Welcome Somo! Obviously do shoot for 7lbs or as much as you think you can manage, but any loss'll be a loss in the right direction, especially if you've only 1-1.5 stone to lose Smile

Softpebbles · 07/02/2017 19:17

My moment was that my divorce was sorted. I was settled in a new home with the girls and wanted my confidence back - not that I've ever had much. My clothes didn't fit and it was making me depressed.

Hoping for a loss tomorrow. I did way on Friday and was 2lb down however Monday it was back. Confused Weekends are a definite downfall, I love them in the respect I am so active but I lose the ability to be good food wise.

I think I will feel so much better mentally when I can get back in the 10st bracket.

Softpebbles · 07/02/2017 19:18

*weigh Blush

BeyondUnderthinking · 07/02/2017 20:14

I've had way too many lightbulb moments since I put on weight. Sadly none of them quite bright enough!! Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 07/02/2017 21:05

I'm at the gym waiting for bf to get ready and I thought I'd not very stealthily boast that I have lost my holiday weight and another Linda to be my lowest weight in years at 11 stone 8lbs and only 3lbs from finally be a healthy BMI. I am so so close. 48.5lbs gone. Only 3 more to go

Softpebbles · 07/02/2017 21:35

Well done Boop!!x

Squiffy01 · 07/02/2017 21:46

boop well done you must be so excited getting so close!

I'm finding it so hard to keep on track, yesterday and today have been bad with food. Not go out and buy chocolate and take away disaster but eating extra with soup which I haven't done in awhile and snacking a lot more. Grrrrr I'm so bloody close to a healthy weight I don't want to ruin it now Sad I just can't seem to get my head in the game.

KikisDeliveryService · 07/02/2017 22:15

You can do this Boop! 3 tiny Lindas...

QuimReaper · 07/02/2017 22:29

GAAAAA BOOP that's amazing, well done! So exciting! And at the rate you ditch the Lindas it'll be gone by Friday GrinGrin

Squiffy I sooooooo know that feeling. I'm flirting with it myself right now: just randomly fantasising about putting food in my mouth, and yesterday I totally fucked up and did. Just couldn't drag myself back on the wagon.

Are you maybe bored of what you're eating? Could some new recipes help?

BitOutOfPractice · 07/02/2017 22:49

It's not always quick. I can plateau for aaaages. And then a quick whoosh.

Plus we see away again this weekend at a cookery course / demo / tasting Confused so I'd bet I pile a few Lindas on then

It is really inspiring to see all of these WIs and NSVs. I have been diligently logging everything I eat but it isn't all good. But I am so impressed and envious (in a good way) of getting into clothes a size down or being able to wear different nicer things. I have finished my bootcamp and eaten a (quite nasty) paleo muffin so feeling virtuous and determined to keep it up.
Thanks for the inspiration!

BitOutOfPractice · 08/02/2017 07:15

It is a great thread! Glad it's inspired you had

Hey Archie hope your day has been better today. How's the leg?

Softpebbles · 08/02/2017 07:32

Hurray. Weigh in day. 2 Linda's gone.

11st 5lbs.

Thanks ladies Smile without a doubt if I didn't have this thread I would still be doing nothing about it. X

ArseyTussle · 08/02/2017 07:49

Pah, only a 1lb this week. Angry

Still, 10.5 lb since the start of the year, so I'm focussing on that.

Well done everyone!

Archduke · 08/02/2017 07:55

Hi all

Much better day today, thank you BOOP. My leg has improved enough to have a quick walk round the block without hobbling too much. It's 41 bloody degrees here today so have been hiding out inside in front of the air con. I am currently eating The Worlds Most Boring Dinner which is fried courgette, fresh peas, carrot sticks, cucumber, avocado and cheddar, topped with coriander. Or as I like to call it stuffoutofthefridgethatneedstobeeatenbeforeitgoesoff.

Well done to the losers, after dropping lbs last week I am now stuck again. I seems to be the way nothing nothing nothing WEIGHT PLUMMETS then nothing nothing nothing again. Hmm

Interesting to hear your light bulb moments. Mine was just being sick of feeling fat and unfit. One day things just clicked in my head and I decided not to be fat and unfit any more. Also my dh is training to do an endurance cycling event and it seemed that for every lb he lost I magically seemed to put it on. At 5' 2" the extra 2 stone were really showing on me.

BitOutOfPractice · 08/02/2017 08:02

Well done Arsey and pebbles. Just imagine all that weight as packs of butter and marvel at how well you've done!

It seems this thread is populated by short arses Wink is everyone 5'2"?

OP posts:
BitOutOfPractice · 08/02/2017 08:02

Ah there you are Archie. Glad the leg's improving

Rather stuck at 9.13 at the moment Angry

KikisDeliveryService · 08/02/2017 08:06

Soft Brilliant! Well done.

Scales staying firm which is entirely reasonable after Tuesday's eating. I had a golden exercise day but not food-wise - I seem to regularly have a day where I eat only snacks and no real meals. No junk food, just picking at lots of carby foods I wouldn't normally eat on other days because I can't fit them in with meals. Also loads of yogurt and nuts and dried fruit.

Did end up having my breakfast last night though so just coffee for me this morning. Over Christmas I'd got back to habitual 'must eat while drinking coffee' so it's good to have broken that habit. It means that on days I don't work, I don't expect to sit around eating and drinking coffee for half the morning!

I will have lunch and dinner today and no snacks, then a fast day tomorrow.
Exercise today will be cycling with half a week's worth of groceries, cleaning, 5-6k run, then we're going out this evening so a brisk walk to and from the venue.

Stellar67 · 08/02/2017 08:06

Think my lightbulb is on dimmer. I am such an emotional eater. Just now I'm juggling so many balls and food is crack to keep me awake.

But I'm addressing all of this. I was meant to be spinning today but DC2 is ill so we are at home, which actually is rather welcoming because I have lots of calls and jobs to do revolving personal learning for work.

I am with archduke, fat and unfit is my key motivation.

I'm also mostly eating
stuffoutofthefridgethatneedstobeeatenbeforeitgoesoff
today. Smile aka veg and more veg.

KikisDeliveryService · 08/02/2017 08:08

I feel like a giant among you at a whopping 5'5"!

HairsprayBabe · 08/02/2017 08:12

I am 5ft6 Kiki so "tall" for this thread! Grin

11.10 this morning, so things are moving in the right direction again finally!

I am not going to ruin it this weekend! Vodka and soda water on my night out, no fruity sugary cocktails and absolutely no chips from the kebab shop! Blush

BeyondUnderthinking · 08/02/2017 08:18

I'm 5'10"... Blush

0.2lb on, but I'll count that as staying the same. Just eating breakfast - sachet of oatso simple with almond milk and (frozen) summer berries added, and a lemon and ginger tea

BitOutOfPractice · 08/02/2017 08:20

I'm 5'7" so I officially Tower.

ponygirlcurtis · 08/02/2017 09:26

That made me laugh BOOP - I am one of the short arses, 5ft 2in here too! (Technically 2.5in, that half inch is important!)

Ohmygod Ohmygod Ohmygod! My scales started with a 10 this morning! First time in around 7 years I think, and then it was only for a few months. I know they will bounce back up a bit (period due imminently) but I have seen it! I nearly took a picture just to prove it to myself, it genuinely doesn't quite feel real!
