I don't think she would mind doubling up on one, I have five, so when I have cocktail parties I don't have to wash out the creamy ones before making a cosmo or something. I will check though, sneakily in some way, might text her boyf.

The Works had a load of interesting cocktail books in when I last popped in so im going to pick one up from there later, and possibly one for me too.

I am a bit of a cocktail addict really, I got a vintage cocktail trolley for Christmas that I am slowly stocking. I was born in the wrong era!

QuimReaper · 16/02/2017 11:28

User well done on the stone, do the stone dance now!

And TV excellent result after your weekend away. I'm with BOOP, get those shoes on and just go, even if you just do 15 minutes it'll fill you with resolve.

QuimReaper · 16/02/2017 11:30

You have FIVE cocktail shakers, that's incredible! In that case definitely go for it!

I'm in serious envy of your cocktail trolley. I'm planning one of those globes which you open to reveal a secret stash of liquor. We were both born in the wrong time, although I was also apparently born in the wrong body and job, as am clearly the secret alcoholic moustachioed librarian in the war office Grin

HairsprayBabe · 16/02/2017 11:39

OMG! I want one of them too! No space currently in my tiny house sadly, one day though!

Yes five Grin I was considering another to be honest Blush I have all the paraphernalia, all the glasses measures, muddlers etc... I don't even drink much to be honest I just like the idea of having it all to hand, plus I throw about 8 cocktail parties a year which I think justifies it!

ArseyTussle · 16/02/2017 12:04

Ah yes, a typo. Blush

Apparently I WAS looking trimmer.

ArseyTussle · 16/02/2017 12:09

Sorry for being a thicko, but don't you need to wear a swimming costume under short board shorts, because the legs are baggy?

lastqueenofscotland · 16/02/2017 12:11

Hairspray I think you are my age... You sound a lot more grown up than me with cocktail parties, the last party I had involved me and my flat mate buying like 9000 bottles of gin and some oven pizzas... On a Wednesday
I was on great form at work the next day...!

HairsprayBabe · 16/02/2017 12:25

I have wanted to be a 32 year old 1950's housewife since I was 3 Grin I Like playing house a lot. But I am very far from being a real grownup, I regularly spend all of Saturday in my pajamas and the state of my washing basket is to be ignored at all times!

But I two friends over on saturday just before we headed to the horrible hen-party and they mentioned I am always so calm and together when entertaining and that they could never pull off evenings like mine. I really enjoy it so it is no strain Grin Got to be organised though! I love a list!

Usermuser · 16/02/2017 12:37

Thanks BOOP and Quim! Don't think I'll be doing a stone dance anytime soon. I've been weight lifting again, that seems to prevent any enthusiastic capering. Maybe a stone shuffle would be possible.

Arsey, I don't wear a swimming costume under the shorts. But maybe I've just been inadvertently giving everyone a bit of a show... I might start wearing bikini bottoms underneath.

lastqueenofscotland · 16/02/2017 12:56

In my head I'm still 19... Sad alas!

BeyondUnderthinking · 16/02/2017 13:18

Saving calories for wine tonight, so had one of my emergency slimfast's for lunch. Not setting a positive example today!! Grin

TVHubbyClaire · 16/02/2017 13:36

Quim...sooo funny, how can I not to do exercise today after encouragement like that?

I will try and do gym visit or run a bit tonight.....

QuimReaper · 16/02/2017 13:48

User some form of celebratory dance is compulsory! A soft-shoe shuffle will do this time if you're too crippled by weight-lifting to manage a two-step, but at the rate you're going you'll be in for another dance in no time, and then I want to see you in my human pyramid Grin

HairsprayBabe · 16/02/2017 14:05

Yes congrats user now get dancing!

Just found out I have gone over my overdraft limit plus I dropped yogurt on my tshirt... ffs this is not a good day someone pass the Gin

FreeNiki · 16/02/2017 14:17

So all that punishing exercise and over the last week I have lost 0.2kg. Sad

I am pre menstrual and my boobs are sore and double the size they should be so hoping its water weight.

Plus points: I used to have love handles (creases of fat down my back) they've gone completely. My stomach is flatter and my thighs are firmer.

The body trax machine at the gym no longer categorises me as obese because of a high body fat, I am noe standard with normal amounts of fat and muscle equally.

I just wish I could see more on the scales.

TVHubbyClaire · 16/02/2017 14:37

niki I was always told that muscle is heavier than fat so whilst you build muscle with all the exercise you are doing then you might not see huge weight loss initially but will look and feel better.....sounds like that is happening so well done youSmile

HairsprayBabe · 16/02/2017 14:40

Niki are you sore from the gym? Tired muscles hold onto water or something, I am sure Quim said something like that before

FreeNiki · 16/02/2017 14:43

My thighs are killing me. I am not doing anything today. Just sat in the jacuzzi with the water jets aimed at my thighs.

Stellar67 · 16/02/2017 15:41

Niki that's some working out. Well done.

I don't really want to say I went to the gym for an hour now. But I still feel good about it.

5 cocktail shakers? And a trolley. I'll have a dirty martini please Grin

FreeNiki · 16/02/2017 16:38

I now feel remorse for not having gone and done much today.

BeyondUnderthinking · 16/02/2017 16:49

I don't understand what's going on here. I'm down 17lbs in total so far, yet still wearing the same size clothes. Wtf?!

No before picture, but this is today....

FreeNiki · 16/02/2017 17:11

Clothes have a massive range of size and weight range.

I lost 6kg (13lb) last year when I was ill and wore the same clothes and they just fit looser. Going down a size would have needed a hell of a lot more weight loss than that.

HairsprayBabe · 16/02/2017 17:22

BIWI of low carb boot camp fame recokns that a dress size is 10lbs, it could be because you are taller Beyond
Or, were your clothes tight before and now just fit you better?

BeyondUnderthinking · 16/02/2017 17:23

I guess it will at least save money with new clothes for my holiday...

I'm taking about seventy head-shot selfies atm Grin - I think my face does actually look thinner. Or I'm seeing what I want to!! Not gonna share them though Grin

BeyondUnderthinking · 16/02/2017 17:24

I don't know hairspray, I'm not sure if they feel any different. Actually, my new bras are too big, I'd forgotten that.
