height, would love to lose it and get toned up and get rid of my (four years) post-pregnancy wobbly saggy tummy.

kneesupfatty · 17/04/2017 19:31

Me too! I've managed to lose a stone so far this year (started at 11st7), but still want to lose another 2 and a half stones as have a very small frame and don't carry extra weight well although do quite well putting it on . I was doing well, but I've found the Easter hols very disruptive to my routine and I now feel totally out of kilter and I'm struggling to get back on track! I tried the 5:2 for a couple of weeks, but I'm not sure that it works for me...so think I'll just go back to mfp, which was working fine and I don't really know why I stopped

flossyfloss · 17/04/2017 19:43

Me too! I'm 5ft 4, 12 stone 1lbSad I have 34G boobs!

I have just watched a documentary called that sugar film! Completely opened my eyes! I am definitely going to cut down on sugar!

UpOnDown · 17/04/2017 19:45

Me too! I'm 5'2" and 11 stone 13lb. I'm calorie counting, eating 1100 kcal at the moment, using mfp.

NakedFamilyFightClub · 17/04/2017 19:50

Can I join in? I'm 5'2 and 11st 6ish I think.

I really need to lose weight, I put loads on when I went back full time to a desk job.

I've started using myfitnesspal this weekend so hopefully that'll help even if I haven't recored all the chocolate I've eaten in bits and pieces and have been out for a cycle today.

I was looking at body fit videos on YouTube and am going to start doing those when the Easter holidays are over.

Aridane · 17/04/2017 21:05

Are we going to day weigh ins every Monday?

munchkinmaster · 17/04/2017 22:12

I'll weigh in on a Monday. Think that's a good idea.

I'm interested in the range of weights people on this thread aspire to be. I appreciate body shape, build etc make a difference but there are some folk aiming for 10 1/2 stones, others wanting to get to 8.

I would be delighted to get to 9 ish but think could be okay nearer 10 and perhaps that's more doable. Years ago when I was 8 -9 stone I was always dieting to get to the 8 stone. I think this weight would be impossible for me now and doesn't feel important to be this slim now I am no longer 21!

NearlyChristmasNow · 17/04/2017 22:14

Can I join too please?
I was looking for a recently started weight loss thread and was delighted to find one for 5' 3"-ers!
I'm 11st 7, plus whatever I've put on over the Easter holidays... Haven't faced the music yet, but I will tomorrow morning, and will report back.
Thanks for starting the thread Gemi, and I hope it helps you feel better and gives us all motivation to start/keep shifting those unwanted pounds and stones.

beela · 17/04/2017 22:18

munchkin I'm fascinated to know what everyone looks like! So many people a similar height and weight.

My goal is to be a healthy bmi.

moviebuff · 17/04/2017 22:20

Hello everyone - newbee here. Im 5"1 and 10 stones but have big boobs (wish I could just detach them from my body and after breastfeeling for 2 years, they are droopy as hell!) and the worst bit is that my stomach has not reduced much since I gave birth! 😫 I am hoping to get some encouragement and advice from you beautiful people x

Titsywoo · 17/04/2017 22:25

I'm 5ft 3 and am 13st 12.5. I was 15 stone a few months ago so am getting there but need to get my arse in gear to get another 4ish stone off. I'm just calorie counting and exercising (well I was but had two weeks off while the kids were off!).

Curiousrugbymum · 17/04/2017 22:28

5'2" here...another one with big boobs. I was in shock after hitting 10 stone a few weeks ago, my heaviest ever (non-pregnant!) and since then have been skiing existing entirely on cheesy food and rose wine so thinking the numbers are going up! Was not able to get into my work dresses last week, so time for action . I have never had to think about what I eat really but since hitting 40 weight has crept up from 8 1/2.

No scales at home so will get a baseline weigh in at gym tomorrow.

All my weight on my waist and norks

Curiousrugbymum · 17/04/2017 22:30

Joining in for positive tips and encouragement.

Imscarlet · 17/04/2017 22:45

5ft 2, 156lbs (so over 11stone), about a week into low carbing. I lost loads before my wedding nearly 10 years ago with low carb so hoping for the best. Also doing couch to 5k starting with a group next week so hoping to see some good results before summer hols.

Ellieboolou27 · 17/04/2017 23:20

beela in a classic Apple, slim legs huge stomach Sad when I get lower than 11.4 family usually start saying I'm too slim and to stop dieting, if only they could see the belly! My legs get so skinny and not in proportion to my middle section, weigh in on Mondays sounds good.

FreeSpiritWithin · 17/04/2017 23:34

Ellieboolou27 - I hear you! Its the same problem with me! The tummy juts out (Ive been offered seats in the tubes so many times, its so embarrassing!) while I have very slim legs!

kneesupfatty · 18/04/2017 07:09

Good luck to everyone! I was on the Common Sense Eating thread, which I found so motivating. Hopefully, this thread will be the same! Smile
I'm planning on a run this morning and I'm going to log what I eat on mfp.

WannabeHippyChick · 18/04/2017 07:28

Hi all, can I join you? I'm 5'6" & too scared to get on the scales but I'm a size 16/18 so have a fair bit to lose. Am a real comfort eater.

munchkinmaster · 18/04/2017 07:33

weigh in!

10 11
2 pounds on since thursday. Seriously my metabolism is so ruined I only need to look at a chocolate bar and I gain 1/2 a stone.

First fast day today!

RockyBird · 18/04/2017 12:47

Can I join in?

Starting today.

5'3" and exactly 13 stone. A 3 stone loss would be brilliant any more fantastic.

Holidays in July so would like 1 stone or more gone by then.

NearlyChristmasNow · 18/04/2017 13:23

Weigh in after Easter overindulgence - 11st 9lb

Thinking of summer clothes hanging in wardrobe- clothes are my main motivation.

kneesupfatty · 18/04/2017 13:31

Nearly Clothes are my main motivation too! Part of the reason I want to lose weight is that I am determined to fit into all my old pre-pregnancy clothes! I was between 8 and 8 and a half stone when they all fit, so that's what I want to get down to again!

KRG13 · 18/04/2017 13:57

Right 10st 7 as of this morning.

I'm planning on doing low carb/low cal for the next 5 weeks or so, until we go away at the end of May. Kind of like the Blood Sugar diet I suppose. After that, I'll forget about counting calories and just stick to low carb foods

I didn't have breakfast this morning, and lunch today was a few slices of rump steak with grilled peppers and cherry tomatoes in a low carb wrap

Dinner is going to be roast lamb leftovers with fried cabbage and leeks

MusicToMyEars800 · 18/04/2017 14:01

I don't weigh myself, body weight fluctuates all the time so I don't see it as productive, though it is most accurate first thing in the morning after going to the toilet. I go by how I look and feel ( which isn't great atm ) I have 2 pairs of jeans that are size 8, I fitted in them when I was pregnant with my 2nd dd but then put on loads of weight after having the implant in Sad I started losing a bit of weight when I was jogging and he more I dropped the more motivation I had not to eat shit, but all that went down the pan when I twisted my ankle and depression really doesn't help. I am trying to eat better though!

KRG13 · 18/04/2017 14:18

I'm not a great one for weighing either, I can get a bit silly about it so I try not to do it more than once or twice a month.

I need to up my exercise but I'm in that daft mindset of feeling like I need to lose a bit more before I can start Hmm I did buy that MuTu system ages ago, I might finally get round to looking at that tonight Grin
