quim Naughty yogurt AND fruit and nut mix. I know how to live!

Collective Dairy - big tub = 550 calories for the mango pot, (same again in fruit and nuts I expect). Yep I scoffed the lot. I am powerless once I start eating it. It's not on my personal banned list but it's one of my favourite foods even though DH said it smelled of cat piss

I am too grumpy to read the positive things on the thread but normal Kiki service will resume tomorrow no doubt and I'll be back to cheerleading and waving pompoms for all.

Softpebbles · 09/02/2017 20:25

After eight yog/mousse here. Not even that nice TBH.

I hate Thursdays. Emotional eating kicks in that as a single working parent I am responsible for everything. I am tired and ready for the weekend.

Sorry grump over!

Archduke · 09/02/2017 21:03

G'day your rippers!

I'm up a bastarding 0.5kg. Or 1 whole kilo from my lowest last week. FFS. Stupid stupid biology. AF in in residence so I'm putting it down to her .

Clothes are weird aren't they . . . yesterday I wore some narrow white trousers and a slightly floaty t shirt top and looked slim. Today I'm in a frock and I look fat. All on the cut of the clothes. Am sticking with the frock though as it's as hot as Hades again and I am limited on smart work clothes that are cool (temp cool not funky cool unfortunately).

Archduke · 09/02/2017 21:06

Softpebbles have some Flowers and Gin.

How old are your kids, are they of the age that they can do things for themselves? Or are they at the stage when you have to do everything and you are the house slave? Regardless, it's bloody tough and you deserve a medal.

ArseyTussle · 09/02/2017 21:24

Travelling a lot today and forgot the packed lunch I made so my day's grub has been:
1 croissant
1 scone
1 pack of Doritos
1 Tracker bar

I feel I should finish it off with a green leaf and then turn into a beautiful butterfly.

BeyondUnderthinking · 09/02/2017 21:37

Not had a great exercise day today, only halfway to step goal and haven't done my Pilates. But been in bed since 2pm.
On the plus side, I have eaten under 1000 cal :)

ponygirlcurtis · 09/02/2017 22:10

Me too on the lone parent front Soft. I usually find by Thursday I am done in and the wine gets opened. Be kind to yourself.

Arsey Grin Tomorrow is another day.

I am having a very odd topsy-turvy eating day. Planned a fast day with no lunch but a big dinner but was starving when I got home from work so had a big lunch of scrambled egg, gammon and veg. Effectively wrote off the fast. Went to have my usual Thursday gin (see, Soft? Grin ), bit later than usual as I had been on Skype, and realised that I hadn't had dinner yet. And I didn't fancy it at 9.30pm. I wrestled with myself for a good few minutes then put the gin away! Made myself a small snack of ham slices spread with houmous and have come to bed. Unheard of! Calories for the day under 700, fast achieved after all. This new stone bracket has a lot to answer for...

QuimReaper · 09/02/2017 23:28

Beyond how come you were in bed at 2pm? You OK?

Arsey that made me laugh a lot Grin You WILL be a beautiful butterfly! If only that were how eating binges ended in real life...

pony WOW! Gold star here! Star

Stellar67 · 10/02/2017 06:39

Well done everyone. Grin

I'm not a single parent but my DH works away a lot. I usually don't mind but this week the dcs have been unwell. On top of work nonsense and car problems I am looking forward to the weekend. He's not back for another week and a half.

Anyway I'm 1lb down so far so thank you for the support. Holiday body starts here.

ArseyTussle · 10/02/2017 07:21

I didn't think that was too bad given that's ALL I ate, the old me would have had those things as snacks between meals. Grin

lastqueenofscotland · 10/02/2017 07:25

Back in the 9s! By about a gram but it all counts.

Got a golden day planned today, even going for a run in my lunch break.

BeyondUnderthinking · 10/02/2017 07:57

I'm okay quim, just hit a tiredness wall! Slept til about 7, woke up and had my dinner, then went back to sleep at about 11 :)

Not sure which weight to count as a "start" as it's been all over the place, so can't really say how much ive lost. But I am at a low point (just) since the beginning of December, so very happy with that :) :)

HairsprayBabe · 10/02/2017 08:09

11.9 hurray! Now to keep going over the weekend!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 10/02/2017 09:43

10.12.75! Creeping downwards!

Grin at Arsey the Hungry Caterpillar.

I am craving a sesame seed bagel. Kids asked for them, and I had to make them, and neither of them have actually eaten said bagels, which are sitting there in their buttery bagelly goodness wafting temptation at me. So. Hungry.

HairsprayBabe · 10/02/2017 10:00

In awe that you can make bagels Cheddar!

My bread making attempts have always failed spectacularly. How do you even stop it sticking to the tin!

Really want some bread now...

I just remembered something my best mate told me when we were 13 approx 12 minutes ago she said if you think about the food you are going to eat an hour before you eat it it prepares the digestive system and helps you lose weight Grin No idea where she got it from but we spent a considerable time in our teens discussing food for an hour then eating it so our digestive systems were "fully prepared" Grin and we retained our svelte figures until we went to uni so it obvs worked HAHA Grin

ArseyTussle · 10/02/2017 10:14

Fuck, if that's the way it works my system is in a perpetual state of readiness for an entire packet of Orange Club biscuits.

Somo · 10/02/2017 10:23

Hello ladies,

Well done for all the successes this week. I'm 2lb down so far, but the weekend is always a killer (and we're going to friends for dinner tonight - trying not to eat much before then!), but am hopeful that I can balance tonight's over excesses out tomorrow and Sunday! Been a rubbish week for exercise so far. Must go for a walk!

Hello Archduke, Morris, Stellar67, ponygirlcurtis, SpuriouserAndSpuriouser, TooExtraImmatureCheddar (sorry for anyone I missed out - so many messages!) - I can't believe there are so many 5'2"ers on here. If you don't mind me asking, what is your target weight? Feel like I am so body-dismorphic at times that I can't work out what is reasonable or not!

Onwards and upwards! Time for some work - and a walk with a bit of luck! Good luck with today!

Somo

Usermuser · 10/02/2017 10:24

Well done, Stellar, Last, Beyond, Hairspray and Cheddar. And anyone else I've missed! This thread moves fast.

Kiki, I hope your ankle has got better.

I do find this thread massively helpful so thank you to everyone who posts on it. I really think just reading through it everyday and knowing other people have the same highs and lows has helped me stay on track better than I ever have before.

We got some body composition scales yesterday and I really wish we hadn't. I've lost 0.9 lbs since Tuessay, so at 5 foot 7, I'm well and truly in the normal bmi range, but my body fat is 34.5%! I was horrified! Metabolic age is 14 years older than my true age. Euch. Weird because I walk and cycle a fair bit. I hope they're inaccurate!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 10/02/2017 10:33

Hairspray, I don't make the bagels from scratch! I meant I have to toast the bagels and butter them for the kids! I wonder how hard it is to make bagels, though - I love bagels!

Somo, my first 5'2" goal is 9 stone 11, because that's the top of the healthy BMI range. I'd like to get lower than that ultimately, though - 9 stone has been my ultimate goal for about 8 years! Never got closer than 9 stone 6. I mean, since I moved in with DH, adopted his terrible eating habits and stopped walking everywhere because he had a car. I was 8 stone at one point in uni.

ArseyTussle · 10/02/2017 10:35

Blimey User, that's discouraging. How are you supposed to shift fat but not weight?

I wonder how accurate they really are, compared to those whole body scan things that you have to wear a cat suit and bathing hat to get into.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 10/02/2017 10:35

When I was 20 my friend and I spent months putting either cayenne pepper or Tabasco on everything we ate because we read that it helped you lose weight. I was 8.5 stone at the time.

ArseyTussle · 10/02/2017 10:37

Somo, I'm 5'4" and aiming for 10 stone, which is in the middle of healthy BMI. I have a long way to go, and haven't seen 10 stone since I was about 16, so I'm not convinced I'll get there, but it's there as some sort of finishing tape for now.

lastqueenofscotland · 10/02/2017 10:40

Cheddar bagels are quiet easy to bake but really time consuming. Lots of waiting around and you have to boil the dough before you cook it.

Today after my few days of drastically over eating earlier in the week I am just really hungry Envy

Usermuser · 10/02/2017 10:43

Arsey, I've read that they can be quite inaccurate and that's the story I'm sticking with... I'm still gonna start doing weights though, I think, instead of just relying on cardio. Apparently that's the way to reduce body fat.

HairsprayBabe · 10/02/2017 10:52

Cheddar Does that work? I love Tabasco Grin
