That means my BMI is just a smidge under 31.5

My first aim is to get my BMI to 29.9 Grin

BeyondUnderthinking · 12/02/2017 10:29

That's about 12 pounds

ArseyTussle · 12/02/2017 11:46

Thanks all, you're right. The key is not to be discouraged isn't it? Today I've run about 5.5k and taken DD swimming, all on a banana and about 1.5l of water, so it's a golden day so far!

FreeNiki · 12/02/2017 11:56

Ive slept in and missed my gym class :(

BeyondUnderthinking · 12/02/2017 12:48

Ah bugger :(

I'm just having lunch - chickpea curry with bulgar wheat bean salad. Having to make random meals with what is in the house Grin

ponygirlcurtis · 12/02/2017 13:00

Yaaaay Beyond! (My phone keeps trying to autocorrect you to Beyoncé!)

That's a shame Niki, can you do something else? Although maybe you needed the sleep.

I am going to Ikea and have forced myself to have lunch before I go as I would normally have the fish and chips but I made the mistake of looking up how many calories - over 700! Shock Roast chicken and veg it is then.

BeyondUnderthinking · 12/02/2017 13:13

I'll settle for Beyoncé Grin

Here's my lunch...

Note to self - never, ever weigh at the weekend. Apparently Wednesday is the best day. I'm sticking with that rule from now on. Children have run me ragged this weekend and I have been stress/comfort eating on the hoof.
Tomorrow is another day...

BitOutOfPractice · 12/02/2017 13:30

My weekend is a disaster too. After the cookery school / tasting last night I am now in a proper Black Country pub drinking ale and they've just come round handing out pork pie Confused

Millie04 · 12/02/2017 13:42

Bitoutofpractice - sounds like a proper Sunday afternoon. Maybe go for half a pork pie?? 😉 enjoy it though! We should always be able to have fat days in amongst the lean days!

FreeNiki · 12/02/2017 14:22

Yes I can do pilates and use the treadmill. And make up for it with bodycombat tomorrow evening.

QuimReaper · 12/02/2017 14:35

Oooooh BOOP how was the cookery?

Millie I don't weigh until Friday if I can help it, put as much distance between the weekend and the scales as possible Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 12/02/2017 16:21

It was fab quim. It was more of a demo. We sat around drinking wine watching the chef cook. Delicious food. This was the picture he posted on twitter of what we ate

On my way back from a weekend at mums. Think I limited the damage fairly well. I'll
Weigh tomorrow and be 900stone tomorrow now...

BeyondUnderthinking · 12/02/2017 17:43

I had my 'treat' for dinner again :) bowl of semolina pudding with chocolate spread and hazelnuts. Still come in at just over 1100cal for the day, so that's a win :) :)

Stellar67 · 12/02/2017 18:09

BOOP that looks wonderful!
Quim I also weigh in on Friday.

I have been so lazy this weekend. Including with eating. Snacking to stay awake. Will be sorting myself out again tomorrow.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 12/02/2017 18:20

I cracked and fell off the wagon yesterday. Victoria sponge, a few chips, biscuits, spanakopita and baklava. Blush However, I have decided to do 1:6 - i.e., 1 feast day and 6 fast (800 cal) days. I also had a gin and some wine.

I feel bloody terrible today, though. I am having IBS type symptoms, put it that way! I had scrambled eggs for brunch and felt vile afterwards, so I've just had some toast to see if it helps. Not yet it doesn't, anyway! All in all, that's probably no more than 500 calories for the day.

BitOutOfPractice · 12/02/2017 18:41

I'm also way off the wagon. We are just contemplating the pub for dinner Confused

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 12/02/2017 19:58

I fell off the wagon BADLY too. I did go to bodypump yesterday though so that is something. Anyway, onwards and downwards, I am hoping for a golden week this week!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 12/02/2017 20:01

Also can I blame my DP for my downfall this weekend? He made lemon meringue pie and I love lemon meringue pie.

Squiffy01 · 12/02/2017 22:14

I've been avoiding you all this weekend and was too ashamed to come on and tell you all how badly I have done with my food. It has gotten me so down.
I am drawing a huge line though. I have logged my meals on MFP for tomorrow and packed my bag for the gym tomorrow night, I can not give up. I'm hoping for golden days until Friday when I'm out to dinner then back on it again Saturday.

Squiffy01 · 12/02/2017 22:16

Sorry forgot to ask about soups.
I am going to try the chicken one someone posted but am after some more recipes. I have tried a couple of the hairy dieters ones and not likes them to eat every week.
I love pumpkin soup when I'm in Australia and the chunky vegetable Covent garden one over here but would love to start making my own. Ideally vege but not bothered if it isn't.

BitOutOfPractice · 12/02/2017 22:52

Squiffy don't hide. We have all been there. In fact, some of us are there right now. Flowers

FreeNiki · 12/02/2017 23:55

I ate 2 chocolate bars and 3 french fancies in one day last week when I felt shit.

We've all done it!

I'm not going to restrict my diet so much now as it leads to me binging.

hadtomakeanawfuldecision · 13/02/2017 02:11

My Favourite soup: -also a chicken one- 2-/ Super easy to make when I was in the Uk. Sainsburys and Waitrose both sold a soffrito base (chopped onion, celery and carrot). I would sweat and soften in a little olive oil. Then add chicken thighs (no skin) and brown them. Pour over cold Marigold/kallo bouillon from cubes and bring to a gentle boil. Summer 15 minutes and then take meat off the bone.
I used to make a bacon (fry a few lardons) and butternut Squash (buy frozen and pre chopped) soup.
Where we stayed for Christmas did fab soups every night. I really enjoyed one with watercress, spinach and a little milk. I have a resolution to try new soups.
