I'm 5'7"... didn't realise that made me a giant!

HairsprayBabe · 08/02/2017 09:29

Well done pony! It is always exciting when you get into a new scale bracket!

lastqueenofscotland · 08/02/2017 09:29

Pony I missed your post!! Well done

BitOutOfPractice · 08/02/2017 09:32

ArseyTussle · 08/02/2017 09:35

Bravo Pony!

I'm 5'4", tall enough to kick the arses of you shorties but scared of Beyond, she's a proper giant. Grin

Softpebbles · 08/02/2017 09:47

5ft 6. Here! Average - story of my life!! X

ponygirlcurtis · 08/02/2017 09:52

Ha, Arsey, tallies don't scare us, we go for the ankles! Grin

Thanks, I do feel great about it. I have been static for so long, didn't think I would ever get there.

BitOutOfPractice · 08/02/2017 10:08

Beyond is tall. I'd love to be taller. My 13yo dd is 6 feet tall! Confused

Well done pony! You will look and feel amazing.

I'm 5 ft 2. Sometimes at yoga I like to think I've stretched an inch.

QuimReaper · 08/02/2017 10:22

I'm 5'6, I was thinking I was one of the Big Kids until Beyond came along Shock

WELL BLOODY DONE pony! You've been so patient with it, you so deserve a new stone bracket.

And to you Softpebbles, you're on your way! You have to stick around now Grin

Glad the leg's a bit better Archie - I've read that muscle injuries cause serious water retention as they heal, which would affect the scales. Even just a hardcore muscle workout (if you lift, say) will do that. Sounds like you tend to lose in fits and starts like BOOP though.

hadto what does this Boot Camp entail?

HairsprayBabe · 08/02/2017 10:24

All my school friends are munchkins petite. I always wanted to be short and cute and little like them. I always feel like a giantess, except around DPs family, who all tower over me between 5ft11 and 6ft4.

I don't mind my height so much these days, if I was 5ft nothing I would have a lot more weight to lose!

QuimReaper · 08/02/2017 10:25

I'd love to be taller too. I seem to be surrounded by lovely willowy friends all the time, I feel a dump beside them! And at the other end I'm surrounded by teeny little pixie friends with dainty little hands and feet. Humph.

Does DD like being 6ft BOOP? She must be by far the tallest in her school year!

Chardonnay73 · 08/02/2017 10:35

Checking in. Stuck at 13lb loss😩 Have been golden since Friday but scales not budging. Really struggling to keep motivated 😔 Just been to the gym in a bid to get things moving. A NSV though, my running leggings are now too big and fell down exposing my thong whilst running Blush
Which is a back handed victory in a way .....

TVHubbyClaire · 08/02/2017 10:42

Fab to be in a new bracket pony well done you!

I think my scales are missing a 12 and are stuck on 13 something

13st 0 and a 1/2 again todaySad

Archduke · 08/02/2017 10:55

YAYYYYY for Pony that must feel so awesome.

TV it will happen, honest, keep plodding away.

Chard hahahahahhahahahhahaaaahhhahahahaha sorry but that is LOLZ

BeyondUnderthinking · 08/02/2017 10:59

Woohoo, well done pony!!!! When my scales start with a ten, I'll probably keel over!

My massive tallness is hidden by the fact I am usually sat down Grin

QuimReaper · 08/02/2017 11:10

Chardonnay Grin Sorry about the scales, but that's a bloody super NSV!

It's frustrating when the scales stall, but almost a stone since New Year is amazing whichever way you slice it.

Meant to ask BOOP, what culinary delights will you be whizzing up this weekend? I'd love to do something like that...

ArseyTussle · 08/02/2017 11:15

I'm sure that was a lovely sight, Chard.

I tied my running jacket round my middle the other day as I was too warm. I think when I run all non-essential functions shut down due to having headphones and doing a physically repetitive task. I was vaguely aware of a slithering sensation on my legs and spotted that my jacket was heading for my ankles. For some reason I couldn't actually stop my legs moving, so tried to pull it back up whilst still running. The sun wasn't quite up, so the car approaching me from behind with its headlights on got an illuminated view of my lycra clad arse and fanjo, with my purple face somewhere between my knees. I couldn't quite style it out. Grin

Chardonnay73 · 08/02/2017 11:25

Arsey 😂 I feel your pain!!

Just weighed post gym - I've done it! I've lost a stone!!! Whoo hooo!! 🎉😇🙏

hadtomakeanawfuldecision · 08/02/2017 11:48

Wow chardonnay. A stone and a pair of running leggings down!!
I hope my DD ends up 6ft, my two bffs are 5'10" or 11" and I always feel like a sturdy little pit pony beside them. Not helped by the fact that the difference is all in the legs.
Bootcamp, quim is like having Jillian Michaels shout at you for an hour. So different Instructors each day I've been but today we were lunging and squatting in various painful ways. Then running and sprints and high knees, bum kicks. Then planks and push ups. They all seem to love burpees and mountain climbers. I don't. But I come home feeling very happy with myself and I have chatted to a few nice women there too (quite isolated expat here so usually don't have any adults to talk to in the day-school bus does pick up and drop off so no school gate culture-I am looking forward to it in the Uk)

BitOutOfPractice · 08/02/2017 12:08

Absolutely chuffed as low fat chips for you Chard. You have done so so well! Can't wait to see the results of your hard work!

Quim I don't know what we'll be eating cooking. It is in a lovely restaurant in Shropshire and was a Christmas present from my sis. We are staying over in their B&B for the night

I am giggling away at those, Arsey and Chard. Grin There but for the grace of God and all that.

Claire - keep going, keep going.

ponygirlcurtis · 08/02/2017 12:15

Yaaaay Chard! Well done. Star

BitOutOfPractice · 08/02/2017 12:29

claire do keep going. It'll happen! Promise.

By the way, I think this must be the only thread on MN where nobody has even commented that you're a man Shock

Ha ha arsey and chard! And big congrats to chard!

I once tried to put on a clear rain poncho style thing when out hillwalking. Fell arse over tit, looked like I was fighting with a giant condom.
