Anyone 5ft 3in with 3 stone-ish to lose?

Hi Everyone

As is clear from the thread I posted last night, I am feeling really low at the moment - feeling completely unmotivated and at my highest weight ever. I'm desperately trying to find some motivation having spent most of the weekend in tears and hating myself. I generally weigh myself on a Saturday so having had a terrible weekend I'm hoping that if I really try to eat healthily and exercise over the next 5 days I can make a difference. I am just under 5ft 3in and 12st 3lbs :( I would ultimately love to be 8st 7lbs but just to be in the nines would make me really happy. Is anyone is a similar boat out there?

xx

I keep looking for updates on this thread for motivation Smile
I'm at work dreaming of dinner time!
rocky holiday in July too so want to be in the 11's by then

stitchglitched · 18/04/2017 14:25

Hi I'm 5ft 1. Currently 12st 1 after losing a stone in the last 6 weeks. I'm doing a mix of calorie counting, low carbing and just cutting out crap. If I go to bed hungry it seems to be a successful day! Also started couch to 5k a couple of weeks ago. I'm curvy, very big boobs, was 9 stone prior to my last pregnancy (3 years ago now!) Would love to get back down to that but right now would just settle for a healthy bmi again.

Curiousrugbymum · 18/04/2017 14:54

I am planning on just cutting out the snacking and the drinking...it is the work "birthday treats and cakes" that are my weakness. DH is no-carb so I just need to eat with him rather than sneaking slices of bread and butter constantly.

IlsaLund · 18/04/2017 16:03

I'm at the start of week 2 and I've lost 3lb so far. I've cut out snacks and walked for between 30 and 9- minutes each day.
I'm not anticipating the same loss each week but a downwards trajectory would keep me happy.
I have an event to attend at the start of July (11 weeks time) so as a first goal I'm aiming to be between 10 and 14 lb lighter by then.

Week 1 - 171 lb (12 stone 3lb)
Week 2 - 168 lb (12 stone)

so today i have had:
2 crumpets with butter for breakfast
a pack of pickled onion monster munch
an easter egg Blush well it needs to be out the place anyway.
and dinner will be beef in ale sauce with mash and broccoli
hopefully i can make that my last meal of the night.

How's Tuesday going for everyone? I've decided to go low carb after realising that it's one of the most effective ways of losing weight.

Here's my food plan for the rest of the week:
Tues - pork stroganoff with cauliflower rice
Weds - squidgy salmon fishcakes & celeriac mash
Thurs - turkey burgers & parsnip chips
Fri - chicken & chorizo stew
Sat - moussaka

I'm currently trying to convince myself to go on a walk too but can't decide whether to go on my own or pick DS up early & take him with me.

NakedFamilyFightClub · 18/04/2017 16:39

I've no scales, I'm working off what clothes I can fit into at the minute, but I've been out for another cycle today. Not sure if I'll get out again tomorrow so I'm limiting my Easter egg scoffing Easter Smile

cakeisnotaproperbreakfast · 18/04/2017 17:00

Room for another (not so little) one? I'm 5'2" and currently 10st 7lbs (ish, haven't weighed this week, was 10st 4lbs last week so allowing for Easter excesses)
Desperately want to get back into all the lovely size 8-10 clothes I bought when getting divorced a couple of years ago (terribly unhealthy & traumatic way to lose weight though!) 8st 7 - 8st 10 is my ideal weight.
I'm away from wed-fri this week so it might be challenging but I'm going to try low carbing and really go for it when I get home. I like the MM way of eating; 16:8 and med style food. I'm not happy at this weight, feel like a squishy dumpling. Am hoping the mutual support and personal accountability here will spur me on.

RottenTomatoes959 · 18/04/2017 20:37

Feel like I'm a bit late to the party but can I join too? 5 foot 3 (and a half) and about ten and a half stone. I have 117 days before bulgaria with two friends with ace figures. Don't want to be the fat friend 😯

IamRonnieBiggs · 18/04/2017 20:48

I didn't finish my dinner tonight! I think my stomach is finally shrinking

35 days until I go on holiday- wish I could lose 10 pounds!

Curiousrugbymum · 18/04/2017 20:57

Went out for dinner with DH and managed to resist pudding 😃I also powered through my work 4pm dip where I often fall prey to crisps or choccy. /

CeilingThomas · 18/04/2017 21:45

Curiousrugbymum you sound just like me :) my downfall is all the treats in the work kitchen. There's just sooooo many of them. I also finish the kids food if they leave it. I started slimming world a while back and was allowed 35 points a day. I started it one evening and added up what I ate that day and it came to 96 points!!! No wonder the weight is piling on...

IamRonnieBiggs · 19/04/2017 08:51

1 pound off today to 12 stone 1 - desperate for those next 2 pounds to come off

RockyBird · 19/04/2017 08:54

Doing MFP to track. I've finally got it to hook up to my phone health app. I've had 3 Fitbits fall to pieces on me so now I'm happy to use the phone to track. My plan is not to eat exercise calories though.

Not weighing until Monday (I'm a scales addict so that will be my biggest challenge)

marmitemadness · 19/04/2017 08:57

Long time lurker, delurking!

I'm 5'2" and currently weigh about 12st 10lb. I've lost almost 5 stone in the last 9m (I was 17st 6lb after having DC4 in July)
No dairy and low carb seems to be my thing, I have PCOS too so I struggle to loose weight easily.
I'd love to be 9st, but for now my goal is 10st

Bungleboggs · 19/04/2017 08:59

3rd fast day for me!! Weigh in tomorrow, hoping for 2lbs gone.

MusicToMyEars800 · 19/04/2017 09:58

I need motivation and support, I fell off the wagon last night and ate half a tub of salt and vinegar pringles and had 2 glasses of summer berries wine! my justification was that I did a 10 min brisk walk to work 3 hrs on the move at work and 10 min brisk walk home.
Today, breakfast: crumpets again. and on my 2nd cup of coffee.
last year I cut my sugar intake down I used to have 2 sugars now I only have 1. I am skint too so can't even get my new trainers til next week < sighs >

MusicToMyEars800 · 19/04/2017 09:59

also wanted to say well done Star for everyone who is keeping up the good work, it helps to give me motivation Smile

TelephonicsSuper · 19/04/2017 10:02

I'm too heavy for this thread :( but joining anyway as I'm the right height!

RockyBird · 19/04/2017 10:11

Telephonic I think there's quite a spectrum on here. The heights seem similar though.

It's good to be around people with the same shortarse issues. I'm also in the 34G club that a few others are in!

CaptainBraandPants · 19/04/2017 10:26

Telephonic you are not too heavy. Now, if you were 6'3", you might be too tall...Grin

TelephonicsSuper · 19/04/2017 10:27

I've got myself a Fitbit for steps, goal 15k as I do about 10k a day anyway. And I'm going to use Myfitness pal app on my phone to track food...

BakingWithPreSchoolerand6YO · 19/04/2017 10:31

Can I join?

5'2" and as of Monday weighed 11 6.

I want to get into a healthy BMI so next target is to get to under 10 5 and then reassess. I've got two DDs and want to be healthy for them, but also have a healthy and realistic body shape - curves are good!

Since Dec 2015 I've lost 2 and a half stone - gone from size 18 and 34FF to size 12 and 30GG but height and weight means I'm still medically obese. I've lost very gradually and have mostly kept the weight off, usual gain each month when period due but otherwise only gained a lb or two when been on holiday. This is a massive breakthrough for me as I'm not good at persisting with something I find difficult.

I stared by doing WeightWatchers, I really followed it at first but haven't been tracking for ages. I've been helping a friend who runs the session which has meant I've had to attend every week so I've kept an eye on what I've eaten and exercise, even though I've not been tracking. I've started tracking properly today, too many snacks and sweets have crept in. I still go to WW (hence the every Monday weigh in) and help there so I just need to actually follow the programme again!

I've got a wedding abroad to go to at the end of May, I'm the only one out of the people we're staying with who has had kids, so with the inevitably changed post-preg body - plus the weight I piled on after DD2 - I'm not looking forward to it! I'm hoping to lose half a stone at least before then which will help me feel better in summer clothes!

dietstartstomo · 19/04/2017 10:34

Please can I join too ? 5ft 5 and 13 stone 😧never been this big before . Think it's combination of my age 43 and less strenuous job now . I have previously tried s .w and 5.2 both worked when I stuck to it . Going to try the nhs diet 12 week plan, eat less and exercise more is the general overview of it with charts you can print out . Evenings for me a the worse time for snacking .

MusicToMyEars800 · 19/04/2017 11:26

RockyBird it is a pain in the arse having big boobs and being a midget and overweight is not a good look at all, my thighs are massive! I have always had the big boobs though even when I was slim ( my OH reckons they will go down when I lose weight ) I fail to see how that is when they have always been the same size and have not got any bigger through weight gain... sometimes I wish I could go away on one of those bootcamp things where you only have healthy food and made to exercise.
