Happy Advent!

Here's the link to the November thread where we cheered each other on to be MoSlender

Now we slide frostily into Christmas with the hope of losing more (or at least not losing our grip completely)

Any news Beyond?

QuimReaper · 01/12/2016 11:13

Also mummy what is "mumsnet thin"? Is that more or less thin than you-thin?

BeyondTheHarpy · 01/12/2016 11:38

Dr wanted to see me, I'm waiting in gynae outpatients now. All my one look normal, but I still feel like crap. Will update again when I know more :)

HairsprayBabe · 01/12/2016 11:49

Flowers beyond hope everything is ok

Quim I belive MN thin is a vintage 8 not modern obvs as vanity sizing means it is really a size 16 or some such bollocks.

For me thin would be the 9.5 or less that would put me in the lower half of healthy in terms BMI category.

11.3 will put me into the over all healthy category, would like to be sub 10.5 finally so there is a little bit of leeway should I decide I want to eat cake or pizza or wine without immediately making myself over weight again! That would make me about a size 10 and I will have lost 5st over all.

BitOutOfPractice · 01/12/2016 11:55

Oh beyond I hope you're ok love Flowers

MN thin is 8 Stone and no more. That is legendary as a MN chicken that feeds 20

HairsprayBabe · 01/12/2016 12:03

8st - regardless if you are 5ft10 or not

If you are under 5ft3 you should really be 6st

My fave thing I ever read on here was "Overweight means you can't see ribs" Hmm
Surely it just depends on your body shape, I have a slim waist and you can almost see my ribs atm, and I am a stone overweight Confused

BeyondTheHarpy · 01/12/2016 12:43

I'm okay, it's an infection but I have ABs now :)
Another plus side, I have unintentionally done a 20 hour fast as I really couldn't face food this morning

abigwideworld · 01/12/2016 12:45

Quim there'll be no chocolate or (non healthy extra) cheese here! Far too much to do!

abigwideworld · 01/12/2016 12:46

Posted too soon. I meant to say far too much going on this month! What with the wedding and the baby, hardly got time for snacking ConfusedSad

BeyondTheHarpy · 01/12/2016 13:14

However I just murdered my 20hour fast with mcds, had to eat something on the way home - before I ate DH!!

BitOutOfPractice · 01/12/2016 13:33

Crikey beyond I'd say you needed that McDs. Look after yourself!

Abigwideworld exciting times! And congrats on your new baby

abig I was ever so good in the leadup to my wedding, and then wedding week rolled around and I just lived on chocolate and Prosecco for the last three days - figured it couldn't make a difference that late! Grin

Congrats on the wedding and the baby, very exciting time for you - I can imagine it'd be hectic with all that going on and Christmas on top.

I'm so pleased to hear it Beyond, I must admit the first thing I thought of when I saw your post was poor old Buggeroff and her terrible ordeal. I'm thrilled to see your DH continues to be a superstar and that you've broken your fast in admirable fashion!

QuimReaper · 01/12/2016 13:51

I wasn't sure whether "mumsnet thin" went entirely the other way - I see a lot of "nonsense, anything under a UK size 14 is downright unhealthy, and if you even think of eating less than 1800 calories a day you'll enter "starvation mode" and die" Confused

HairsprayBabe · 01/12/2016 14:08

abig Congratuations! On baby, wedding, everything! What a lovely time of year to get married Smile

Quim Quite, there are some very weird attitudes to food and body image on here. A lovely one is the myth that less than 1000 cals a day will lead you to gain weight as your body holds on to every calorie.... Hmm not from where I am standing! And don't even get my started on what is healthy/not healthy in terms of food. Jeez some of the posters on here can pick apart the nutritional healthiness of a plate of grilled chicken and steamed veg.

ponygirlcurtis · 01/12/2016 15:43

Glad you are feeling better Beyond, that sounded a bit worrying.

Had an OK day, I am having pulled pork and slimming world coleslaw for dinner. Already can't wait.

Mummyreindeerlegz · 01/12/2016 16:21

Maybe it's style and beauty thin? I'm 5ft3 so would have to weigh less than my 1 year old to qualify :-)

I've been obese my entire life until this year. I find in my head I still am. I'm aiming to get this last half a stone off and then maintaining.

I've got a dress to wear on Christmas Day and I'd like to be more toned and a bit slimmer to carry it off.

That is a gorgeous dress Mummy, you look stunning in it. Love the peep-toe shoes too. I totally agree it takes the head a while to catch up with the new reflection.

QuimReaper · 01/12/2016 18:56

Wow mummy that dress is a beaut!

Golden day here. I swam sixty-four lengths and waked over 12.5km.

I have been rewarded with a miso soup, soon to be followed with a measly supper.

If the scales don't reward me tomorrow I shall poo on them in protest.

KikisDeliveryService · 01/12/2016 18:59

mummy You look gorgeous already, and like you've been slim your whole life. Thirding the taking-ages-for-head-to-catch-up-with-your-body thing. It's taken me 3 years of being a 'normal' weight person to not feel I have to justify it by announcing that I lost a crap tonne of weight. Trouble is the head thing works in the other direction too and I am all too easily in denial that I'm gaining weight again, hence being on this thread!

Blimey beyond I missed that drama, glad you're ok now.

KikisDeliveryService · 01/12/2016 19:01

Fuck's sake Quim! Put us all to shame why don't you. I'm still congratulating myself for running 5k in sub zero temperatures yesterday!

Obviously I am very impressed and you are amazing!

Bunnyjo · 01/12/2016 19:16

You look beautiful, Mummy.

Quim and Kiki, you're both putting me to shame - I have two essays for my masters due early next week and, as such, I have amassed the grand total of 3000 steps today! I've only had around 700Kcal too, so my lack of physical motion shouldn't be too damaging...

BitOutOfPractice · 01/12/2016 19:46

Wow mummy you look absolutely fabulous. The dress isn't bad either Wink really, you look really great

Quim you are officially today's GG (Golden Girl). That is an impressive amount of exercise Star

You are all very kind! I was quite surprised how "ok" I looked. Just got these last few stubborn pounds to go. I cannot imagine not having weight to lose. I know that probably sounds weird and is a "first world dieting" problem, i feel like I have to tell everyone that I'm usually a size 16.

BeyondTheHarpy · 01/12/2016 20:44

Argh, I am back in!! Nice ride in an ambulance too. It started again and hasn't stopped...

KikisDeliveryService · 01/12/2016 21:21

Oh shit beyond Shock hope they sort you out quickly [worried face]
