Anyone looking to lose 100lbs plus in 2017?

TaliDiNozzo · 27/12/2016 11:31

Just that really. I promise myself every year that I'm going to do it then I'm sat here every fucking year still not having done it.

I think I probably need to lose around 150lbs tbh but I thought it might be helpful to have a 100lbs plus thread for anyone in a similar boat to me.

How are you planning on doing it? I am restarting Weight Watchers (at home on the app), clean-ish eating and setting myself a daily step goal. Am also moving house in January/February which helps (in my mind) with the fresh start ethos.

Great Callmesausage, off to a cracking start with 7lbs less than you thought!

I think we are dipped out now Grin

2.5lbs this week (23). Total loss 49.75lb, 50.25lb remaining . Surgery target met, 5 weeks to go. I am merely obese now rather than very or morbidly obese, BMI is 34.8 rather than nearly 43.

Zesty I was thinking yesterday it wasn't long ago you were in loads of pain, you're amazing! Well done in the second pump class, don't think I could do one. My knees are why I'm a bit Luke warm about running, I just wanted to have tried once ad haven't decided if I will try again. Very aware of my inner thighs this morning.

This week's result shows nicely how weight loss is not linear, I have only eaten 3500 calories less than I've burned. But last week should have been 2lbs and was 1lb so this week I've caught up and had a bit of a whoosh which has tightened me up a bit. My squishy fat still there but not quite as bad!

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 21/04/2017 10:09

Mirabelle that's fantastic you're at your surgery target already, with weeks to spare!

Looks like I'm on track for a 2lb loss this week - really pleased. Hoping it's the same when I hop on the scales tomorrow Smile

Callmesausage · 21/04/2017 10:26

Well done everyone

ZestyDragon · 21/04/2017 11:07

So probably not a huge shock but I did not lose any weight this week! Now who is surprised???

Mirabelle well done on your loss. You are properly half way now! My knees are an issue - I have one knee that really does hurt and I need to be careful at pump and doing squats as I can only go so far.

Best of luck for tomorrow NoTractors

Thank you all. Fingers crossed for today NoTractors. Zesty I think STS is a win this week! sorry about your knee.

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 22/04/2017 10:39

Zesty Grin if you had lost anything this week, I think you'd have had a few joiners to your '3 eggs diet'! Grin

I've lost 1.5lb this week, so I'm happy - especially after not much movement in the scales for the last month. Like Mirabelle, this brings my BMI into 'mere obesity'! Going to drop the carbs and dairy a bit more next week as that doesn't seem to help me (surprise surprise, bread and cheese aren't weight loss tools Wink)

Have a good weekend all!

BreakingSad · 22/04/2017 11:20

I've STS, I couldn't pull it back after the Easter weekend. But I did make some new dishes and smoothie this week, which has boosted my motivation, so hoping it will show next week.

Well done Notractors

Well done NoTractors , great Easter loss!

BreakingSad it will catch up with you, most of my loss this week was last week's if you see what I mean. The question is how much would you usually put on over Easter that you didn't last year?,

Well done Notanurse, you're still averaging 1.5lbs a week which is a great pace to lose at and makes about a 5.5 stone loss over the course of the year. Not good news on the gallbladder front though, how are you planning to proceed with it ie. will you be considering surgery?

I'm slowly working my way to a very inspirational thread on My Fitness Pal . Worth a dip into and gives a good insight into many of the issues we'll face.

BreakingSad · 23/04/2017 14:53

Mirabelle thanks for the link, just read a few pages (didn't realise I started on page 61) now starting from the beginning. Very inspired whilst reading that and watching London marathon. One quote I saw on the thread 'Learn to ride the rollercoaster and don't get off'

I think that is a wise decision Notanurse.I regret not having kine out earlier now. Mine could be controlled at the start but now they kick off all times of day randomly and sometimes when I haven't eaten.

Callmesausage · 24/04/2017 08:08

Well done on your loss notanurse.

Thanks for the link mirabelle, I'll have a read if that. Still going ok st the moment, weigh in every other Thursday, so hoping for a good loss next week.

iloveredwine · 24/04/2017 09:52

Had some wine at the weekend but none in the week. Hopefully not too baf. Will weigh in tomorrow!😕

ZestyDragon · 24/04/2017 18:36

Back from my weekend conference - I haven't gained weight which is good but I didn't go mad either. The colleagues I went with went mental with the booze. I didn't which means I didn't have a hangover for all the meetings. There was a big 3 course meal Saturday night and obviously big breakfasts. Back on my calorie counting this morning with the aim of a loss this week!

Went to the gym today which was good. Lifting higher weights than 2 weeks ago.

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 24/04/2017 21:19

Well done Zesty!

I went to the gym yesterday for the first time ever - I totally misjudged the time as it was so busy (mid-afternoon - apparently one of their quieter times on a Sunday) but got shown how to use all the machines and have a short routine to work on, and will review it in a month's time. I will admit that I didn't feel very comfortable when I was there - combination of new environment and a few very intimidating clients, I think. But I will keep going Smile

iloveredwine · 25/04/2017 07:51

6lbs down so 94 to go!

BreakingSad · 25/04/2017 10:09

Well done iloveredwine great loss

iloveredwine · 25/04/2017 10:15

Thank you! Was quite pleased. I'm in the right mindset for it at the moment so hopefully it will continue Smile

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 25/04/2017 10:17

Hi everyone,

I haven't been on the thread for ages, I fell off the weight loss wagon and am back to where I started, thought I'd try and re join

Weight 251lb
To lose 101lb
Lost so far 0lb

Callmesausage · 25/04/2017 11:08

Well done Zesty and NoTractors. Great loss iloveredwine.

Still keeping on, feeling quite positive at the moment and will hang on to that feeling as long as I can

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 25/04/2017 16:33

I'm feeling victorious - had a client meeting and a whole heap of ridiculous pastries, pasties, donuts, tray-bakes etc was ceremonially placed in front of me......I ignored it all and sipped my black coffee instead.

Unfortunately, I kept refilling it - so I've had 4 coffees and now, several hours later, I'm still practically vibrating at my desk Blush I've had a very productive afternoon though! Grin

Callmesausage · 25/04/2017 20:14

Well done NoTractors, excellent willpower.
