Happy Advent!

Here's the link to the November thread where we cheered each other on to be MoSlender

Now we slide frostily into Christmas with the hope of losing more (or at least not losing our grip completely)

They said about 24 hours observation to make sure I don't rip it again on normal movement :)

BeyondTheHarpy · 02/12/2016 13:17

I did not feel brave when I was sat in a puddle of blood in my bath :(

QuimReaper · 02/12/2016 13:35

Oh Beyond nobody would but you're being a bloody hero now!

My legs went all numb just reading the words "rip it again"! Shock

It must have been so horrid getting out of a hot bath after such a huge blood loss Sad

BitOutOfPractice · 02/12/2016 14:43

Beyond you are nails!

Very well done on your loss quimmy. That's great news. And you are soooooo close to goal!

Hello again wine. You did well in November!

Can I join in? Been going up and down for months now with the same 8lb.

Currently on the up side and chocolate oranges were only 50p at Asda last week Xmas Blush

ponygirlcurtis · 02/12/2016 15:04

Good grief Beyond. What a scare. I did laugh at the thought of you wanting to weigh yourself iin the midst of all this. Grin Dedication to the cause indeed.

I have an event to go to and spent yesterday evening trying on the gazillion size 14 dresses I ordered online. Had a similar experience to you Mummy, I was surprised they fitted and surprised they looked good! Head still very much not caught up.

QuimReaper · 02/12/2016 15:48

Thank you BOOP! This is the lightest I've been in... possibly four years?!

QuimReaper · 02/12/2016 15:49

Although in other news, I just turned up to a meeting 166.5hrs early.

Winning at losing, losing at life.

QuimReaper · 02/12/2016 15:51

Join us rabbit! We're all battling the chocolate this month, with varied success Grin

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 02/12/2016 16:45

Well done Quim! And at least you weren't 166.5 hours too late Grin

I'm staying with my sister for a few days but I am trying to have a fast day today before all the food I will eat this weekend! We've been out and about in town all day and I have been sipping lots of water and black coffee to sustain me. Think we are going to Zizzi for dinner so I'll have to scour the menu for something suitably low calorie beforehand, and avoid the wine.

Oh and I saw Ian Hislop in The British Museum and I love him a little bit, so that made my day!

BitOutOfPractice · 02/12/2016 17:30

That's exactly where you should see Ian Hislop isn't it Spuriouser?

Quim how in god's green earth did you manage to be 166.6 hours early? Grin

Spurious that's so cool!

Earlier this year I went to a talk he gave with Michael Palin. I saw him in the bar and just gaped at him, and he gave me a long-suffering sort of smile Grin

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 02/12/2016 20:33

Haha I don't think he noticed me skulking around staring, and anyway I of course played it very cool Grin

KikisDeliveryService · 02/12/2016 20:47

Mmm, delicious chocolate battles. I would say that I'm winning them in that I can vanquish a bar of lindt no problem. Grin

Ok, that's not very motivational. So my wins this week are - I've been eating delicious salad lunches at work packed full of nutritious delights. While I was coping with sickly mum I couldn't fathom getting that organised first thing, but now it's all becoming possible again. Smile Progress. Also I've started using a standing desk at work which I believe is a pretty good calorie burner compared to sitting all day.

On the negative side, my feet are really sore from the dark, frosty run I did on Wednesday. I wore the same running shoes and socks I always wear but am suffering now. I can only deduce that I was running more cautiously or something so striking the ground differently? No idea. I run once or twice a week usually so this is surprising. use of standing desk has not helped sore feet, haha

I have spotted no famous people today.

BeyondTheHarpy · 02/12/2016 20:47

I once saw Ian Beale Grin

KikisDeliveryService · 02/12/2016 20:53

My favourite ever celeb spot was seeing Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter at a gallery at the height of their Bill and Ted fame and at height of kiki's devotion to Ted.

KikisDeliveryService · 02/12/2016 20:57

My most embarrassing celeb spot/meet is the time I drunkenly encountered McCauley Kulkin in a Camden pub. I'm not sure I was entirely kind to him. Poor chap.

QuimReaper · 02/12/2016 21:00

NSV! NSV!

I am in the pub with my friend and wearing a fairly slinky dress, and I took my cardi off and stood up to go to the loo and she actually GASPE and stood up and grabbed me shouting "what the fuck!"

I brushed it off and acted all coy but I felt FANFUCKINGTASTIC and went to the loo and danced in front of the mirror GrinGrinGrin

KikisDeliveryService · 02/12/2016 21:08

There's no hiding in a slinky dress! GO GO SLIMLINE QUIM!

Mummyreindeerlegz · 02/12/2016 21:34

Nsv?

I bet you look awesome, awesome, lemon awesome. As I'd say.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/12/2016 21:42

Slim Quim Grin

That's great though!

QuimReaper · 03/12/2016 00:19

I may be a little drunk Grin

NSV is a Non Scale Victory, like when you zip into a dress that hasn't fit you for ages, or your friend double takes at your new figure GrinGrin

Ages since I felt confident enough to wear anything slinky, it's probably not so much that I've lost since I've seen her, as I haven't worn anything figure-hugging in the last year Confused

QuimReaper · 03/12/2016 00:21

Poor MacaulayGrin PLEASE tell us what you said!

QuimReaper · 03/12/2016 00:27

DH once apparently met George Clooney and Johnny Depp in a bar and did a pole dance for them.

He can't remember whether he made it up or not Confused

BitOutOfPractice · 03/12/2016 08:53

Morning morning. I'm up and at 'me this morning. Gym and supermarket before guests arrive
