Hi all

Off to work shortly but checking in to say I'm down 1.4kg so far this month, only got 2kg to go to reach my original goal Shock.

Sorry to hear some of your are ill, hot toddies and mustard baths all round.

Boop good to hear you're back on the horse, I am well jel of your 7km run. My running mojo has run off, I did a really long walk yesterday - nearly killed me and our 10 yr old beagle but the puppy was still bouncing along. Kiki sleep, rest, exercise, fresh air, deep breathing, mindfulness and NOT catastrophising are all good for anxiety, and also all of Hairsprays wonderful list. I'm very sorry you are coping with such a stressful situation, one foot in front of the other, make sure you can talk to people in rl and on here if you're finding it too much x

KikisDeliveryService · 15/02/2017 22:26

Arch Not catastrophising is excellent advice, thank you. Nothing has even happened yet but a change of circumstance just made my whole body bristle and fly back into panic-anxiety mode, which was a wholly unnecessary reaction. I am usually pretty good with self care, I was just caught off guard earlier and it made me think I need to have a way of dealing with that. Thanks to all those with kind and helpful words for me, it really helped me out today Flowers.

I favour the tankini top with board shorts too for swimming. There were some dark times (in December) when the board shorts were too tight and I was forced to wear the stretchy tankini bottoms but they're almost ok now.

Archduke · 15/02/2017 22:49

kiki I'm a terrible one for leaping to doomsday scenarios. I had CBT years ago and I still repeat the exercises I was taught them about not catastrophising (sp?) when my mind hurtles to the worst possible outcome.

QuimReaper · 15/02/2017 22:59

Well done everyone, sounds like a lot of gold all round Star Bloody good job on the 7km BOOP and the snack-free evening Stella!

You poor thing Chard that is so frustrating - as BOOP says though, the hormones'll be to blame, you'll see a whoosh, mark my words!

I'm signing out with a calorie count of about 250 Confused Had two hard boiled eggs, a couple of mouthfuls of cauliflower cheese and about a million cups of tea, glasses of tonic water and Day Nurse tablets Sad

Tomorrow I am going to wake up CURED, y'hear me? CURED!

BitOutOfPractice · 15/02/2017 23:01

You'll be like Lazarus quim. A veritable miracle! Impressive fast day though!

QuimReaper · 15/02/2017 23:01

Niki what makes you think there's a "too much"?

That sounds flippant but I'm serious Grin I'd say as much as you can fit in without busting your muscles or losing the will to live! You sound amazingly fit and active, I'm tremendously jealous.

QuimReaper · 15/02/2017 23:02

To be fair, it was an impressive fast day but I barely moved throughout it except to get more drugs and liquids and then pee it all out again every twenty minutes Grin

I managed to get under 2000 steps in on Monday Blush

FreeNiki · 15/02/2017 23:51

Because over exercising causes micro tears in muscles and you need time to recuperate apparently.

Yesterday I did Pilates and body pump.

Today I did synergy hiit for 30 mins (high impact interval training class. Then swimming for 20 mins. Then a 45 mins circuit training class then a 30 minute stretch class.

I now think my legs are falling off.

Archduke · 16/02/2017 00:29

Far out Nikki that is a lot of exercise. I'm no sports physio but I would def say schedule in a test day now and again.

Archduke · 16/02/2017 00:30

Rest day obv

Well done though!

lastqueenofscotland · 16/02/2017 07:33

It's hard when it slows down isn't it,

Three golden days and the same weight still bored of 9st 12 Angry

willhazboz · 16/02/2017 08:25

Hope everyone is feeling better this morning.
I had a bad day yesterday. But don't think my nose is broken on the plus side. Just bloody painful!
Lastqueen although I am quite ALOT heavier than you I have lost weight before and tbh it has been impossible for me to go lower than 10st. Just keep plugging away. You must be looking and feeling really good now so try and enjoy that and not get too hung up on the scales.
I have a friend coming to visit tonight. I am meant to be doing good...has anyone got any ideas. Usually we have things like nachos or pizza. But really would like something that is reasonably low calorie/low carb?

HairsprayBabe · 16/02/2017 08:30

Morning Senderistas,

11.11 this morning, very nearly undone the damage from the weekend, but there is another one just around the corner! I don't know how that happened. I am supposed to be going to a cool hipster dining club tomorrow, but it is all outside and carb filled plus I have the weekend of many wines in front of me to I might call it off I am determined not to start next week any higher that 11.10.

We will be in deepest darkest gloucestershire and we are planning on farmers market, long country walks, good homecooked food, many wine and a cheeky cooked breakfast in the morning. We are all 25 or very nearly, and I am the baby of the group, I am so glad I kept in touch with my old school friends I am really looking forwards to this weekend!

Feeling much better had a nursery tea last night, cheese omelette, and (low sugar) baked beans! Was real comfort food, on plan too!

BeyondUnderthinking · 16/02/2017 08:35

Morning all :)

Golden day yesterday, but stayed the same this morning

HairsprayBabe · 16/02/2017 08:43

will

Hi - didn't see your post sorry!

low carb nachos
Cauliflour Nachos
Low-carb Pizza
another low carb pizza
cauliflour pizza

Not sure how much time you have though! You could do a baked camembert with a bit of bread for your friend and tonnes of veg sticks for something low carb?

Or the golden option a nice big salad with some chicken, beans dressing (on the side) cheese the works, plus bread for your friend?

TVHubbyClaire · 16/02/2017 08:45

I am so impressed by all the exercising taking place on this thread, 7k is fab BOOP and all the other daily gym and walking sessions must be burning off many calories.Smile

I did get my Loch Ness achievement badge from my Withings step counter which says I have walked 100km since starting with the device so that was a little boost

I am really struggling to get motivation for proper exercise though.....I have a 10k in May and a half marathon in August to train for and thus far total miles ran in 2017 (and Q4 of 2016) is a big fat zero....Angry

On the plus side I didnt put on quite as much weight as I feared last weekend. Weighed in this morning and at 12st 13 1/2, so I have stayed in the 12st bracket which I have to say I am quite pleased about........

Usermuser · 16/02/2017 10:22

Finally hit the first target of losing a stone today. It's taken a month and fell off the first few wks but definitely slowing down now.
Hope everyone is having a good, calorie-deficit day. I hope that now the days are brightening up, it'll be easier to think of summer which should be motivating.

BitOutOfPractice · 16/02/2017 10:24

Now to push on down through those 12s TV Why not just get your running shoes out today and just go! Go on, do it! You'll feel so much better when you do!

I have my day planned food wise. I've had mushroom omlette for breakfast. Home made pepper soup for lunch. And I have sticky garlic chicken in the slow cooker for dinner with sweet butternut squash "squaffles" and salad for dinner. That comes in at 740 calories so I have a little room for something nice. I will just be walking today for exercise. I don't think my knees will stand another run after my exertions yesterday

BitOutOfPractice · 16/02/2017 10:25

usermuser well done - that's a significant milestone Star

ArseyTussle · 16/02/2017 10:30

Morning all, thanks for the thoughts on delayed gratification, bikini lines and board shorts. Will give all three some consideration.

Ran this morning and feeling motivated. Had a semi NSV yesterday when a friend told me I wasn't looking trimmer but she already knew I was dieting.

HairsprayBabe · 16/02/2017 10:42

I tried on my bikini from last year as I am just about to book my summer hols and the bottoms fell off. Completely off! Makes me feel better that I haven't ruined my diet just by having a social month of basically maintaining, although there is still half a month left...

I have a high waisted bikini that still looks cute fortunately as it was bloody expensive! Looks like I will have to purchase some new swimwear, times are hard... ha

I am still to try squaffles boop we dont have a sainsbos near to us.

Also I need to buy a housewarming gift for a friend, is a cocktail shaker and cocktail book a decent gift? I know she loves a cocktail!

BitOutOfPractice · 16/02/2017 11:06

Hairspray that's a lovely present.

When you said your bottoms fell off I thought of this - which you are undoubtedly too young to remember

"All my clothes fell off!"

OP posts:
HairsprayBabe · 16/02/2017 11:09

BOOP I literally have no idea what that is Grin ahaha!

Oh good, I hope she likes it, she bought me a lovely cake slice and stand when we moved that now sits sad and cake free since this diet, looks pretty though Grin

QuimReaper · 16/02/2017 11:19

Had a semi NSV yesterday when a friend told me I wasn't looking trimmer

I do hope that's a typo, otherwise you need new friends and a slightly higher bar for a NSV Grin

Hairspray that's hilarious and superb! I was hoping to wear a bikini for basically the first time in my life on my honeymoon. I've now moved the target to my trip to America in April. Got my eye on a high-waister to conceal carby American indulgences...

Re: the cocktail shaker that's a lovely present, but by dint of being a lovely present it's quite a popular one, so I'd check she hasn't got one already! If not then just the book could be good, there are so many, my sister got me one called "Tequila Mockingbird", all the cocktails are plays on literary titles.

BitOutOfPractice · 16/02/2017 11:19

It's Kenny Everett playing a character called Cupid Stunt Grin. It was the 70s. Different times
