By the way, is our target for February another 7lb, or are some of you more slender folk near your targets and likely to slow down?

I have a wedding to go to at the end of March, and another in July, so am Planning Ahead.

HairsprayBabe · 23/01/2017 13:32

I will be hoping for -7lbs in February. Just under a stone from my first target (a healthy BMI 11.3) and 2st ish from my final target 10.5ish I think.

So tonight we have gammon and pineapple (I have dinner ready for 5.20 and then i have a spinning class at 6, should I eat after? I've never done spinning before)
tomorrow is wraps (I'll have one and be very careful all day)
wednesday syn free chinese chicken curry
thursday reduced fat sausages and mash (I'll have two)
friday chicken nuggets (I'll be careful all day again)

I have four gym classes booked so I am hoping that'll help. I really need to lose 7lbs in feb. I've gained so much over chrismtas. I am too scared of the scales so I am going t weigh on monday.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 23/01/2017 14:26

Hello all, checking in!

Weight is only up 0.25lb since Friday morning (fast days are Mon and Thurs, so Friday is my lowest weekly weight) which is brilliant - I clearly didn't overdo it at the weekend this time. Total loss so far 4.25lb, which is pathetic compared to some of you, but I'm not too cast down. I've realised how terrible my exercise levels are and I'm really trying to do something about it properly, which feels good.

Fast day today and dinner will be a smallish baked potato with tuna mayo and whatever greens we have kicking around.

Did a bit of meal-planning involving the Lean In 15 cookbook - snap, Beyond! I felt like we were in such a rut meal-wise, so I picked out a couple of new recipes to try this week from the reduced-carb section. Last night it was cod, chorizo and kale, with puy lentils and chopped tomatoes, and it was utterly delicious. Definitely doing that again! His recipes are interesting because they all involve about 4 or 5 different veg - I need more recipes like that!

00100001 · 23/01/2017 14:27

I am 81.7kg, and should be 72.7kgs - so 9kgs/20lbs to go... so yes, I will be going for 7lbs a month!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 23/01/2017 14:30

I'm going to be going for 7lbs in a month but I'm not sure I'll make it! I weigh daily during the week but tend not to at weekends. I am charting in a pretty hand-drawn graph.

Swimming KOKO? I'm hula hooping for core, but like you I need to get something to distract me while I do it!

I'm afraid to say the only weight loss exercises I've done that have worked have been running, painfully fast walking, dancing and swimming.

QuimReaper · 23/01/2017 15:42

Wow, brand new thread already at 3 pages! We are really growing into quite a clan!

I had a bad start to the day with a slice of last night's leftover pizza Blush I then chucked the rest in the bin though, so at least it can't happen again, and back on track for a blinder now!

QuimReaper · 23/01/2017 15:43

I can't believe how much everyone's lost! BOOP and Chard you're both on for a stone in the month, that is bonkers!

QuimReaper · 23/01/2017 16:02

BOOP that Echo Falls stuff is fab, isn't it! I feel guilty for not mentioning it earlier, it is the only non-alcoholic wine that passes any muster at all. Quite ironic when you consider that Echo Falls struggle to get Actual Wine right at all Grin

ponygirlcurtis · 23/01/2017 17:35

teaping I just figure if I want to reach my step target I have to. Was in front of the TV last night but I have been known to loop from the kitchen into living room and back to do actual steps. Having a lower target has helped, I usually only have to do 5mins or so.

BOOP I am having Joe Wicks creamy tarragon chicken tonight too, leftovers from Saturday. Was very simple and very nice.

BitOutOfPractice · 23/01/2017 17:47

Quim I thought the echo falls stuff was so good I double checked here was no alcohol involved! They don't make it sound very appealing do they? Green tea infusion or something. But I thought it was fine for a non-alc drink. Even the colour was ok. I'll defgo buy that again.

I'm on the train home after a very long day. Started work at 5:30. Train up to London and out the other side for a meeting in Cheshire. Now heading back. Should get in around 8. Knackered. Fortunately I packed a slice of home made Swiss roll to keep me going.

My creamy tarragon chicken is the Hairy Dieters one pony because I'm like a broken record about them. I find some of the Joe Wickes recipes very high calorie

Work bought me a cake which was delicious but probably 90million cals.
Lunch wouldn't have been too bad and dinner is healthy so shouldn't be a disaster. Bad start to an attempt at a golden 10 days!

Slight fail of a fast day. My frittata seemed to take ages to set in the oven, so I got hungry and ended up eating loads of dried apricots (of all things!) and nibbling the frozen peas that were meant to be going in the frittata. I reckon I am at about 700/800 calories though, so hopefully a lightish day tomorrow should even it out (she hopes).

Squiffy01 · 23/01/2017 19:09

What does everyone think of the Lean in 15 books? I was watching a diet program recelently that had that as one of the diets and it said how expensive it was to follow.
And what are they like for calorie count?
I'm soo bored of what I'm eating!

BitOutOfPractice · 23/01/2017 19:11

Squiffy I have found the recipes to be nice but very calorific. No calories given either if I recall so you have to work them out. Which is annoying.

OP posts:
KikisDeliveryService · 23/01/2017 19:13

I'm at the end of a fast day, not a perfect one admittedly but good enough I hope. I'm not at 10000 steps yet so might get myself out for another walk this eve.

Squiffy01 · 23/01/2017 19:18

Thanks BOOP might give them a miss then. I do love s recipe that tells you the calorie count and i don't have to do anything.

QuimReaper · 23/01/2017 20:02

I've just got in from a walk which took me almost to 10K steps, and food has been good since the Pizza Incident earlier. No swim so not golden overall, but a good day. I'm telling myself I'll be better on the exercise if this awful cold snap breaks on Wednesday as it's forecast to. I need to end the month on a good'un because I won't be able to lose a sausage next week, so will have to focus on maintaining. Dinner out tomorrow which is not a good start, but hoping for results this week with three goldies in the diary.

I seem to be losing sooooo slowly these days though, even on a golden week, with 3 or 4 goldies on the trot, I never seem to lose more than a single pound Confused

QuimReaper · 23/01/2017 20:02

Squiffy everyone on this thread seems to really rate the Hairy Bikers cookbook, have you looked into that? The recipes always sound delish!
