Boop what amazing news!!

I actually slept quite well, woke up a few times but nothing disastrous. I'm more uncomfortable than in real pain, if that makes sense.

KikisDeliveryService · 04/02/2017 08:01

Pony I know what you mean about armour. Like Archie I'm enjoying the strength armour that comes from being physically fitter. Food (and booze of course) can easily act as a sedative, a comfort, but it's a double edged sword if it makes us uncomfortable and guilty.

While I'm pondering on the subject, I've just realised that I've had a positive week even though I haven't done anything particularly exciting. I've felt healthy, nothing has felt like an obstacle and life has been pretty good with no big ups and downs - just calm and nice. I also haven't had any alcohol and barely any sugar for 2 weeks. I think a connection is entirely possible!

KikisDeliveryService · 04/02/2017 08:05

lastqueen Look after yourself. Some blended lentil & veg soup might be the way to go. Yogurt could be good too. And regular painkillers of course! And lots of Netflix for distraction. Flowers

KikisDeliveryService · 04/02/2017 09:08

Weigh in = a few oz over my lowest Jan weight.

I'll reread my NSVs...

Stellar67 · 04/02/2017 09:12

May I join? Have lurked around but have booked a holiday for the first time in years so need to start working on wearing less than four layers.

7lbs a month is a good aim.

I start today :-)

Squiffy01 · 04/02/2017 09:28

arch long list of greatness for the day I think you win Star of the week!

27hrs at work and I'm finally on a bus on my way home.

Anyone got any exciting plans this weekend, I can pretend I have a life by reading yours Hmm

KikisDeliveryService · 04/02/2017 09:34

Welcome stellar! I don't seem to get anywhere with losing weight but this thread is very motivating for not giving up!

KikisDeliveryService · 04/02/2017 09:37

Squiffy wtf? Such long hours :( my plans all revolve around training and eating. It doesn't sound exciting but it's really fun working-on-getting-a-blackbelt training with my bff so one of my favourite things! We have some karaoke plans too 😄

Archduke · 04/02/2017 11:07

Squiffy WTF indeed. 27hrs! Have a Wine you've earned it. No exciting plans in this house - I look towards the youngsters on the thread for vicarious kicks Grin

Hello Stellar welcome, when is your holiday?

lastqueenofscotland · 04/02/2017 11:47

Been for a very gentle jog.
Sticking to liquids mainly still.

Off to see a friend soon to make my mind off things.

BitOutOfPractice · 04/02/2017 11:55

I'm going out for lunch with a friend. I was hoping to get loads done this afternoon but another friend is trying to persuade me to go to the pub to "watch the rugby" but I loathe rugby and need to get stuff done! Dilemma!

Thanks all.

Arch I'm going in July. So plenty time to plan.

I am going back to jogging after a long time of plantar.

Today taking dcs to cinema. Then some food shopping and hopefully an early night. I'm not very exciting I'm afraid.

Naughtysausage · 04/02/2017 13:51

Kiki a black belt? That sounds really worthwhile. Much better than trudging slowly round the same jogging routes!

I've just taken a grumpy baby to soft play for an hour. I'd quite like a large chocolate bar now. (I won't, I'll empty the dishwasher instead!)

hadtomakeanawfuldecision · 04/02/2017 14:21

Hullo,
Please can I join? 170cm and 70kg after losing a baby at 13 weeks a fortnight ago.
Moving back to the UK in 11 weeks so need to be slim in all my leaving photos.
I'be joined a bootcamp so will go a few times a week, have a massive pool that I am now allowed to use. So hot here that it is hard to walk anywhere but I have a Fitbit to try to incetivise me.
Just have to stop eating all the time. I'd felt so sick when pg that it was exciting to enjoy food again. But a baby free bump is not a good look.
Aiming for 63kg in the end but whatever I can manage in the meantime.
I'be enjoyed watching your progress in the last few weeks (lurker...)

hadtomakeanawfuldecision · 04/02/2017 14:22

lastqueen do you know about the risk of dry socket. Avoid using straws with liquids. I had two impacted wisdom teeth out last year. Not fun!

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 04/02/2017 17:00

Hi all :)

Meh, I forgot to weigh this morning. That's probably good though based on takeaway dinner last night. Though I did have a chicken shish kebab, so it shouldn't be toooo bad and a pack of mini creme eggs

Visiting a friend for wine tonight, but again I have come in under my MFP goal if not my 800. So I'd call that a good day :)

Hadtomake, I am so sorry for your loss :( Flowers

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 04/02/2017 17:40

Hadtomake Welcome to the thread! Sorry to hear about your loss Flowers

I have been to my bodypump class 💪🏼 and had quite a productive day running errands. However I was in Holland & Barrett earlier buying some flaxseed (good) when I saw that they had these chocolate bars in weird and wonderful flavours (bad). I spotted one that was a white chocolate with lemon and I had to buy it. I blame Hairspray! I can report that it is delicious though.

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 04/02/2017 17:46

White chocooate with lemon?!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 04/02/2017 18:07

It sounds really weird but it is very tasty! It's not the lemon drizzle one that Hairspray has, it is a different one with poppy seeds in. Very moreish the bar is almost gone.

lastqueenofscotland · 04/02/2017 18:15

Hadto sorry to hear about your loss Sad

Had some cheesy mash, not diet friendly but I was fuckin starving.

Squiffy01 · 04/02/2017 18:32

hardtomake so sorry to hear about your loss Flowers

KikisDeliveryService · 04/02/2017 19:17

Sorry for your loss hardtomake Flowers

Sausage These belt targets are very motivating! I honestly didn't think I'd ever be looking at getting a black belt when I started martial arts 3 years ago in my very late 30s. It'll make me feel a whole lot more legit as an instructor too!

Just had my stew and mash I was dreaming about this morning. So delicious. Also, I've only just learnt how glorious roast cauliflower is - you have to slow cook it for a good hour but then it caramelises and crisps around the edges and the middle melts in your mouth. It's a revelation!

Archduke · 04/02/2017 20:11

ugh, awake at 6.30 on Sunday morning after a night sleeping with poorly dd. Having a strong brew to get me going.

Welcome Hadtomake, I'm very sorry for your loss. We will support you all the way with the weight loss, but be very gentle with yourself, you have had been through a terrible time very recently, so please don't beat yourself up about food. It's only a bit of excess weight. Are you in the tropics? Bootcamp + pool sounds perfect.

ponygirlcurtis · 04/02/2017 21:21

hardtomake so sorry for your loss. Flowers

I have made Chardonnay's chicken and sweetcorn soup. It's amazing. How have I lived my life without creamed corn before now?

BOOP so glad to hear your good news. Fantastic! Wine

hadtomakeanawfuldecision · 05/02/2017 00:56

Thanks all. I am mostly cross with the world at the moment so exercise is quite useful to burn it off. Just finished my morning run in the, relative, cool: 26'c before 9am. Quite pleased as I was up all night with poorly DS who has an ear infection. DH scarpered to the spare room to sleep so he will be on entz duties today.
Now to have a good/golden Sunday. I have realised that I do best with a huge breakfast and then gradually reducing through the day. harder to manage on weekdays, I need to plan ahead. And not eat the kids' leftovers. Hard when eg crumpets cost nearly £1 each from M&S. Hope you all have positive Sundays
