heres to nailing another good day

HairsprayBabe · 03/02/2017 07:55

Good morning all!

11st 9lbs for me this morning, BIL is in town tonight so we are going out for dinner and cocktails with him so hopefully I don't undo my good work!

One down six to go

KikisDeliveryService · 03/02/2017 08:16

Good morning. No good news on the scales for me this morning but hey ho. Well done to those who do better!

Today I have learnt that there is nothing more joyless than trying to scrape out a tiny bit of green avocado from a mostly browning flesh. I gave up. Feeling grateful that the one I ate yesterday perfect, even though I thought both would be beyond ripe now.

My meals today are:
Breakfast - vogel toast with nut butter and banana.
Lunch - salad leaves, scraping of avo, big load of hummus, sundried tomatoes, cucumber, steamed broccoli, a sprinkle of mixed seeds and some oil-heavy garlic vinagrette. Apple.

It was meant to be a fast day yesterday but I ended up well over thanks to meals involving eggs, avocados and nuts so it was really just a low carb day in the end! 16:8 today.

TVHubbyClaire · 03/02/2017 08:34

Im hoping to complete my 5th 16:8 day in a row although strangely feeling more hungry today than other mornings and that was after eating a bit later last night

just like kiki nothing exciting on scales this morning. 13st O 1/4

Im not putting on but want to see that 12st some day soon. Fruit and soup for lunch today and fish for dinner (no doubt with a wine or two)

No 16:8 tomorrow, I will have a good start with a walk or two with DS and maybe a porridge treat in Pret but its football and beer from late afternoon as I catch up with a friend so I guess weight will head back up before another 16:8 week hopefully repairs the damage..........Confused

We are off to a hotel next weekend for 3 nights and that will truly trash the good habits and then another night away including dinner out with DW the week after.

Sigh...Getting to 12 something in Februaty is going to be a challenge

Not2bObvious · 03/02/2017 08:47

Friday weigh in shows 1.4 down to 11.6.2 from yesterday's 11.7.6, delighted but of course now at the danger point - weekends are disastrous for me. I'll just have to put a decent effort in so I see the same numbers (but preferably less😉) I'm desperate to see a new stone number like lots on here. Very elusive the 10's are

BitOutOfPractice · 03/02/2017 09:44

Morning. Loving everyone's steely determination.

I'm down 1.8lbs on my 1 Feb weight. Pleased with that. Got a quiet weekend planned so hopefully I can stay in track though I have woken with a stinking cold.

Morning everyone i'd like to join you

I started January 5th 15st 5lbs and weighed in on February 2nd at 14 10 so a 9lb loss. My goal now is to lose half a stone per month to get to my first target weight of 12 stone by June 29th when I go on holiday

I'm 5ft 7 so a nice size 14 at 12 stone and will see if I can readjust my target when I am there....Im a bit older now so don't want my face to go scrawny Smile

ArseyTussle · 03/02/2017 09:58

Morning all. Scales up a bit here today, but I had a very carby day yesterday so I'm ignoring the reading and cracking on.

Soft. Don't worry about looking daft running. I'm 14 and a half stone, (15.1 when I started losing weight in January) so am quite the spectacle trotting down the street in my fluorescent jacket. I honestly don't care though. Other runners know how hard it is to get started, and anyone who thinks I look ridiculous is most likely full of self-loathing and guilt for not getting fit themselves.
My pelvic floor is also sometimes a traitor. My tip is very dark patterned running tights. I have some 90 Degree ones in a lovely soft material (I think they might be yoga tights actually) and they don't show the occasional lapse in pelvic concentration.
Do it! You'll feel so much better. And think of us on this thread who are also pounding the pavements.

ArseyTussle · 03/02/2017 09:59

Cross posted with Lady, hello and welcome to you!

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 03/02/2017 10:09

Morning all :)

Had a little loss this morning, but not sure what of it is from alcohol. Finished my bottle a bit fast, so had an extra glass, but still within my MFP calories so happy with that :) :)

teaping · 03/02/2017 10:18

Morning ladies,

Happy Friday!! Star

I have finally shaken the half pound so I'm back where I was last Friday at 11 stone 1. I was really hoping to be 11st for when I try on my wedding dress tomorrow but never mind. I've got 8 weeks til the alteration appt so I can still shift a bit of blubber! I'm 10lbs away from my target!

Thank you all for your encouragement.

Welcome lady!

Well done arch - great news on your loss and that walk sounds gorgeous!

Squiffy poor you!! Stay strong though. I hope you don't have to work over the weekend.

Don't be frustrated Kiki and tv, fingers crossed you're in for a whoosh!!

lastqueenofscotland · 03/02/2017 11:14

So good to see so many new faces (well... Names) on the thread.

Welcome all!

Usermuser · 03/02/2017 11:48

Can I join please?
Weighed myself 18 days ago after desperately trying to ignore the fact that none of my clothes now fitted. For the first time ever, I was overweight -11 stone 8. Meaning I had gained about 3 stone in 18 months! I blame moving in with my partner and eating takeout and chocolate and pringles all the time.
I've lost 10lbs since then but really want to get to around 9 stone and tone up a bit. 7lbs a month feels relatively doable and you all seem so supportive on here. I think I've realised that this has to be a lifestyle change now as I just can't eat the junk I used to and stay slim.

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 03/02/2017 12:52

Lunch - 1/2 avocado, 1 egg scrambled with butter, 4 cherry toms and a babybel = 277 calls

lastqueenofscotland · 03/02/2017 13:04

Just had my last solid meal until Monday evening...

I'll let you all know about the effectiveness of the wisdom tooth diet!

BitOutOfPractice · 03/02/2017 13:23

Hello usermuser. That's how I got fat. Being happily settled. You are very welcome to this lovely Slenderista thread

I had a big "fry up" at brunch o'clock. Including a chicken sausage which was actually quite nice. I'll be skipping lunch now.

Hello Please can I join in? I would love love to lose 7lb this month. I was doing slim fast last month and lost 10lb but now I am bored of that and going to start calorie counting. I had really good success with that last year but took my eye off the ball and gained 3 stone back. Which is ridiculous. I'm determined to get back to my happy weight and then stay there this time.

ponygirlcurtis · 03/02/2017 15:22

Hope it all goes well last.

Hello Steward, welcome and well done on losing 10lbs already!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 03/02/2017 15:23

Hello newbies!

LastQueen I hope everything goes ok!

I have had a fairly golden week food-wise if not exercise-wise. I am still struggling to get to my 10,000 steps and I have been rushed off my feet the whole week and had no time to go to bodypump. I am planning to go to a class tomorrow morning though, so hopefully that will redeem me a bit. I also forgot to weigh myself this morning! So it'll have to be tomorrow.

ArseyTussle · 03/02/2017 15:47

Oh god, I've had two pieces of chocolate today. Boot me back on track please. This is where dieting has failed in the past, when I've thought, "I'm losing weight, I can just have...".

Aargh.

Softpebbles · 03/02/2017 16:41

Arsey step away from the chocolate.

May try a moon cup! Thanks for the tip.

Nightmare evening. Going to friends who has got cheese and fresh bread in for supper and wine. Confused

AugustRose · 03/02/2017 16:54

Arsey Oh that's my problem, I felt so good last year that I started to eat too much again and I didn't put anything back on to start with. It was like - oh this extra muscle is really burning off these cakes/biscuits - it's all fine.

Thanks for the advise on carbs and yes a hot drink does help reduce the hunger, thankfully walnuts are my snack of choice at the minute but then I eat too many of those too Blush

Had a good day, yoga this morning and lots of housework and clearing out, it always makes me feel good to through crap away!

Hope you all have a good weekend.

lastqueenofscotland · 03/02/2017 17:04

Well that was awful! Tucked up on the sofa with the telly on now. Got some jelly in the fridge...

Usermuser · 03/02/2017 17:51

Thanks, B.O.O.P. It was being happily settled for me too, but also being with someone whose eating habits were much worse than mine. I think we met in the middle and he got much healthier and I got much fatter.

Steward, we sound similar. We've both gained 3 stone and now managed to lose 10 lbs of it. I'm expecting weight loss to slow down a lot now and just hoping I can keep at it even when the scales aren't moving fast anymore.

ponygirlcurtis · 03/02/2017 18:30

Oh last Sad. Get the jelly and the painkillers down you. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Arsey two pieces of chocolate won't hurt as long as you don't eat the whole bar. Cup of tea instead?
