Happy Advent!

Here's the link to the November thread where we cheered each other on to be MoSlender

Now we slide frostily into Christmas with the hope of losing more (or at least not losing our grip completely)

Thanks all! Grin After my beastly gain last week I'm going all out, and for me this weigh-in counts as the "November Round-up" weigh-in even though it's already December.

Kiki I absolutely think a 5K in sub-zeros is more impressive! I can't run 5K in perfect conditions, and any of my C25K attempts have petered out when it got cold, as I can't handle the freezing face and ears Blush I think meandering to and around the local park (which is how I got my 12.5km) on a beautiful afternoon doesn't deserve too much of a medal!

I'll take one for the lengths though

QuimReaper · 01/12/2016 21:31

FUCK Beyond just saw your update! I thought you were out of the woods!

Can you keep us posted? Flowers

BitOutOfPractice · 01/12/2016 21:49

Oh beyond no! I hope they are getting to the bottom of this and you're very soon on the mend. Sending you healing and soothing vibes xxx

Hope it eases up Beyond, very worrying. Sending vibes for better nes.

MountainDweller · 02/12/2016 00:34

Just checking in as I missed the end of the Mo-slender thread. My loss for the month was 2 kilos (4.4 pounds). Would have liked more but a loss is a loss! I know it will be less in December but hoping to shift a few more pounds before I give up and start stuffing my face for Christmas (TMI but had a good start when I did a giant poop Blush and lost a few hundred grams!!) Would love to get to 95 kilos by Christmas Day!

Thank you all for your support when I was having a major wobble. I've had a couple more but have read about others too, which makes me feel better. I am pretty much a diet virgin at 49, and very much going it alone (haven't even told DH).

Quim that is amazing! I can manage about 2 lengths before I collapse like a beached whale.
beyond how scary. You're in the right place. Hope you feel better soon.
mummy amazing dress. You look lovely in it already.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/12/2016 05:35

Hello mountain

2 kilos is great. Gone forever! Why are you dieting secretly? Pretty sure your DH will notice soon!

If you're reading beyond, here's some more good wishes coming your way.

Morning

beyond fingers crossed those antibiotics kick in very soon .

Another morning when I could go to the gym early but I probably won't .
I will however avoid the fried egg sandwich ......

Need more sleep but I know from experience it has buggered off for the day .

boop is this a general thing for you to ?

BeyondTheHarpy · 02/12/2016 07:38

They've kept me in, packed my vag to stop the bleeding, given me a drip to replace some of my fluids and changed the antibiotic tablets to drip as well. I'm feeling okay now, though I keeled over three times on my way in yesterday!! Clearly I needed that fluid Grin

Damn lack of weighing scales here so I can't let you know if I've lost

KikisDeliveryService · 02/12/2016 07:56

Good to hear from you beyond . I'm not sure the 'blood loss diet' is going to catch on though frankly. Flowers

HairsprayBabe · 02/12/2016 08:12

Mummy That dress is fab, you look incredible! I must say I am disappointed you don't have actual reindeer legs! Xmas Grin

Beyond Flowers Hope you are ok Sad

12.5 this morning so I'm heading back down again after my meal out on Wednesday. I put my decorations up last night and went to bed early, am knackered this cold has really taken it out of me!

BitOutOfPractice · 02/12/2016 08:23

Howlong I had my heart broken 4 years ago, stopped sleeping and pretty much never got it back. I have a frozen shoulder too so that's not helping.

Thank goodness you're getting sorted beyond. Flowers

Hairspray - they are covered with the super thick tights Xmas Grin

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 02/12/2016 09:17

How scary Beyond, hope you are feeling better soon. If I were you I wouldn't worry too much about dieting right now, your body needs plenty of nutritious food to fight off the infection. You can worry about losing weight when you've recovered Flowers

Mummy that dress looks amazing! Well done on your weight loss so far.

Mummyreindeerlegz · 02/12/2016 09:42

Thank you :-) it's a long slog but 3.5st down feels like quite an achievement.

Cake for Beyond. It's calorie free for you.

QuimReaper · 02/12/2016 10:12

Crumbs Beyond, you poor thing! I did Grin at "packed my vag", you're certainly bringing your sense of humour to the situation! Dr Quim prescribes whatever the hell you fancy to eat, you need to replenish!

I should be reporting in re scales about 1.5hrs...

HairsprayBabe · 02/12/2016 10:22

Quim I don't know how you are so patient in waiting for the scales! It is literally the first thing I do in the morning after a wee!

BeyondTheHarpy · 02/12/2016 10:47

😘 to everyone sending well wishes, thank you

I had porridge for breakfast, but unsweetened and I'm sticking to green tea :) no idea what is for lunch, but my plan is to try to stick to the LCHF principles but without counting calories. Bread and pasta mess up my ibs anyway, so don't need persuasion to steer clear (ignore the burger I had yesterday there, sometimes it's worth it Grin !!)

Off the drip now and unpacked/catheter out. Apparently the swelling from the infection pulled my stitches apart, but atm it doesn't look like they need redoing, bleeding has calmed down :)

HairsprayBabe · 02/12/2016 11:06

Beyond You are so stoic! I would be in bits! Glad you are doing better Smile
Come join me on the Low Carb bench, It's fun except for the no bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, sugar thing

QuimReaper · 02/12/2016 11:20

Hairspray I don't have scales at home at the mo so I have to go to Boots! I'd be up and reporting on MN hours earlier if I did Grin

wineusuallyhelps · 02/12/2016 12:52

Hello [waves]....

I was on the November thread but lost the plot with posting towards the end - life got a bit stupid-busy!

Just wanted to say thanks to those on the thread. It really did help for moral support and motivation to hear from others.

I lost 5lb in November and have 3lb to go. I will try to lose this in December (unlikely with all the Baileys Wink) so I may be back in in January....

Beyond I'm sorry you aren't well.

Good luck to all December people!!

BeyondTheHarpy · 02/12/2016 13:00

I agree wine, having these threads does really help keep you on the wagon

Just had fish and veg for lunch then ruined it with three cookies
The staff are laughing at the amount of water I drink again

QuimReaper · 02/12/2016 13:00

YAAAAAAAAY! A LOSS! Grin Grin

I am smack on the KG bracket, another 100g would have seen me smash another for the month but I'm still delighted!

I have lost 1.5kg this month - exactly 1kg to go for my target for the year, and 3kg to my overall target! Shock I know it's nada compared with you spectacular losers, but I'm very happy with it!

I wonder if I can manage the 1kg in the next two weeks, then claw back any gain in the final week of the month? We shall see...

QuimReaper · 02/12/2016 13:02

(Obviously by "this month" I mean November Confused - last weigh-in was Nov 3rd, I seem to be working in periods rather than months...)

HairsprayBabe · 02/12/2016 13:02

I have drank 2ls of water today, 3 cups of tea and I just had vegetable broth for lunch.

It is omelette and salad for dinner, quick and easy as I have mountains to do this weekend before december really gets rolling!

QuimReaper · 02/12/2016 13:07

Oooh welcome back wine, good to see you again!

Beyond how much longer will you be in there, do they think? Agree with Hairspray, you are being amazingly brave Star Biscuit

(That's a real biscuit by the way, not a sceptical biscuit Grin)
