Oh god yes the Hairy Dieters are gods in this house squiffy. I credit them a huge amount for losing because their recipes never feel like diet food. Their curries in particular are stunning.

You can google their recipes. I would personally recommend:
Chicken jafrezzi
Chicken tikka masala
Fish curry (really limey and zesty)
Cod with chorizo crust
Szechuan chicken stir fry
Pan heggerty
Spicy sweet corn soup
Chicken satay
Chicken cordon bleu
Lamb potato and spinach curry
Seeet and sour chicken
Chilli
Chicken korma
Beef goulash

Erm...pretty much all of them really Grin

Did my run and now waiting for dinner without snacking. My lovely friend night me a snickers Duo which I need to save for a later date

SmellyFartado · 23/01/2017 21:49

May I join you?

Need to shift some weight. Have been utterly ruthless with the My Fitness Pal app. 1200 calls a day and have stuck to it completely. 7.5lbs off in 2wks. Staying motivated is going to be key for me.

Good luck all. Going to read the other thread later.

Archduke · 23/01/2017 22:51

Hi Smelly you're very welcome. 7.5lbs in 2 weeks is fabulous well done indeed.

I've just signed up to do a 16km run/walk on Australia Day down at the beach (this Thursday for those of you unfamiliar with our great nations public holidays). I think I'll need to take the dds and dogs so won't be able to run it.

I need some inspiration for meals. At the moment I'm eating salad + protein for every dinner. Which is fine but not overwhelmingly exciting.

DH and I joined slimming world last night. Hopefully it will help us

ArseyTussle · 24/01/2017 07:11

Hello and welcome Smelly, you've done brilliantly so far!

DP is the cook in this house, have set him on the trail of the Hairy Biker books.

BitOutOfPractice · 24/01/2017 07:21

Hello smelly you are most welcome!

16km Archie?! Blimey that's hardcore

Does anyone have an app where you can plot your measurements? Going to get the tape measure out.

ArseyTussle · 24/01/2017 07:54

Have answered my own question, have downloaded the free Progress app, you can tailor it to store whichever measurements you want.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 24/01/2017 08:03

Morning all!

Arsey I was going to ask what phone you have because on my iPhone 6 (and probably other iPhones) there is a health app you can use to track your weight and measurements. But you have found a solution!

AF has rolled into town this morning, so perhaps I can blame yesterday's apricot binge on that? Anyway onwards and downwards today, have had my porridge and I have leftover frittata for lunch so I am all set for the day.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 24/01/2017 08:07

Oh wait I just looked at the app and maybe you can't track measurements, only body fat % etc. I am sure I have seen a measurements feature somewhere though..

lastqueenofscotland · 24/01/2017 08:16

Morning all! Most of my weekend bloat seems to have gone away this morning and have another golden day planned

HairsprayBabe · 24/01/2017 08:19

Morning all, 12.2 again today

Annoyed at myself as I was an angel all day and then ate a load of crispy onion salad sprinkles while making dinner, they are so yummy because they are basically onion dipped in flour and then deep fried... hardly diet friendly! Only had a very small handful but it seems to have done the damage as the scales have not moved!

Going out out tonight.... I fear tomorrow may be worse!

BitOutOfPractice · 24/01/2017 08:30

You can track your measurements on MFP spuriouser

Has anytime noticed that their phone now recognises words like Spuriouser, Slenderistas and quim?

ArseyTussle · 24/01/2017 09:54

I can't do measurements on MFP, but then I'm using the free version. I have an iPhone 5 and there's no option for measurements in Health.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 24/01/2017 09:57

Ah that must be where I have seen it Boop!

Yes, my phone has definitely learnt to spell things from this thread. It also knows general mumsnetty acronyms like YANBU and DP/DH/DC etc. Very clever but also slightly worrying!

00100001 · 24/01/2017 10:00

arsey if you go onto the normal website you can set them up there - go to "Check in" and add the measurements (whatever you want)

Then you can enter the in the progress bit of the ios app.

Where it says "weight" with alittle picture of a graph, press that bit, and then select the measurement you want to add (eg hips) and ta-daaaa

ArseyTussle · 24/01/2017 10:01

Ooh! A handy thing on the Progress app is that it works out your BMI and tracks that too. Bonza!

ArseyTussle · 24/01/2017 10:03

Thanks Binary. I've never actually used the MFP website, only the app. It sounds like there's a whole crazy measuring world out there.Grin

ArseyTussle · 24/01/2017 10:21

Any idea how to track BMI on MFP? I can see that I can calculate it on the site, but it doesn't seem to add it to the app.

QuimReaper · 24/01/2017 12:29

Welcome Smelly, 7.5lbs in two weeks is bonkers! Come into the fold, we shall bolster you and keep you going Grin

I am getting sooooooo impatient to be able to start cooking again. On the one hand I wonder if my diet will be as successful when I go back to spending loads of time in the kitchen, but on the other I am so jealous of everyone's fancy recipes!

lastqueenofscotland · 24/01/2017 13:40

How are people going about eating out? Been invited about for dinner tomorrow and need to make sure I don't eat everything menu looks sublime as well Envy
