Happy New Year Slenderistas.

Let's move away from the Christmas bugger and ditch Linda for good.

Hello BOOP, I totally fell off the edge in December - hope all you more dedicated peeps had a lovely Christmas and New Year.

Getting more focused as of today. I got the Joe Wicks cookbook for Christmas, going to buy the Hairy Bikers one too. Weighed in this morning - a few pounds up from the start of December but expected that.

Here's to a focused January for us all. BrewHalo

Archduke · 02/01/2017 10:12

G'day all.

Count me in for another month. I'll weigh myself tomorrow but think I'm a few lbs up after xmas feasting.

I'm going to have a go at dry January or at least slightly damp January, which should help ditch the lard. I'm also running c25k and eating small healthy meals. Max nutrition minimum calories. I was doing really well before my crimbo downfall.

Aiming for a 1/2 stone loss this month.

Lorelei76 · 02/01/2017 10:54

Hello!

I'm hoping for a good January although it being bloody freezing is always hard. Off to my folks shortly but have dinner leftovers so when I return after the freezing walk from the station at least I can put something straight in the microwave....!

KikisDeliveryService · 02/01/2017 11:00

Lovely new January thread, thank you boop Smile!

Today is my first day back back back. I have done very badly, feasted to queasiness most days and generally let Christmas get the better of me. However, Fresh start today!

My weight gain is substantial but I'm going to be positive about it as it will feel all the more glorious when it melts off over the next few weeks. Today is a fast day and I've run 5.3k in the sunshine this morning and it felt great. I am eliminating bread & sugar generally and ready to embrace being healthy again.

I am full of run endorphins! Woohoo!

Squiffy01 · 02/01/2017 11:22

Hi All,

I joined a similar thread a few months back then disappeared. I've put on so much and am the heaviest I have been in years and years.
Got back from holiday last night so today is the day. 11am and I'm sooo hungry. Doesn't help we haven't done a proper shop so we don't have anything healthy in the house Hmm I've got to do something though it is getting out of hand!

BitOutOfPractice · 02/01/2017 11:41

Hello everyone!

I am also back on it today though we are still on holiday. Got to get used to logging everything again. Really got out of the habit.

I am also going to attempt a dry January. We have boozed our heads off the last few days. We were dancing and singing in our little holiday cottage at 2:30 this morning. Feeling a little delicate this morning

Marking place :)

Travelling home this afternoon so back on the wagon from the morning

QuimReaper · 02/01/2017 11:57

WAHEEEEY NEW THREAD!

I am back. On. The wagon. Yesiamyesiamyesiam.

Gawd it's hard though, when you've slipped into the habit of having chocolate and bacon for every meal.

I tried to order a huge NYD pizza last night and it didn't come, so that's a start Xmas Grin

QuimReaper · 02/01/2017 11:57

HEROIC start to the year Kiki well bloody done!

QuimReaper · 02/01/2017 11:58

I'm not going to weigh myself until Thursday, possibly Friday. I'm petrified!

Paulat2112 · 02/01/2017 12:03

Can I join please? I follow a VLCD and starting back today. It's the only thing that really works for me. Ready to make this year my year, sick of always saying I will do it and then fall off the wagon a week later. I'm in the right frame of mind and ready to lose several stone (plus several more 😱)

PurpleDaisies · 02/01/2017 12:05

I put on around 3kg over the past three months so this thread seems ideal!

My plan is to restart exercise and eat properly instead of relying on junk. I'm currently 65.8kg and feeling very lumpy.

OhTheRoses · 02/01/2017 12:10

I hope so. I will do "measurements" though. I cannot bear to get on the scales. Not quite doing dry January. Giving wet Fridays a whirl.

Ferrisday · 02/01/2017 12:11

Can I join
Can't weigh myself until Wed morning?

BeyondTheStarryNight · 02/01/2017 12:13

I have a holiday in eight weeks, so eight strict weeks coming up for me :)

BitOutOfPractice · 02/01/2017 12:23

Hello new people and golden oldies alike.

We have half an hour to wait for the ferry. We are parked outside a lovely pub. Not going in.

BusterTheBulldog · 02/01/2017 12:54

Hello all, Can I join please? Am also heaviest ever been-joyous!

Starting weight 11.4 aiming for 10.12 end of Jan. Bigger target is 9.10 by start of May.

Need to up my running and mainly STOP SNACKING!

QuimReaper · 02/01/2017 13:17

Hello newbies, everyone welcome!

Beyond is that you...?

BOOP Did you manage it? It's on the ferry that always gets me...

QuimReaper · 02/01/2017 13:19

Paula welcome and good luck! I was just saying on another thread that I do think VLCDs can be very inspirational, with their quick results, but they do send you flying off the wagon after a while, and that cycle can be very demoralising in the long term. Would it be a good idea this year to have a transition plan in place? When you feel yourself despairing at the VLCD, switch over to low-carb or something, so you don't just wail and fling yourself into a tub of ice cream?

Apologies if you already do have such a plan in place!

BeyondTheStarryNight · 02/01/2017 13:20

Yep it's me quim - new year, new name Grin

plus I have this weekend found out my sister is on mn so I'll be a lot more proactive namechanging in future!!

Pinkvici22 · 02/01/2017 13:23

Can I join please? I've put on so much weight in the last couple of months (stress, and I'm an emotional eater).

I'm aiming for 7lbs in Jan, as I have a big night out at the start of February. Ultimately, I'd like to lose a stone and a half Blush

We resisted! I've had a tea on the ferry. But I can feel it's going to be a loooooooooong month

OP posts:
TheCakes · 02/01/2017 13:44

Can I jump onboard? I'm training with a PT and trying to drop 2 stone by June. It's do-able if I stay on track.
First weigh in this morning I lost 1lb in December, which wasn't bad considering we had Xmas, new year and my 40th birthday spread over three of the four weeks!

Paulat2112 · 02/01/2017 17:13

quim I don't have anything like that because if I'm totally honest I usually stay on plan for mon-fri, lose half a stone then go crazy at the weekend and then give up. I have been doing that since September 😞 I am half a stone lighter since then but I just can't do that any more and am now ready to change my whole life. Realistically I need to lose half my body weight, I'm only 4ft 11 so can weigh as little as 6 stone 7 or so and still be healthy BMI :( I look best just over 7 stone but don't know if that will be achievable now I'm not 18 any more lol
